As anticipated in the combat post, Khessa was particularly struck by the story of the young lady with glowing red tattoos across her entire body. The blonde arcane warrior fears that she is an innocent victim of some arcane phenomenon and tries to gather as much information as possible on where she went and who saw her, because she intends, as soon as possible, to seek and help her.
Over the course of the week, the tall warrior-mage also tries to interact with some of her fellow adventurers:
T'bitha
Khessa tries to return to the conversation she had begun with T'bitha regarding Eilistraee: on what the relationship between Eilistraee and Lolth is and also (even more important) on how T'bitha came to venerate the goddess (what the goddess has done for her, to deserve her devotion).
But if T'bitha still proves not ready to talk about it, she doesn't insist.
Hadi
With Hadi she begins to try to study magic together, since he is what Khessa sees as a 'true wizard'... while she thinks of herself more as a self-taught apprentice who still has a lot to learn.
Whether Hadi agrees or not, the blonde arcane warrior, noticing the elf flirting, one evening, when he doesn't seem to have anything better to do, tries to flirt with him in turn; but making it clear at first that she, of course, is looking for just that - a flirt - nothing more serious. As an adventurer, she certainly could not have a normal family, with husband and children waiting for her at home while she quests around the world trying to free her captive family from the drow! Simply, since she began her career as an adventurer, she has had faaaar more opportunities to deal with violence than with her pleasure, so for one night she might like to try to 'rebalance things'.
But if the elf doesn't feel like it, the tall adventurer doesn't insist.
(OOC: Not looking to roleplay this last thing in more detail than that; telling that Hadi agrees or that he doesn't is enough - but this is a thing that Khessa, as young woman of age 20 living a life of violence not chosen by her, would undoubtedly try to do)
”There is no love between Lloth and Eilistraee. Lloth is a cruel, selfish and manipulative Goddess who has only one purpose, to use Drow society to cause chaos and achieve her end goals, whatever those may be. She has no mercy for anyone, even the priestesses that worship her. Lloth is completely all about herself. I happened upon Eilistraee by accident, I heard stories about her only. Mostly because she is so hated by Drow for being a traitor; however, it was Eilistraee that saved me from Drow society and Lloth. She helped me escape a death sentence. I fled from the Underdark and I was fortunate that Ozemon found me and took me in to seek refuge. I’ve been living at his estate ever since I fled.
To Tristan:
”That is intriguingly terrifying, Tristan. Your blood is the source of your magic? How did you come about find that out about yourself?”
With Hadi she begins to try to study magic together, since he is what Khessa sees as a 'true wizard'... while she thinks of herself more as a self-taught apprentice who still has a lot to learn.

Sounds fun. For now Hadi is happy to show her some arcane, as well as play back. But far from ready to be tied down, Hadi, too, is happy to keep things just playful, and maybe even use Khessa as a wing woman for himself when in the taverns. Out on the road though he'll play it up a bit more
((Also, this can be fun for when we have more proper RP later))

Week 1 Roleplaying
T'bitha
You read this somewhere in Ozemon's library, but you can't recall which book it was; devilish or demonic tattoos can appear on the body of someone when a devil or demon is released from the hells or abyss respectively, ultimately allowing them to walk on the Prime Plane once again. Rumors say the person with the tattoos is somehow related to the devil/demon, but there is no proof of that.
Khessa
You attempt to get as much information as you can out of the citizens of Wakefield. The gist of what you get is they chased her out of the north road, and if you drag her back, they'll pay you. They seem to believe someone waking with tattoos like this is foreshadowing if the impending doom that surrounds their town. She needs to be sacrificed so the town is not cursed.
Khessa and Hadi
Yeah, any romantic stuff anyone wishes to do is fine, but if anything comes to a sexual nature we'll simply cut to black / close the curtains. I'm totally fine with it happening, but this definitely isn't the place to detail out anything. It's just easier for everyone, including any forum mods.
Week 2 Combat - Round 1
T'bitha provides an additional 5 hit points to Dimitri, Hadi, and Khessa (OOC: these aren't temporary hit points your actual maximum increases by 5 hit points for the next 8 hours)
Tristan moves to intercept the Freakishly Large Centipede sheathing his cavalry saber with booming energy as he strikes dealing 18 points of damage, with the potential of 2more points of damage
Hadi activates his ancient tradition of bladesinging, then pulls his whip out, sheathing it in green flames, but the Alligator Eating Centipede moves just enough that your whip misses.
The Slightly Smaller Centipede attempts to make its way to all of you, but is stopped in its place, and instead attempts to bite the creature holding onto it Attack: 9 Damage: 6
You all notice now, the man that was once unmoving, has grabbed a hold on the Slightly Smaller Centipede, though his hand appears to be a massive claw.
Injured Man: 8
21 Alligator Eating Centipede (11/??) 19Khessa (37/37) (+5 MAX HP from aid 8 hours) 18Freakishly Large Centipede (18/??) 16Hadi (13/28) (+5 MAX HP from aid 8 hours) (Bladesong 1/10) 14T'bitha (24/24) 12Tristan (27/31) 9Slightly Smaller Centipede (0/??) 7Dimitri (32/32) (+5 MAX HP from aid 8 hours)
Dimitri you're up!
(OOC: Everyone can continue to RP week 1 at will.)
