Akame speaks up for the first time after witnessing all the fireworks. "You guys have a plan for dealing with a hag coven who will definitely strike at us from the Ethereal Plane when we are most vulnerable? Asleep or in a battle with someone else?"
“You are right, of course. Probably not a wise move. But I hate these things with a passion. We’re going to have to be careful for a bit. “. Tetrevess replies.
"Maybe we should keep a double watch for a while when we rest so as not to be taken unawares by them?"
Chadderlay runs past the floating hands and out of the tower of Conjuration, joining the others outside.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
(ooc: not a fan of this myself but it is a byproduct of PbP and since I couldn't counter the other thing Chadderlay will Counterspell the Cloudkill instead.)
As you exit the tower, all seems quiet, but you might notice some ravens flying about the city, none together, only one close to your current location.

Chadderlay will cast Fireball at 5th level from his staff:
DC 17 DEX save or take 33 fire damage, half damage for a successful save.

The cleric and the Paladin fail to identify the cultists, (but the scribes wizard can fill them in.) <just so you don't have to wait on the player to have the info, here us the not especially spoiler-y reference, lore should he in there cult fanatic (knights of the black sword) >
With two quick slashes, Angus dispatches the first cultist, but, being the zealots they are, the remaining pair are unphased.
At this, you become aware of movement overhead. The bas reliefs that adorn the buildings around you stir, and a quartet of gargoyles leap from their hiding places to rain down an assault of stone claws and fangs on the adventurers.

Results: cloudkill was not counterspelled. Cultist B dies (does not cast hold person). Cultist A suffers grievous wounds. All gargoyles miss except the one that bites Morwena.

Tetrevess follows the group and moves quickly past the hands.
Cloudkill is above 3rd level, so roll to counter.
As you exit the tower, all seems quiet, but you might notice some ravens flying about the city, none together, only one close to your current location.
Emerging from behind the building to the east come 3 cult fanatics, scouting the city streets.
They attack on sight. Target initiative is 14. Post actions at the same time (separate post) as initiative to save time if you roll 14 ot above.
<anybody have anything like [feat]keen mind[/feat] ? If so, speak up or I'll assume it's "no".>

So, let's see if either cultist survives (on a 16 or below, they die and don't attack Angus):

Results: cloudkill was not counterspelled. Cultist B dies (does not cast hold person). Cultist A suffers grievous wounds. All gargoyles miss except the one that bites Morwena.
