Due to Silas's spell, the dwarf is unable to speak for the moment. Tibern detects no active magic other than the hold person spell active on the dwarf. You are currently in the middle of the open field surrounding the castle, on the northeastern corner. Most of the arrow slits looking out at your position are in rooms you have cleared, but there are a couple looking out from rooms you have not investigated. The dwarf will certainly break free of the paralyzation from the spell soon, he will still be bound but will be able to make noise.
"Let us move this farther away. He will be cursing us rather loudly when he is no longer effected by the spell." Tibern points out as he moves to grab the rope.
Lothar ran up to the others and tried to render help as much as he could. Should the dwarf start to make a bunch of noise and commosion, the mountain mad would put his large, burly hands over the mouth of Grunden muffling his voice as much as he could.
The dwarf begins to struggle just as you get him behind the treeline and out of sight of the castle. He says in an excited, but not overly loud, voice "Are ye all daft? Ya come in an rescue me fra' the 'eadhoncho o' the Cragmaws an now ye tie me up an cast spells on me as I try ta escape!"
"You are acting strangely. No dwarf I have known would have run away when it was possible that one of their own was in trouble." Tibern saysnas he cross3s his arms. "Especially if that person was their brother."
"I've no brothers in there! There only be goblins and worse in tha' place! Now let me go ya damned fools, afore they notice something is up an start investigatin'."
"Where's your brother then?" Vandar asks. "Besides, sprinting out isn't exactly the safest or best way to escape in the first place. More likely to simply get you caught again than anything else..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Silas will walk around the group putting a hand on each member of the party. Casting guidance on everybody(including himself)So for the next minute they can add a d4 to any check. He will then say "dwarf, I believe you. And we just want to make sure we have the correct information. But we need you tell us what's really going on here." Insight9 guidance 4
Tibern can't seem to figure out if he believes what 5he strange dwarf is saying or not.
The dwarfs looks at Vandar (Sha'kar?) and Silas and replies to their questions "I don't know where me brother is. Look, I got caught by these wee nasty goblins and brought here and kept me tied up in a closet til just a little while ago when the big one pulled me out, probably ta feed mr to that wolf o' his. Then you lads showed up and killed him. I'm just takin advantage of the opportunity ta escape before the rest o' the clan ta find out what you done and come looking for you. If yo was wise you would make yerselfs scarce as well. Now untie me!"
Silas gets a feeling that this story is not entirely correct, and suspects that it was not the goblins from which Gundren was fleeing.
Anyone who happens to glance back towards the castle sees a small group of goblins standing around the body of the bugbear. Some of them appear to be looting the corpse, one is scanning the treeline bow at the ready (he has not spotted you), and one goblin, dressed in a sort of robe with staff stands upon a piece of crumbled wall apparently addressing the group. A perception check may allow you to hear what he is saying as long as the listener understands goblin.
The dwarf can not see what is going on back by the castle.
(Guidance is a concentration spell, can't cast it multiple times, and only gives the bonus once, then the spell ends. You need Bless to do multiple people and last longer.)
Vanderlegion is correct. You can only keep the effect active on one person at a time. It is a cantrip and you are not in combat so we can assume Silas will cast it for each person as they need. Something to remember in the future when rolling a skill check, as long as Silas is near and not preoccupied he can help. I will have to dig around and see if that can stack with the advantage you gain from having someone assist.
You have a clear view of the goblins, they are all roughly within 15 ft of the corpse of the bugbear. The one watching the treeline seems to be on guard, the one in the robe appears to be preaching to the rest of the group.
Standing over the tied up dwarf, Lothar starts to get a bit angry. "Hey! You're the one that hired us to get that cart to safety. We were attacked by goblins on the road, and came all the way back here to save your dwarven butt. You can slow down and tell us what we need to hear. Not to mention, there is some payment that is owed to us, yes?"
"Now, what was it that you are so afraid of? That bugbear is dead thanks to us." Lothar tries to keep a quiet, but stern voice.

Silas will cast Zone of Truth on the dwarf. He must save a charisma 12

Charisma: 16
(Now that I 5hink about it I should have rolled that behind the scenes, oh well.)
Silas feels his spell fizzle as Tibern drags the dwarf back behind the tree line and into cover.
Wisdom save to break free of hold person spell: 17

Tibern will try to read the dwarf to see if he is telling the truth, still finding him strange.

Tibern will silently motion to the other to move out of the way, moving to duck behind a tree slightly so that he can watch the goblins carefully.
(Can I see how closely grouped together the goblins are?)
Ooc: My bad, didnt mean to break the game.
Silas would have then cast it on himself first. Then who ever starts to talk next, he would move to them and then cast again.
