Glen arrives outside the Sleepin Giant. The building is not old and yet it is in a state of disrepair that one would expect to see on building that has stood abandoned for some time. This building however is not abandoned, Glen sees 2 men exit the tavern as he approaches, they are both wearing a dirty crimson cloak and stumbling drunkenly, they take no notice of Glen as they head off to the East. As they stumble away Glen hears one say "Shtupid Terry, tell us to go watch secrit entrnse *hic* spose ta be my day off, *hiccup* whado I care if he's got imself a meetin wit shome new recri... recre.... a new person ta join us.*hic*"
Meanwhile:
Toblen says to Silas "I am sorry friend, but I'm just an Inn keeper, I have no dealings with the Redbrands nor do want to. I know you can always find a few of em over at the Sleeping Giant. Poor Grista, she just wanted to open a cozy little tavern, and she did, it was nice for awhile, then those Redbrands showed up and took over the place."
"Orcs are major problem but as we are at the moment do we have the strength to take on a bunch of orcs? One is not to much of a struggle but if they swarm down upon this town or us in a horde it is very likely that we would be overrun by the sheer number of them." Tibern says as he looks to the gnome and the bartender.
"You mean the orcs at Wyvern Tor?" Toblen asks, "They have never threatened the town directly, honestly it wouldn't make sense for them to attack the town if they destroy Phandalin then the merchant caravans and other travelers would stop coming around and that is what they are after. The Redbrands are the immediate threat to Phandalin, like I said I'm no warrior, but if you all could manage to capture the groups leader, well then I think I could rally the people of Phandalin to stand up to the rest of em. We could march on the Sleeping Giant all together and run the lot of em out of town! Harbin may be no help in maintaining law and order but Sildar is going to establish a presence for the Lords Alliance here, They will likely appoint a mayor and a Sheriff and the people of Phandalin will be able to sleep well at night. You might try asking around town, someone might be able to help you find where their hideout is, or perhaps you could capture one of them and interrogate them?"
Lothar immediately liked Toblen. He was a man of action and a plan. Standing up, Lothar says to the others. "Finish your meal, we have work to do at the Sleeping Giant." He then turns to Toblen "Thankya, sir. We'll help out Phandalin," and he leaves the inn. Outside, he waits for the others to join before heading over the nasty tavern.
Glen looks at the two leaving hearing of a secret entrance he’ll watch them for a second trying to get a general idea witch direction they are heading, after that glen steps into the tavern looking around. Glen knew that the rest of the party couldn’t be to far away from reaching a decision to come here so the fast he completed this meeting the better
Without much more to go on, Tibern will get up to follow after Lothar, making sure to leave coin for the meal he had eaten. His hand moved towards his weapons in case they ended up getting into a fight with these mercenaries.. Now all they needed to do is find where the other members of their party were at, as Bron and Glen had been gone since they had all first left the inn that morning.
Bron arrives at the Stonehill Inn just as the rest of the group is leaving. They meet in the road just outside.
I need a perception roll from Tibern, Vandar, Lothar, and Silas.
Glen:
Glen watches the two men stumble off they appear to be heading towards the woods to the south of the large ruin on the East side of town. He proceeds inside. The Sleeping Giants interior is in a similar state as its exterior, Glen sees six people In the room. There is a very nervous looking human woman behind the bar, clearly trying to look busy. There is a man who appears to have drunk himself to sleep in a booth near the door, another sitting at the bar near the rear exit at the north east corner of the building, creepily eyeing the woman behind the bar. Two men sit at a table by the West wall playing cards, and the man Glen had talked to the night before sits alone at a table in the center of the room.
"Ah, welcome my friend, please come have a seat"the man says, "I don't think I properly introduced myself the last time we spoke, my name is Terry."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Somthing I found out recently is that If you roll with your Proficiency it goes down to a 1. It happens all the time to me. Don’t know if it’s a glitch)
(perception check: 4)
Glen looks around at the different people, noting they don’t really seem that dangerous at all, glen looks at terry “mmh yes, well I know I’m early but my group my be coming here soon. So any private place we can meet would be good, also be prepared there a feisty lot”
Vandar notices a rat, which would normally be nothing strange except that this rat is wearing a small grimy scarlet cloak and as soon as it realizes that Vandar has spotted it and before anyone can react it scurries off and disappears between some nearby buildings.
"If you say so, but don't get yourself in any trouble, wizard." Bron will walk faster back to the inn to allow Glen to take care of his business alone
It is roughly 11am.

Silas looks terrified at the thought of the town being overrun by orcs.

Vandar quickly finishes his meal and follows Lothar out of the inn.

I need a perception check from Glen as well.

Vandar blinks and shakes his head as if trying to clear it. "Did anyone else....just see a rat in a cloak?"
Silas exclaims,"Yeah that rat was definitely wearing a red cloak."
The rat seemed to be following Bron, before it was spotted.
