Pud dashes northeast, making it to the edge of the sluggish stream.
Rizzo drops his distraction bomb in the bushes west of the scarecrows. (Pud: Make a Deception check!)
Tiny, invisible, dashes north through the thick bushes and exits the thicket about thirty feet from Pud. (Titaani: What is Tiny's Movement speed, anyway?)
The soldiers continue to race to the west, toward Rizzo's sound.
Will stumbles out of the woods near Pud. "Should we swim the rest of the way?" he asks, gasping with exertion.
Group 2: The mucky waters flow west/left to east/right, toward the massive log, albeit very sluggishly. It is chest-deep (to a medium-sized adult humanoid) in the middle; the water is cloudy, the bottom mucky. Insects skim across the surface and lilypads cluster along the edges.
Will shrugs and walks into the stream. He lowers himself all the way in and begins to paddle with the current toward the log. The stream actually flows under the log, although there is a narrow gap of air above the water's surface, so it looks like you may be able to swim directly under it safely to the other side.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Matilda deals one nasty slash to the redcap before diving back into the thick shrubbery.
The redcap, enraged, slashes blindly with his razor-sharp sickle where he saw her vanish (even as he looks for her. DC 17 contested Perception check:18)
In a lucky hit, the injured redcap manages to deliver Matilda a painful cut with its sickle, even as it still is unable to find her in the bushes.
The second redcap slips and falls. It crawls out of the oil slick, stands back up, and tries again to jump high enough to slash the mocking oil can, unsuccessfully.
Squirt continues to laugh and hover out of reach, buzzing over the first redcap menacing Matilda, to distract it. (Action: Help Matilda attack it.)
Matilda and Titaani may act! (Titaani is within dashing range of the kitchen door, but won't be able to open it this turn.)
Will and Pud begin to swim downstream. Tiny invisibly follows along the river bed, not quite prepared to jump in. Tiny gets a bit ahead of the group as Will and Pud navigate around a lazy elbow of the river.
Group 1:
Fully sprinting (if still invisible), Titaani finally reaches the kitchen door. (She may use that nat 20 to open it next turn if she chooses.)
Matilda, hiding behind a bush, may act again (with advantage, if she doesn't already have it, from Squirt's antics.)
Matilda manages to stab the horrid toadstool man right in the throat. It collapses into the dirt, dead. (Does Matilda want to use the second roll as a ranged attack on the remaining redcap?)
( Yep. 4 knives, 1 big knife, 2 cleavers.)
For Titaani's turn, she is going to take a dash action to get as close to the door as possible.

Group 1:
Titaani, invisible, continues to race toward the kitchen door. She gets within about 40 or 50 feet of it.
Matilda, hiding in the bushes, faces an angry redcap, which has gotten uncomfortably close to her, even as he fails to spot her in the shrubbery yet.
The other redcap struggles in the slippery oil near his slain comrade, while Squirt laughs at him, levitating overhead.
Matilda may act next!

“Shhhhh…hold on a bit longer. Let them get a little further away. ”
DM: How deep is the water? And is it flowing towards Loomlurch?
IF… the water isn’t treacherous and it’s flowing towards the tree house, Pud will direct Will hope in the creek and wade towards the tree house.
