Kathrine pauses as she looks between the two bandits. "So are the what?" She asks, pointedly looking at the one that did the hushing. "Any help you give us may go to some lessening of your troubles with the local authorities."
Gabriel shakes his head. "Honestly who quotes some one mid conversation and hopes to get away with it." Moving to Alarion, Gabriel whispers in the half elf's ear, "any chance you can make these men more inclined to tell us what they know?"
Grzak will gather the dropped weapons into a far corner of the room. No sense tempting the bandits into picking them up. He will request at blade point that each relinquish any other weapons they might have hidden on their persons and deposit those in the same pile.
Alarion walks over to the one who talked and takes him over into a corner, conversing for a moment. They come back and the bandit says "There are villagers imprisoned on the east side of the manor. That's what I was saying before."
"My thanks," Gabriel says to the bandit but glances at Alarion, "we need to help these villagers. Can you guide us?" Against Gabriel asks the bandit then looks at Alarion, silently asking can we trust him?
"Yes, let us find these prisoners and release them." Kathrine agrees, smiling at the bandit. "First we need to repay a debt of our own though, so let us take the dead to the crevace in the chamber with the exit tunnel."
The bandit leads you to a long room partitioned into three areas, with iron bars walling off the north and south. Filthy straw lines the floors of those cells, the hinged doors of which are secured by chains and padlocks. A pair of disheveled human women are held in the cell to the south, while a human boy is confined to the north. All are dressed in plain gray tunics and have iron collars fitted around their necks. A heap of discarded clothing is piled carelessly against the far wall. As you approach, the prisoners shrink back towards the wall, watching you with fearful eyes.
"Open this cells now!" Gabriel's tone is thick with anger. Forcing his anger down he turns to the prisoners, "I am Garbiel a paladin or Torm, and this is Kathrine, a priestess of Eldath. All will be well, I swear to you." Gabriel hopes the names of two gods known for goodness will help earn their trust, or at least put them a little at ease.
"Yes, please unlock these cell doors." Kathrine says, giving the women smiles as she aims her words to their bandit guide. She continues speaking, her attention focused on the women and boy. "Everything is going to be ok now. We are here to get you free of this place. No one will hurt you now."
The bandit hurriedly unlocks the door and the prisoners rush out, murmuring incoherent thanks. As soon as they're out, they fall to the ground with exhaustion and hunger.

Alarion nods, and the bandit says he would be happy to.
"Then lead on good sir, if you please." Gabriel motions for the red brand to take the lead. "The rest of you leave Phandalin."
“Let them carry the corpses to the chasm on their way out of the tunnel.” Grzak growls.

Gabriel nods to Grzak, "as my friend says. Gather the dead, and bring them to the chasm. You begin to repay your debt this day."

Grzak surveys the cell block. His mind recalls his torture in the goblin caves and his heart begins to race.

"You ok my friend? You look ashen." Gabriel lays a hand on one of Grzak's massive shoulders.
Grzak flinches violently at the touch of the hand on his shoulder. But it does snap him out of his flashback.
He nods and grunts in agreement that he is ok.

Grzak offers some of his rations to the prisoners. He hopes he won’t have to carry them out.

Kathrine also gives rations to the released prisoners. "Let us get you out of here, and back home." She says softly as the three eat.
Gabriel nods to Kathrine "I agree, time to leave this place."
