Horatio examines his hand. It looks and feels normal. It was a unique sensation, and yet there is something about it that felt comforting and normal.
Squirt distorts itself into a thinner metal tube and struggles to squeeze through the front door of the dollhouse. It succeeds with a harsh pop. "Oh!" it remarks from within. "I see a lovely armchair! Its backrest is shaped like butterfly wings! And here's a rocking chair with little goblin faces etched in it. Oh! Coffee table! Kitchenette! So cute."
"Horatio, what was taken from you at the Witchlight carnival? Maybe if it was something intangible in the mortal realm, it manifests as this silverly liquid in the fey realm? I know it's a stretch, but maybe this is really a good thing," says Ben hopefully.
"Squirt, try the items in the attack," coaches Ben as the oilcan rummages around randomly in the dollhouse.

"Attic, attic," you hear Squirt repeat over the sounds of toppling furniture as it squeezes upward and unseen through the dollhouse.
"Oh, a nice bed! A four-poster, with silk drapes! And a canopy! Has little sparkling crystals on it. I want one!" (More sounds of toppling, cracking wood, and a squeak of something opening.) "...Attic. Here we go. Velvet slippers, an ugly book, some kind of tool... Ugh! An eyeball! Heavy, gold. ...A cracked hand mirror. Some kind of weird shriveled skin in amber. Yuck! ...An apple. A shrunken head. Gross! A petrified spider. "
”You’re the best, Squirt! Pass them out the closest window and we’ll get them out of your way. Once the dollhouse is uncluttered, maybe you could live in it if you like it,” encourages Ben.

While squirt fishes out all sorts of odd knick knacks, Pud digs out his magical multi tool aims it at Ben. He squints his eyes and scrunches his nose with intense focus and casts healing word on Ben for 8 hp.
”Hey, Ben! I hope that helped a little. I know it’s not much. Healing magics aren’t really my thing.”
Squirt’s mentioning of the tool catches Pud’s attention. “Hey, Squirt! Pass me that tool, would ya? I’d like to take a look at it.” Pud will investigate the tool found in the doll house.
Investigation check: 20

Ben nods in thanks as his burns mostly heal up. He looks at the items as Squirt hands them out, but he has no special identification method to determine their arcane usefulness, so he passes them on to those more knowledgeable.

Titaani pauses for a moment before giving Horatio a hug. "I really do hope what happened to you was a good thing. I missed you, by the way, and I'm really glad you're ok."
Then, shooting Horatio a beaming smile, Titaani collects the items from Ben. She gives the mirror to Horatio, the others she looks over herself.

"Don't fit!" shouts Squirt. "Mirror don't fit. Maybe I can get the spider out. Or the eye? I'll try..."
You hear a lot of clattering and commotion as Squirt tries to squeeze back out of the house. Eventually, the oilcan emerges from the front door and restores itself to its normal shape. It produces a crushed petrified spider (in two pieces) and a golden eyeball. No mirror.
"I ain't living in there unless I lose some weight!"
Peering in the attic window, Titaani sees nothing obviously arcane. The little book looks a bit like a spellbook. The tool and the amber might have some arcane properties. But there don't seem to be any obviously strongly magical items here. The mirror looks pretty ordinary (and broken.) Holding the spider bits and the eyeball in her hand, she concludes that the spider is worthless trash, but that the eyeball might be worth something, as it appears to be sold gold.
Pud gets his turn investigating the odd collection of items in the attic through the windows. The tool is evidently too big to be removed by Horatio's tongs or Squirt's antics. But he immediately recognizes the tool as being very similar to the one he already owns. In fact, it might even be of higher quality.
Meanwhile, Horatio sees something unusual in the yellowed lacquer on the side of the moldy dollhouse. An odd, dark, distorted form peering quizzically back at him. A form he hasn't seen in years. His reflection! It's not entirely comforting, however, to see his distorted replica looking back at him. It may take time to get used to.
Leaping up, Horatio looks at the glass pane on the nearest window. Not looking through, but at the window, Horatio replies to Ben, "Y-yeah... You were right.. I guess. That's me, huh? My reflection?"
Pud does his best to investigate the items from afar. He thinks to himself "That gold eye is kinda...weird and really creepy. That tool though, I really wanna get a better look. Almost looks like...looks kinda like my muli-tool. But, a little nicer? Huh...I wonder how we can..."
His musings about the odds and ends is interrupted by the conversation he hears unfolding behind him. He turns and looks at the guys in disbelief. He cracks a smile, leans heavily on his walking stick and hobbles over to Horatio and says "You...you actually found it? You found what you lost?.." His eyes begin to well up and he's nearly overcome with emotion. He swallows it down before continuing. "Time here is weird...I don't really know how long I've been here. But I ain't never known anyone who actually found it again. Wow."
Pud shuffles over a step or two and pats Horatio on the shoulder. "I'm happy for you, buddy."
"Well, that's all the doll house exploring I'm doing today," announces Squirt, working out the last of its dents. "Are you ready to party in Yon? I gotta enough oil in me to get us there! Rocky peaks, thunderclouds, howling winds, narrow ledges, skittish goats, mountain slopes... Yon has it all!" Squirt pauses. "...Or do you want to trash Granny's bedroom, first?"
”Thanks, Squirt, for exploring in there. You didn’t see a latch inside to open roof of the dollhouse, did you? It might be really useful for us to get those other items, but it might take magic to open up the attic enough to do so,” replies Ben.
”I say we explore the rest of this place as best we can, then decide which of Horatio’s suggestions to take on what to do with it. Then I could use a real rest—it feels like I have been on the go for days!” adds Ben.
”As for where to go after we rest, that is certainly worth discussing. I would like to find what we each have lost and help the rescued children return home. I feel that my lost possession is back with Bavlorna…” he muses.

A momentary confusion crosses Horatio's face as Titaani asks her question, then realization hits. "Leave you? Over a reflection? No. Not gonna happen. I've been bullied plenty in my life, and have already lost everyone and everything before. I learned to fight back..." He holds up his meaty calloused fists. "And I aim to finish this. I'm not going anywhere." If she lets him, Horatio would give her a hug, tears in his eyes.
"No latches, sorry," replies Squirt. "Nice decor, though. Where we going next?"
Will tarries in the study next door. "You guys like books? I can't read," he calls out from the other room. He holds up a heavy tome which has a withered frog’s body stitched into its spine. Then he holds up a wanted poster with a sketch on it. "I think this is me, though!"
"Umm... something grey and fluidy came out of the dollhouse and went... into my hand!" He holds out his hand with a fretful expression.
