OOC > I think its a statue of a man with a crown on, and then a statue of a bag of coins (no person). A woman with a crown on. A statue of a jar of honey (also with no person). That's how I interpreted it, especially since the commoner is not carrying anything, and all he things on the table seem to not have any people attached to them.

Val tries another explanation: "The crown signals nobility, hence the gold and expensive goods such as honey. The servant's prominent item is an apron, so perhaps she is washing the laundry or cooking or sewing. Surely there is a narrative here we are not seeing yet... The king buys honey for his queen by ways of sending the soldier to get it from the peasant? The king solves his problems with money, the queen with honey(ed words), and the peasant with their toil? Money, honey... coney? Do we have a rabbit statue?"
Evy looks thoughtful, then smirks. "Or perhaps the queen sells her honey and gives the king money to keep him docile, so he can buy all the trinkets he wants."
Then she grows thoughtful again. "It feels like there should be a trick to it. Something simple, but so sensible that it must be right. Kings and queens make me think of a deck of cards, but honey is not one of the usual suits. And I don't know where the commoner fits. I wonder what the consequences are for guessing wrong..."

Val speaks as he thinks: "Maybe... Maybe... King of diamonds... Queen of hearts (honey heals)... The Jack of spades could be the soldier on the table there, so perhaps the peasant represents the Joker... or the common cards... and the missing suit would be clubs. A spinning wheel could look like a tree of sorts (a pinwheel?).... If the cards are theme, the soldier would go with the sword.... Maybe we replace the peasant with the soldier and add the sword next to it? "
A point of perhaps confusion: There are a bunch of individual crow statues, not a single statue of a bunch of crows.
A point of clarification: The first shelf has a statue of a man wearing a crown and a statue of a bag of coins (two statues). The second shelf has a statue of a woman wearing a crown and a statue of a jar of honey (two statues). The third shelf has a statue of a common woman wearing an apron (one statue) and an empty place.
Evy swipes the coins and the honey, and puts them on the table, then she goes back and centers the remaining statues on their shelves, blowing dust off the surfaces (even if there isn't any). With a wave of her hand she cleans the statues and the shelves, while she's doing this re-arranging.

"Let's reset," Val suggests. "Nothing bad seems to have happened as you rearranged the shelves, so perhaps we can try a few different statues in the vacant sixth spot and hopefully we'll get it right."
Val helps Evy reset the shelves and, with a sixth statue already in hand, places it in the vacant spot. "Coins, honey, and toil, why not?" Evy sees that the statue he places in the vacant spot is that of the spinning wheel.
As Val releases his hold on the spinning wheel statue, Evy's dagger zings in their minds, but there's nothing they can do. There is a pop, and the cousins feel a small jolt of electricity arc through their bodies. (You both take 3 lightning damage.) The suit of armor's voice calls from the other side of the door, "Try again!"
"Ow! Festering fingers of Fraz-Urb’luu! That hurt." Evy shakes it off. "So, not that. Maybe the nursery rhyme I was talking about? Blackbirds came out of a pie in that one, but we have both black birds and pie." She shakes her head. Taking the spinning wheel, she puts it back on the table, but to the side, and ponders. She picks up the pie sculpture and raises an eyebrow at Val. "Maybe you should back off and see if this things has a range limit."

"Hrmm.. Sorry about that," Val apologizes while Evy takes the wheel statue back to the table. Nodding at his cousin's idea, Val is sure to back away from the table. The room was said to be large, so Val tries to be a good 35 feet away if possible.
From afar, he theorizes: "If it is not the pie, it might be worth comparing the many crow statues next. Maybe one of them is slightly different."
When Val turns to walk away from Evy and the shelves, he realizes the hallway they entered from is gone. There appears to be only one exit from the room: the door through which the suit of armor stepped. Frowning, he still moves away to hopefully avoid any further zappage. However, as Evy releases the pie statue, again, her dagger rings an alarm in her head (but not Val's) just before another shock of electricity gets them both. (4 lightning damage to you both). Again, the suit of armor's voice calls, "Try again!"
Hint #3 if you want it:
You're on the right track, but the statues follow specific lines in the nursery rhyme. I'm OK with you looking it up if you don't have it memorized. I sure don't!
Remaining statues to choose from: a cake, a basket of laundry, a plate with a steak, a toy soldier, a sword, and quite a few sculptures of crows.
Evy dances back cussing in Infernal. “Well, that seems to have jolted my memory. It’s laundry. She’s a washerwoman.” She backs away, though, looking a bit worse for wear..

"I really hope you are right this time, cousin... three strikes and all that."
Now knowing that distance does not dissuade punishment, Val inspects the table again in hopes of identifying a crow statue that might be slightly different from the others... just in case they get another shock and a fourth try is permitted.

“Except the soldier is a toy soldier and these three are realistic looking people…” Evy frowns at the table and the shelves.

Who's Val to stop her? He has rarely succeeded in the past the few times he tried.

"I..." Val stutters for a second "I though the armor said we should complete its collection, not make it smaller."
As Evy admires her work ... nothing happens. The statues and shelves are crystal clean, however.
Hint #1 (if you want it):
You kind of touched on the answer early on in your musings about the riddle.

It’s based on a nursery rhyme.
