Sarith does calm down with the other drow's influence, but he is still very agitated. He does not sheath his sword and he paces restlessly.
"Nothing is affecting me anymore than it is affecting the rest of you. Something is wrong in these tunnels. But why do you all assume I am the one who is sick? (he points his sword at Kisiki and several of you). The drow accused me of murder. Now you all accuse me of being tainted and want to put your magic in my mind. I have seen you kill the derro when you decided he was trouble. Someone may have also killed the two gnomes. If you don't trust me, that's fine. I don't trust you either."
He seems to settle down a bit.
Vrah, if you are sitting outside of the alcove keeping watch, roll me a perception check.
"You have seen the powers that Great-Scale grants me. I can see what ails you as clearly as I can see the rocks around us. No other here is afflicted with the sickness. Have faith that Seumanya loves you and wants you healed; She would not have placed me here before you if She did not. I will channel Her power and return you to the Cycle. Come to me. Come to your salvation, Sarith." Kisiki holds his arms out as though to embrace the Drow. The rat-head lantern wobbles in his hand, casting ominious shadows around the small cave.
Sarith says "Lolth is my goddess, not Semuanya" and he pushes past you out into the main cavern again.
Vrah, who had been drifting off to sleep sitting by the entrance, is startled awake by Sarith passing by him. He walks on about 25 feet away from the alcove and sheaths his sword. He stands their fuming for a moment, then turns to head back, just as he does, you hear three javelins whistle through the air. One clatters on the ground by his feet, but the other two strike him in the back. The drow stumbles and falls to his knees with a shocked look on his face.

Petmailer pulls out his bow and crouches slightly, moves forward to see where the javelins came from, taking aim. "Heads up, we have company!" He tries to stick to the shadows, stay out of sight, and look through the gloom for who attacked Sarith.

1
Shadowy tendrils lash around you. Each creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 1d12 necrotic damage. You also gain 1d12 temporary hit points.
2
You teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Until your rage ends, you can use this effect again on each of your turns as a bonus action.
3
An intangible spirit, which looks like a flumph or a pixie (your choice), appears within 5 feet of one creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you. At the end of the current turn, the spirit explodes, and each creature within 5 feet of it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 force damage. Until your rage ends, you can use this effect again, summoning another spirit, on each of your turns as a bonus action.
4
Magic infuses one weapon of your choice that you are holding. Until your rage ends, the weapon’s damage type changes to force, and it gains the light and thrown properties, with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. 7
Flowers and vines temporarily grow around you; until your rage ends, the ground within 15 feet of you is difficult terrain for your enemies.
8
A bolt of light shoots from your chest. Another creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 1d6 radiant damage and be blinded until the start of your next turn. Until your rage ends, you can use this effect again on each of your turns as a bonus action.

Tanis attempts to prepare by stepping out and back away into the darkness, trying to get line of sight of enemies with his 90' darkvision while staying away from any light.
Petmailer catches a glimpse of figures moving in the darkness, ducking behind boulders or stalagmites for cover. You think you see maybe 4 or 5. It's hard to tell.
Vrah rushes out to the wounded drow and grabs a javelin and hurls it toward the shadowy figures. It clatters off a rock. A burst of light momentarily flashes out of you like a visible manifestation of your rage. It shoots in the direction you think the figures came from, but no one is close enough to be hit by it.
Tanis peers into the darkness and tracks the movement in the shadows. He detects the following:
Six orcs moving about the cavern, keeping a distance from the party. Five look to be standard fighters or raiders. They carry axes and javelins. The sixth is dressed differently, wearing robes with a large eye painted on their chest. That one carries a staff, but no other weapons.
A gruff voice shouts out in common "We have no quarrel with bugbears, only drow. They kill some of us, we kill some of them. You are in our shelter."
Sarith was distracted and surprised by this group. If you want to talk with them, that can proceed. If you are looking to attack or take actions, we need to roll initiative.
Tanis calls out to the party then moves further back into the darkness, invisible to darkvision, nocking an arrow to his longbow and aiming it at the robed leader with the eye painted on their chest.
"Six orcs. One of them a robed spell-caster with a large eye painted on their chest." (He then moves back so he is no longer where his voice came from).
Jimjar chimes in, speaking in common "Listen, we share your disdain for formal drow society. We've all recently escaped from being imprisoned by them, including that fellow there you just treated like a pin cushion. How about you show some good faith and let us get him and patch him up before he bleeds out?"
Vrah shakes his head and clear sit, having heard the words of his companions. He warily approaches Sarith and then carefully picks him up and carries him back to the cave entrance. Then turns around and uses his body to block the entrance.
Phodoxia silently fumes at Kisiki for his seemingly unwarranted accusations, but doesn't dare say anything. She remembers the murder of the derro all too well and Sarith's distrust seems very well placed to her.
When the javelins fly out of the darkness, she tries to slip into the darkness and hide, creeping out a good distance from Tanis to look with her 120' darkvision, to see what she can see of the attackers.

Whatever she is able to see, she'll stay riveted in her hiding place, watching as the orcs offer to let the group retrieve Sarith, and as Vrah does so. That bugbear is so brave.... I wonder how orcs feel about goblins. If they don't mind bugbears, they might not mind us. But Tanis is an elf, and orcs hate elves... maybe not as much as these hate drow, but... It seems wise to Phodoxia to stay hiding for now.
Vethna moves back to the cover of the cave as the drow is carried inside. She moves behind the large boulder, then calls out to the orcs... "Seems like we are in a bit of a stalemate here." She says. "You are out there, where you are likely to be attacked by the first monster that comes along, while we are in here, protected and with a good amount of cover, but unable to leave until you move along, or are killed by some other monster down here. You have attacked us, but also have allowed us to reclaim our fallen companion." she pauses a moment to let that all sink in. "How do you wish to move forward here?"
After a few moments, the orc leader calls out "Something's wrong down here. Something is... off in the tunnels. Drow attacked our clan. We were sent to retaliate. We fought. Killed many drow, but lost forces as well. We were attacked again as we were headed home. Got off course. We've been exploring this area trying to get back to tunnels we know." There's a pause, then "Where are you headed?"

From behind cover, Petmailer speaks up. "Something indeed is wrong down here. Something is wrong with the Drow as well, they are being led down dark paths, they are being confused and misguided. But something more is happening here as well. We do not have to be enemies; we do not have to fight. Perhaps you go your way, and we go ours?"
