Delphinium stops before applying the medicine as the dead Tourquise gives the message. They fairy touches the top of their head and says "I'm sorry Tourquise..." Then they open the box for whatever else was delivered.
"She was already dead Fireflight, don't feel bad, but Gavin, Hawk and Ward might not be, we need to find them." Struggling, Travin finally makes his new body stand up, hunched and clutching his chest, but standing nonetheless. He picks up the box and hesitates.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Delphinium just shakes their head and says "I know." The fairy doesn't seem to show any emotions at all. They set the box down and says "They won't get away with this." As travin goes to check the box Delphinium says "Don't look Travin." The fairy seems to fluctuate with blue and purple light as their aura shifts.
They don't turn to face anyone but instead looks up towards the door Turqoise came in and says "It seems that i was right. They never intended to hold their end of the deal. Broken even before the sun finished rising on the day the deal was made. Broken by him far too early. I am not the best with lying but i assume he lied about everything. Watch Ralik. They may be punished next pending what bindings he's placed on him. Now, if you'll excuse me. I'm going to contemplate how to win a bet and follow the path Turqoise came from."
Delphinium flies outside and zooms upwards. They go to the roof and stare at a certain building in the distance. Then after seeming to talk to the air they fly back down and begin to trace the blood dripped path Turqoise left in her wake. To find the sight of the attack which shouldn't be too far as not much time has passed. Survival check 27
Travin tips the box slightly this way and that, trying to guage what is inside, two round objects, about 20 pounds together. He looks to Delph and listens, taking not of his serious the fairy is, but then he is gone, tracking blood. Travin whimpers and sits down hugging the box to his chest. He hesitates once more before opening the lid a crack and peeking inside...
Stunned silence, a beat, Travin feels sick but has no stomach to reject this reality, the words of the storyteller ache in his ears, numbing his mind. "Your body, your brother" he says weakly as he closes the box again, holding it close and bursting into gutteral screams, crying and wailing.
As everyone begins to gather round for a look in the box, they see that it contains the heads of Gavin and Travin Tiller. Neatly severed, though Travin's head is severely desicated, while Gavin's shows signs of trauma similar to Turquoise's...
Dageron gives a long hard look, then turns to Adam. "We have no way to ressurrect him, do we? This move seems sloppy, and not at all in keeping with the calculating effort Strahd exhibited before. Perhaps we angered him."
Shavaris allows the investigation to continue, unsure what is actually happening and what the hell the man is talking about. But staring over at the pile of loot and the missing Ward, her concern continues to grow.
Turquoise arrives and she knows its bad. Nothing looks right, why does the woman look like that? Shavaris stands back as the rest unfolds in front of her. As Travin starts wailing, she goes to him, throws her arms around his new body and tries to hold the poor man that is now holding the head of his brother and Ward. Before Delph flies out of the room, she calls after him, "Don't leave us here. We cannot separate."tears start streaming down her face, "Look around the building, fine, but come back and we'll decide together what to do.
I am unsure if Strahd started this or Ward. Ward was the one that went searching for Severen..."
Delphinium isn't gone long at all. Far too determined to take action right now. Their speed making up for it as they return quickly after flying up high then following a trail of blood for a shoet time. They nod to Shavaris when they return and say
"I was careful. Turquise's trail of blood leads to his building. Foolish idiot. I didn't get too close staying in the sunlight. I could just destroy his big building if we want. Or bathe it in sunlight for the foreseeable future. I was thinking a big spotlight on it to make it stick out. Just what he said he didn't want. Shouldn't be too hard to do either of those. Any preference?"
Delph is looking around for Ralik. Careful not to say certain things with them in earshot. They tiny fairy wants to know where they are at all times.
The outdoor sounds continue, and the sirens continue to grow closer...until they stop in front of the Ghostbuster's headquarters.
There's a moment of confusion outside as people gossip and gawk audibly, enough for everyone inside to hear, and then the door opens. Two police officer's walk in, and immediately set eyes on the dead girl laying in the center of the room.
"Unit 23 to dispatch." One cop says into a radio. "Look's like that tip is accurate. Going to need the coroner and backup. Get homicide down here."
"Alright, everyone stay cool." The other cop says. "NYPD. We received an anonymous tip that the Ghostbusters had used a runaway as part of a ritual sacrifice. Based on what I"m seeing here, I need everyone on the floor. Nice and calm now, everyone get on your face."
There are more sirens growing closer fast.
"Whoa whoa whoa!" Venkman protests from the edge of the kitchen area. "That kid wandered in here like that!"
