Having decided to recruit Miesha, Jasper replies "oh no, nothing I'd lose any sleep over my friend!" "If any evil does reside there, this is in fact the only way to find out!"
Deception/Persuasion (same modifier, depending on how you want to take his comment above as being deceitful): 13
"I'd say about ten minutes or so will do. Beyond that I wouldn't want to ruin your good standing in town if there's a scuffle."
At the end of the hour and with your whole team on board you begin your burglary. You're standing a fair distance from the house, hidden from the guards view. The owner of the house should be away for another few hours. Currently, the half-orc is dutifully keeping a lookout and the human is dozing with his head propped against the gate. How do you proceed?
"Let's give it as much as an hour to see if she moves away to practice her swordplay. Then Miesha can patrol past and offer some friendly sparring. If too much time passes we can improvise, such as someone joining Miesha on patrol and two of you engaging in some sparring or some other sort of distraction."
Reviewing the sharpness of his claws once again, Jasper adds "hmmm, having a team may prove useful after all." "We shall see!"
Jasper looks around to ensure that they are in the best possible hiding spot, and that they have a good route to both the front gate or the fence on the back side of the house if the distraction doesn't fully draw attention away from the gate. "Everyone else good to go over...or through...ah, or under the fence if need be?" He looks Kass up and down as he says this, still not quite sure what all of her strange gear might do.
After about 15 minutes of waiting and watching, you see the half-orc guard look down the street both ways, then back at the house, then wander into the garden around the house.
"We have time. I would rather go in and out of this job completely unnoticed if possible. Miesha, do you recognize that guard at all from the festivities last night? If so, think you could lure them out here?" Maggwyn stands by Jasper, getting a bit agitated by the whole thing, "and weren't there two guards before? Where do you think the other one is?"
(Male human guard dozing and female half Orc wandered to the garden?)
In preparation of going to this house to distract the guards, Miesha would remove her Bronze Armor and try to grab a different spear and shield so that she wouldn’t be easily recognized as the bronze warrior everyone had seen the previous night. Wearing just normal clothes any with just average weapons she hopes to portray herself as a bit of a local.
“I think perhaps the best distraction will be for me to go flirt with Sleepy over there and then when the Half-Orc returns then try to lure them both into giving me some training with the shield and spear?” Miesha suggests. “I’ll try to laugh loudly early on, hopefully draw the Half-Orc out soon, and then keep both their eyes on me to give you all a chance to go in the back?”
“That sounds good? I think I can keep their eyes on me that way for the ten minutes asked for… without having to actually hurt anyone.”
"Such a shame not to let the man sleep" says Jasper with a mischievous grin, but he adds"but we don't know who else would be watching the front entrance from inside."
With that Jasper gives Miesha an affirmative nod and leads the others to to the rear of the house, avoiding the gaze of the half-orc. He looks for an area of cover either along the rear fence or between the fence and the house in hopes of not having to both approach and cross the yard completely in the open.
OOC: Will roll stealth now to help move things along even though we may be a step or two away from that until Miesha gets her distraction on fully. Jasper has a climbing speed so I believe he should be able to scale the fence more easily than most.
Maggwyn gives a sort of grunt, "Works for me." she makes her way towards the back of the house, keeping her eye on the windows or any other penetration into the area. Hoping not to find more guards than are already present.

