Ben:
Basking in the glow of the grateful patrons, Ben smiles at Bob, then suddenly remembers, "Hey, weren't we looking for a lost boy? Or playing hide and seek? Perhaps he has been turned in at the lost and found--we should go back and check for him."
Ben starts making his way back to the lost-and-found location, keeping an eye out for the boy as he goes--who knows, he may still be playing hide-and-seek still!

Cadwallader:
Cad claps Horatio on the back and makes a broad gesture toward the colorful tents. "It's a carnival, and we should enjoy it. If your reflection is here, I'm sure it will turn up." He takes Horatio's sleeve and leads him a few paces from the Lost Items booth (and hopefully out of Dirla's hearing). He smiles broadly, but leans in close and whispers to Horatio, "I hear you. I think mostly this really is just a traveling fair of amusements, but it's also dangerous for a few. It won't be less dangerous if someone hears you threatening to burn it to the ground! That might get your head busted in a regular carnival. So, let's visit a few booths, enjoy some sugary food, have a good time, and keep our eyes open. Hopefully we'll learn what we need without having to sneak into a magically-guarded camp."
He steps back toward the booth. "Oh, Dirlagraun is it? As long as we're here, you don't happen to have any lost books in there do you? This one would have been from quite a long while ago, so it's probably been claimed or destroyed, but it's worth a look." (Perception 22 if necessary)
As Cad pulls Horatio aside and quietly speaks with him, Horatio's entire demeanor softens considerably. In a guarded whisper in reply, "I'm sorry, I've just waited so long for this day and I can't help but fear I'm going to fail. You're probably right about this place. They don't all seem bad, in fact, the cat-person seems sad and lonely. Maybe we can help her too?.. I'll try to keep a level head from here on out, I promise."
Alyeira and Matilda: Alyeira and Matilda take one last look around the Hall of Illusions. More carnival-goers enter the tent to gawk at their reflections in the mirrors. There's little else to take in here, apparently. The mirrors clearly have magical properties they cannot fully plumb, but the tent itself is quite bare. They exit into the crowd outside. The mannequin stares at them from the glass cabinet across from the colorless ticket-taker. The halfling couple is still flirting with each other nearby, now joined by a group of loud human teenagers waiting to enter the hall of mirrors. “Catch the faerie dragon by the tail and win a piece of its hoard! Prizes! Prizes! Prizes!” drones the old woman across the way. Alyeira and Matilda begin to make their way toward the Lost Property wagon.
Ben and Bob: Ben and Bob begin to extract themselves from the grateful crowd and make their way back to the wagon. Ben spots a kenku in the shadows glance around nervously before morphing into a young human girl, and then vanish into the crowd, an intense look upon her face.
Cad, Horatio, Edgardo, and Colin: Dirla invites Cad to explore the Lost Things in the back of its wagon, but the only books he finds are a badly-damaged cookbook and a sheaf of stained music.
The night is dark, the crowd has swelled. Two girls in face paint (a lion and a hart) squabble over a painted wooden crown that their mother won at a stall. Fortunately, the twinkling lights still allow you to read your maps. Where to next?
"There's still time, but I promise you'll want to be there for the big show. Til then, there are amazing things in every direction. One only needs to choose. Personally, I'm a fan of the Pixie Kingdom."
The back of the wagon provides Edgardo with a myriad of items. Rummaging through the odds and ends he finds no tail much to his disappointment. He does however take a liking to the dark glasses. What an odd thing to lose at a night carnival he muses as he tries them on. He turns to Dirla and asks "Excuse me. Am I able to...buy these?" He gives his best secret agent pose as he waits for an answer, chuckling to himself at the thought of how dapper he must look. "The name is Gardo. Ed Gardo." He nearly falls over in fits of laughter at his fantastic performance - his disappointment momentarily forgotten.
Cad is only mildly disappointed when he doesn't find his book, not having expected it after so long. He snorts at Edgardo. "That's a good look Edgardo. Very mysterious."
"The Pixie Kingdom? Sure, why not? I haven't gotten to use a single punch on my ticket yet. Might as well start there." He'll follow Colin toward the pixie kingdom. "You called yourself a prince earlier. Pardon my ignorance, but I wasn't aware mice had royalty?"
Colin looks dramatically into the distance. "I wasn't always a mouse. I was a man. A witch turned me into this, after being displeased by some imagined sleight. I've been searching for someone with the power to turn me back ever since."
The night draws in as Bob follows Ben back to the wagon. The little kenku was still confused about his inability to tie a simple knot. Fiddling with the rope between his feathered hands, he tries to tie a knot over and over again, to no avail. Unfortunately, he is far too distracted to pay much attention to the swelling crowds or any movement coming from the shadows.
"'least we was able to save th' dwarf," he sighs to Ben. "I wonder if the others fared much better."
Unless you have further business, Alyeira and Matilda make their way back to the Lost Property wagon. Likewise, Ben and Bob return as well (pending any final actions you request).
As they arrive, Dirla the tentacled cat is explaining the Lost Property policy to Edgardo. "We cannot dispose of any of the lost property until three days have passed. Those glasses were turned in just last night." Edgardo notes that the glasses are tinted so dark that they can’t be seen through at all.
Tabling, for the moment, Dirla's suggestion to spy on the carnival proprietors, the party prepares to head to Pixie Kingdom, at Colin's suggestion. Colin knows they have an hour before the Big Top Extravaganza begins.
Is everyone following, or do some of you have other plans?
"Dirlagraun," replies the cat soberly to Matilda. "No, no people go lost under my watch. I lost my own cub here many years ago. I won't let that happen to anyone else." The creature sighs heavily. "All I have left to remember Star by is their favorite toy." The creature paws the small, mirrored ball despondently. It still seems a little shaken by the recent incident of the runaway boy.
”I would like to think so,” replies Ben as the pair returns to the lost items wagon, “but let us hope no more carnival patrons needed saving from bodily injury.”
Coming upon the two girls fighting over their mother’s crown, Ben holds out three silver and says, “Which one of you will keep the crown from your mother, and which one will buy a ticket and win one for herself, I wonder?”
After handing the silver to the volunteer (if there is one), Ben will join the others and say, “The Pixie Kingdom sounds good to me. Did anyone find what they lost yet?”

