On your signal the Librarian sends Joe and a golem off to the west to do the distraction burn. Joe returns to confirm it went as planned, nothing descended the stairs to stop her nor did she get close enough to hear much above.
The rest of party is moved quickly to the east entrance (which is the only one they've ever used) and are ushered into the mud room.
If light is being provided everyone can see the webbing in the stairwell up to the switchback. If not, only those with dark vision see it.
Joe stands ready to start burning the webbing away.
"We have any other lights? Getting shot from the dark sucks, and Lurn and his shield can only light up so much. Is there a way to attach a torch to a shield? Or light up even more things? I can make Sword glow for a little while, but can only do it once. Jaq and Mikram can see in the dark, can you Cladmir? I can't remember from yesterday... besides, your eyes were kinda struggling to focus on the same thing at the same time, so it'd be hard to say."

((Well, I was thinking it would at least do enough to let everyone see where they're walking, but maybe it would just keep everyone close enough that it's not necessary. XD Really though, the rope itself would probably be pretty inconvenient.))

"Hmm, not sure we'd want to be tied together, but don't want to hold on to it either. Guess we could drop it if we need to fight and pick it back up again? The light kind of makes us an easy target too."

"I too am worried about being light up in the dark. We will be easily spotted while will not be able to see attackers at range. Don't you magic folks have a way to conjure something up that can lead a way with a light source?"
"The drow can see in the dark regardless, so even if the light is separated from us it will make us just as obvious."

"Drows may be able to see in the dark, but that means that it should be even easier to blind them. If we can light them up that would make it easier to spot them and prevent them from seeing us. I'm assuming a lot tho since I'm not a Drow expert, and whoever toss the rocks will briefly be a target as well. Anyways, during night battles we always move slow and quiet with the person who can best see in the dark leading so we hopefully spot the enemy before the spot us. Not saying it's going to work here, but it had worked for me and my company more often than not."
Since we don't really have a consensus - or anything else to light up - Lurn will keep his shield lit up like normal and be ready to charge.

((Yep, same fully explored floor. It is for reasons that probably aren't important at all... So, east or west?))

((Any plan of attack here or just rushing up?))
Kroshav has Sword and shield out and ready.

Mikram will ask for an explanation of the conversation and interject,
"Aye can see them just fine. If ye can light up a stone or something aye could toss it into them."
Cladmir agreed with the proposal.

((Roll a history or int check Cladmir on drow light sensitivity))
History: 16
Cladmir remembers drow struggle with daylight but isn't entirely sure about torchlight. They didn't use it after he was captured at least.
((So what's the plan? Dead is out for a bit, but the rest of you?))
Kroshav is ready to charge!

Cladmir will move up next to Kroshav with his crossbow at the ready! With the rest he now feels his hands much steadier.