Dageron, having not had time to use the bangle again, standing in full regalia looking his normal Hobgoblin self, lifts an eyebrow. "Adam, as much as Jareth's precious concern for these mortal Humans and their fragile little realm is compelling... to some... perhaps we need to stop trying so hard to do things subtly. He's killed one of us, and we're not even here for him. In my time with your team, I believe your strengths do not lie in being subtle. Might I suggest we return to that strategy. If Strahd wished to avoid these Humans knowing about his kind, I say we disabuse him of his obfuscations forever more. As it stands, they lack all magic, and will not understand that the girl was already dead long before she walked in here. It will appear as if she died at our hands." He slips his helmet back on his head as he speaks, securing the visor low and raising his shield. "Your choice, I'm fine to surrender or withdraw if you wish, these Humans are not my enemy."
Adam sizes up the situation, suddenly, everything has changed and he sees Strahd’s hands behind it all. He nods to Dageron, simply saying “Damn right. Let’s blow this popsicle stand.” He turns and winks at Delph, then turns his head back to the ghostbusters saying, “You can stay here if you want, but I don’t recommend it. Come with us if you want to live…” He turns back to the two police officers and starts to walk forward, making a sound like he’s clearing his throat. “FUS” *cough*, *cough*. “FUS!” *cough*, *cough*, *hack* (and a big ball of phlegm comes up).
“FUS - RO - DAH!!” Blowing Unrelenting Force forward out of his mouth, 20 feet outwards. The two policemen are blown backwards with the force of Adam’s shout, louder than any bullhorn they brought. There is a distinct smell of garlic and onion on his breath, which doesn’t help any. ((They need to make a DC 15 Con save or they are blown back and up into the air 40 feet, taking 4points of bludgeoning damage from the shout and 14 points of damage from the fall. On a save, they take half bludgeoning damage and are pushed back 5 feet.))
Adam starts to run at this point, looking up at Delph saying, “Find us a way out of here, little buddy!” He turns to the ghostbusters and says “You have a vehicle that we can get out of here in? I think Strahd is going to kill or incarcerate you if we don’t!” Adam dashes to reach it, using a ki point to move further if needed. “Where’s the key thingies?”
Seeing the outrageous color and shape of the thing compared to all the others witnessed so far, Dageron shakes his head. "Definitely an end to subtlety..." He waits a pause to see what the Ghostbusters do before assuming to jump into a vehicle he cannot operate.
Delphinium smiles. Glorious entertainment was at hand. No more deals or subtlety and just raw adventure. The fairy is pleased. Still worried for their friend shavaris but its a lot more fun to make daring escapes and having great fights. This one promises to let Delphinium actually unleash their full power. The tiny fairy never having come close to using it all.
As Adam asked them to secure an escape route they nod in agrement and say "One getaway coming up! Ill go distract them and give you all a chance to get out. Then after that, give me 10 minutes and i can bring down Strahd's entire castle, oh! Also keeep an eye on Ralik."
With that the fairy salutes and then flies out at top speed to get a gander at what opposition remains outside. They shake their head in disbelief at just how badly this turned out. Determined to give a good scolding to Strahd as well as hunt them down for their idiocy and betrayal.
First though, is a distraction. Delph might not know how those car things work but he knows they need space so its time for them to show just how strong they can be. They are going to find a route for escape and make sure it stays clear. The fairy will be the distraction as they show this world just what a fairy can do!
Shavaris blanches as Delphinium talks about blowing up Strahd's tower, "You do remember that if Strahd dies, so does Ralik and I, right?"
While Travin sits there in a catatonic state, Shavaris reaches over, closes the box and removes it from his grasp. She is just setting it to the side as the police officers arrive. Looking to Turquoise, oh man, what did the girl say as she arrived? I am coming for you... Shavaris shivers.
Hearing the question for the getaway vehicle, she points towards the garage, "The vehicle is that way!" She looks to the ghostbusters, hoping her earlier introduction to them doesn't affect their need to get out of here NOW.
No matter, she sees that Delph is raring to go with a distraction, she stands up, hooks her arms under Travin's and starts dragging her friend towards the garage. "Ralik! Want to help me here?"
Travin let's the box be taken from him, but the moment it is placed on the floor he picks it back up, and clutches it tightly. He is silent now, his voice modulator having cut out due to the screaming, he stares off into space, unmoving, unblinking, letting himself be dragged toward the vehicle, unable to actively move himself.
"I am coming for you." Is all Turquoise says before she goes limp and ragdolls to the floor, dropping the box.

Sounds continue outside. The throng I'd people walking by. Sirens in the distance. Cars honking and the angry yells of taxi drivers...