"Not as of yet. Where did you two get off to? The boy got back okay and his mother reclaimed him." He leans closer to Ben and whispers, "Edgardo lost his tail, Horatio lost his reflection -- I'm feeling lucky to have only lost a book."
Squeezing the girl’s hand reassuringly, Alyeira steps towards Dirlagraun. “Matilda here lost her brother at the carnival some years ago. You wouldn't happen to know anything about a little boy fitting this description?”

...but they just look at him nervously, scowl, and bolt into the crowd.
Dirla replies to Alyeira's question, "I don't know anything about a lost little boy. Perhaps that was before I began working this job? That sounds tragic. I'm sorry. Is there anything I can do to help?"
The group, led by Colin, Cad, and Ben, begin to drift toward the Pixie Kingdom. (If any of you have any further business with Dirla or elsewhere, let me know!)
The group passes the Big Top (inside you can see an ogre dressed like a djinni directing a tiny firefly circus on stage – must be a warm-up act), a snack booth, the dragon-catching stall, and the Hall of Illusions. Rounding the corner, you see the entrance to the snail racing arena (the grandstands next to this racecourse are filled with cheering fairgoers ringing bells, swinging rattles, and waving flags), and, lastly, a booth labeled "Outstare the Cyclops!" (A man with a crooked nose calls out from within, “What do you do when the eye of the cyclops falls upon you? You stare right back if you’ve got the stamina!”)
Finally, you peer within the Pixie Kingdom. A copse of oak trees shelters a miniaturized fairground. At its heart, a hamster runs inside a tiny Ferris wheel, encircled by minuscule wagons and candy stalls. A pixie sits cross-legged in the hollow of a tree at the entrance to this realm.
He flutters up into the air and introduces himself. "Hello, friends! I'm Jeremy Plum! You've found the best attraction the carnival has to offer. Entry to the attraction costs 1 ticket punch!"

Ben:
Understanding that he can be imposing at times, especially to young girls, Ben lays the three coins on the ground and backs away, saying, “Do as you will, but sisters should get along with each other if they can.”
Turning around and leaving the coins behind, Ben moves to follow the others to the Pixie Kingdom.

Cad is intrigued by the cyclops staring contest. Can't be any harder than staring down Old Farley at a Guild meeting. He tells the others he'll catch up with them. "This could be a while." He offers his ticket for a punch and goes to face the cyclops.
Colin pleads a bit with Jeremy. "Fairy Jerry, you sure you don't have room for me in this one? You know I always talk your place up above the rest of the place."

Matilda holds up a hand, her other suddenly a death-grip once more on Alyeiras, " Uh....sorry. Ms Cat-Person."
" When you say dispose of......"
" Would that apply to lost people as well."
