Lost Mine of Phandelver (Kolbitr DM)

With a sheepish grin, " I kind of misplaced my old kit, so you're a lifesaver." He paid her for the kit and left an extra five gold before heading back to the inn to see if the others were back there.

(I think that would be a good idea for a feat.)

Silas will forgo any gold that is offered to him. 

(How much gold have we acquired so far?) 

Lothar

The towering man listened to the information given by Harbin and took notice of his mannerisms dismissing the Redbrands.  After he left, Vandar also mentioned the gang.  "I agree.  There is something Harbin is not telling us, and I do not think he likes law and order in this town.  I think we should start there.  Maybe we can find out more from the merchants here?"

Afterwards, he considers the gold he collected the previous night as the reward for the return of the goods.  He hands 16g to Vandar and Tibern. Watching Silas refuse any money, he hands an additional 4 g to the pair.  "If Silas does not want payment, it's 20 g to each," he said.  He then held out his hand to Vandar, and said, "I think that is mine share from your collection, as well?"

"I think you are right, from what I have heard they frequent the area in which Iarno was last seen. Perhaps if you ask around amongst the townsfolk you can gain some more information, unfortunately I am as new to Phandalin as all of you." Sildar says in agreement with Vandar.

"I told you, nothing but a mercenary guild and nothing at all to bother about, I.." Harbin is interrupted by Sildar,

"Harbin, I believe there was a dispute about potters getting a share of the gold from their smashed pots or something you had to attend to." Sildar says as he lightly pushes Harbin away to go about his business elsewhere. Harbin attempts to complain about such treatment but Sildar gives him a particularly threatening look and Harbin shuffles off reluctantly. "I suspect Harbin is a greater coward than governor" Sildar says just quietly enough to be heard by everyone in the room, "You might start by asking around town, maybe someone has seen something, or knows something that may lead you to some answers, I wish you the best of luck. Now I must get back to helping this town in a different way, it is times like this that make me wish I were younger and still fit enough for the adventuring life, but we must all help where we can."

As Bron leaves the Lionshield Coster he sees Glen exit the townmasters hall.

Tibern will take th gold that has been offered to him, pocketing it for now as he goes over what he hears from Wilder in his head. It does not tskemhim long to decide that he does not like the cowardly Hardin. "We shall see what infofmation is available around town. It would be wise to proceed with caution as I do not imagine these so called "mercenaries" would enjoy our line of questioning." 

Lothar

Lothar listened to Tibern's advice, and agreed.  "I've already spoken to the lady in the Lionshield Coster across the street.  I think there is an inn near to Tresendar Manor where we might gain some information on these Redbrands and the disappearance of Iarno.  Any other suggestions?" he asked to the group.

With how erratic Glen acted in the golbin cave he decided to shadow him for a bit to see what he is up to if anything.

Stealth:  21

Glen will need to roll a perception check against Bron's 6 stealth to see if he notices he is being followed.

"For the time being just make sure that ypu do not ask any questions that can lead to any of us being a target. That and it is best to not go alone if it is at all possible. I would suggest that at least two of us go in the off chance a fight breaks out." Tibern suggests as he makes his way out of the townmaster's hall, not wanting to be near the cowardly man that ran it.

I have some shopping to do.  Maybe I'll meet you at the inn you mentioned?  Vandar says, before splitting off from the group.  He starts looking for the seedier parts of town, hoping to purchase some special equipment.

(He's looking for a place to buy thieves tools)

Perception check: 14

Silas will just go back to luck shrine and hang out, waiting for everybody to make their way back to the inn.

 Vandar:

Vandar can head to Barthen's provisions to buy thieves tools.

(many law abiding adventurers need to disarm traps and open locks and such while searching ancient dungeons and rescuing villagers and whatnot.)

Barthen has a set available for 25 gold.

Glen:

As Glen leaves the townmaster's hall he notices Bron exiting the Lionshield Coster. After walking a short way Glen notices Bron seems to be following him and attempting to go unnoticed.

 Silas:

Silas finds Sister Garaele dutifully tending the shrine. "Good morning my friend, come for the lady Tymora's blessing?"

That leaves Tibern and Lothar outside the Townmaster's hall.

Glen gives a quick glance before scowling, he needed to find a way to get bron off his back. Glen turns around In Bronson direction “you know your steath isn’t very good, what’s up, why you following me? 

Vander walks to Barthen's and purchases a set of thieves tools, then wanders back to the inn until ti's time to go to the Sleeping Giant.

After giving his plan to Lothar, Tibern to will head back to the inn for the time being as he wants to wait for the party to be mostly together before he does anything. He is curios about those that he had not seen since the night before.

Silas says " indeed, any blessing is a good blessing"