Once all seem committed to the plan Miesha double checks her hat, for her red mohawk was her most distinguishing feature with her armor off, and then boldly strolls straight towards the house with the guards. If the human is still sleeping, and the Half Orc still out of sight, Miesha will walk up close to the human and lean against the fence in her best eye catching pose and wait for him to awaken (or the Half Orc to reappear) with a look of curiosity and wonder upon her.
"Oh, hi!" Miesha will say brightly and energetically once she has the attention of either guard before giggling a little. "By the gods, I can't believe I'm doing this... But yes! Hi! How you doing?" She is trying to act much the fangirl but without laying it on too deep. (Performance 15 if needed.)
"This is weird, I know... Me just coming up and talking to you like this... It's weird, right? I mean obviously you've a job to do. Though why is beyond me. Errr, I just mean that this is such a quiet town... Besides last night and all that nonsense before the celebration, of course. I heard they were called Gnolls? Is that right? Oh my, I don't even know... Were you involved in that? I heard so many stories already but nobody seems to yet know for sure who all was involved. They say that a couple of those strangers got in on it but sure some of Aoswell's own were the main defenders, right? Where you there??"
If it is just the human guard Miesha plays up the flirtatiousness and flattery. If the Half Orc returns then Miesha will give them at least equal attention but it'll be more that of awe and being impressed.
((Don't want to go on too much without knowing if it's just one or both and such... So will continue on as things progress.))
Jasper and Maggwyn - You both make your way to side fence, which you could hop over and proceed to the house itself with the cover of bushes. No guards seem to be monitoring this side, but when you reached the house you would be in view of the two front guards (if the were paying attention).
Miesha - You approach the gate and see the dozing guard. He rouses slightly, audibly yawning. In response to that, the half-orc returns to the gate and sees you. In other circumstances, your performance's few flaws might have been noticed, but because these guards were shocked by anyone's presence at the house and by your barrage of questions they do not observe them. The half-orc does still seem reticent when answer your questions, but she does respond nonetheless. "Err... I'm doing fine I suppose. And ahh... yes, I was involved. I chased some of those gnolls out of town! It was very intense but I happen to be an incredibly skilled warrior. Now, I'm supposed to be on lookout here but if you'd like to stay here so that I might regale you with the stories of my heroic exploits, especially the ones of my defense of this town from those wretched gnolls." The human seems confused by her statements but is still only half-awake and not conscious enough to express his confusion.
Crannoc, going with Jasper, Maggwyn and presumably Kass after having called on Temuth'sGuidance for Miesha's efforts to distract.
When he thinks the guards aren't looking, he uses his father's divine soul magic to create the temporary, stationary illusion of natural-looking bushes, of he same species as the ones he sees on the grounds already, to provide additional cover for the group as they enter the house.
"Oh great! Oh, hi!! I'm Sansa, by the way, what are your names?" Miesha asks, still laying on the charm and enthusiasm. "It really is surprising we don't know each other already, isn't it?"
"Yes! Please, please, please! I would love to see your heroic moves and hear of your exploits!" Miesha exclaims to the Half-orc's offer. "I'll stand here and watch the house out of the corner of my eye, so as help out, while I mainly watch you. Ok? And maybe he can answer any questions I have about your moves and stuff? Maybe help show me how I should hold my weapon in order to do things like you are?" She gives the human a playful punch in the arm as she says this.
"Oh no, maybe move over that way a scootch?" Miesha calls out, waving the Half Orc over a bit to try to make sure they won't be looking in the direction Miesha's friends went. "With the sun and all, I'll have a better view of you there, yes?"
Maggwyn actually smiles as she sees Miesha laying it on thick and the guards completely lapping it up. Well, at least the awake one. Who would have thought little miss high and mighty would actually come through for them? Wonder what she'll think if she finds out what it was actually for. Well, for now.. focus on the prize.
She nods at Crannoc as he creates the illusion and going to the first available window, she checks to see if it is open. If not, she pulls out her thieves tools and sees if she can unlock it.

He’s hiding something, Miesha thinks as Jasper talks. Of course he is. Easiest way to find out just how bad what he’s up to is will be to join in…
“Alright,” Miesha says with obvious hesitancy in her voice. “I’ll do what I can to distract the guards. Just tell me when…”

"We have time. I would rather go in and out of this job completely unnoticed if possible. Miesha, do you recognize that guard at all from the festivities last night? The human guard is still at the gate, he is just sleeping with his head against the gate.
Crannoc readies himself to call for Temuth's Guidance on whoever goes first, stealth-wise.
Or on Miesha if she is going to persuade the other guard to spar, first.
Feeling a little like a wolf pup out on his first hunt.