While they were in Wakefield, he inquired more about the winged devil and the tattooed girl. Mainly where the devil was first sighted, where had it gone, and who had started/led the banishment of the girl. He suspected the man behind it was someone powerful, a dark priest or a corrupted mage practicing forbidden arts. If he was able to gather information on the person that was the main leader of the insurgence, he'll go and scout their place. If there was no one in particular, when they were staying in town Dimitri snuck into the town church (is there a church in town?) at night and look around, trying to glean more information on the appearance of the devil.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dimitri slid his shortsword out of the sheath, weaving energy, he drove the blade in the side of the smaller centipede. He told the man, "get out of here, you're hurt", then slid away himself.
Dimitri you join Khessa on attempting to learn more on the girl and you learn the following information asking about town: The gist of what you get is they chased her out of the north road, and if you drag her back, they'll pay you. They seem to believe someone waking with tattoos like this is foreshadowing of the impending doom that surrounds their town. She needs to be sacrificed, or at least cleansed so the town is not cursed. While attempting to find more about the devil, little can be shared. It was seen flying north from the south far above the town. With your investigation check you did manage to find one of the head priests from the church of Chauntea here in town, who claims the devil wore something shining on its head, but other than that, it was too far away to get a good view. You're also lead to believe it is the church of Chauntea who lead to the banishment of the lady when they found out about her condition. If you choose to break into the church under the cover of night, you find a handful of Idols of Chauntea, you found a couple prayer books to Chauntea as well, some with expensive looking gold leaf edges, but you don't find anything supporting the claims of the tattoos leading to a curse of the town in the church.
Week 2 Combat - Round 2
Dimitri covers his shortsword in booming energy and strikes true against the Slightly Smaller Centipede, that the Injured Man is holding onto, dealing 14points of damage.
The Alligator Eating Centipede (OOC: which should be Crocodile Eating Centipede I realize this, but we're too far committed to change it now) attacks you twice, Khessa. With the first attack, you watch as it opens its mouth and stinging tentacles come out attempting to lash at you. Attack: 9Damage: 4. If this hits, I need a DC 13 CON saving throw from you, please! The second attack, is a bite with its mandibles. Attack: 13 Damage: 7
With that, Khessa you're up!
21 Alligator Eating Centipede (11/??) (Should be Crocodile Eating Centipede -> YES I know) 19Khessa (37/37) (+5 MAX HP from aid 8 hours) 18Freakishly Large Centipede (18/??) 16Hadi (13/28) (+5 MAX HP from aid 8 hours) (Bladesong 1/10) 14T'bitha (24/24) 12Tristan (27/31) 9Slightly Smaller Centipede (14/??) 9 Injured Man (30/??) 7Dimitri (32/32) (+5 MAX HP from aid 8 hours)
Khessa sees the centipede in front of her opens its mouth and her warrior instincts lead her to bend down quickly. Stinging tentacles pass over her head, confirming that she did the right thing.
"Be careful!" she warns the others "They do not only bite, they also attack with tentacles coming out of the mouth!"
'Or at least they try' she thinks, satisfied, while she remains focused on the monster and on the general situation. So the blonde arcane warrior is not surprised by the centipede lowering its head to bite her! She dodges with a side step, realizing in the meantime that the centipede that Hadi was fighting against seems distracted (or at least focused on the elf instead of her).
'If I can finish it off, we will have one less vermins attacking us! And it is also close to the one who is so interested in me, by the way, so...'
...So she removes for a moment her left hand from the hilt of the greatsword and gestures briefly, then grabs the two-handed weapon again with determination and drops a green flame boosted shot on the Freakishly Large Centipede.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Green-Flame Blade Attack: 14 Damage: 9 on Freakishly Large Centipede + (if hits) 3 green fire that leaps from the target to Alligator Eating Centipede Should be Crocodile Eating Centipede YES you know
Khessa successfully covers her greatsword with green flames and strikes the Freakishly Large Centipede, allowing the flame to dance to the Alligator Eating Centipede.
The Freakishly Large Centipede looks a little bloody now. Even though it just took a hard hit from Khessa, Tristan managed to hit it harder, so it lashes out with its bite Attack: 6 Damage: 7. It then opens its mandibles, attempting to lash out at Tristan with its tentacles Attack: 26 Damage: 3 I need a DC 13 CON saving throw from you, please!
If you fail the save Tristan, you are poisoned and paralyzed. You can repeat the CON save at the end of your turn.
With that Hadi, T'bitha, and Tristan are up!
21 Alligator Eating Centipede (14/??) (Should be Crocodile Eating Centipede -> YES I know) 19Khessa (37/37) (+5 MAX HP from aid 8 hours) 18Freakishly Large Centipede (27/??) 16Hadi (13/28) (+5 MAX HP from aid 8 hours) (Bladesong 1/10) 14T'bitha (24/24) 12Tristan (24/31) 9Slightly Smaller Centipede (14/??) 9 Injured Man (30/??) 7Dimitri (32/32) (+5 MAX HP from aid 8 hours)
With a well practiced flourish Hadi coils up his whip hanging it from his belt. As he does his stance changes into more of a practiced fencing stance as a barely visible rapier appears in his hand. He continues whistling as he attempts to swing his new shadowy blade, as it's tip glows green, towards the smallest of the monsters.
Attack: 18 Damage: 6 +4 to the monster next to it I always get confused with spells, but I think this works right? leveled spell as BA, and then a cantrip as the main action?
Khessa is pleasantly surprised that Dimitri is also interested in the tattooed girl: "Dimitri, then you too believe that this poor girl is an innocent victim?" the arcane warrior's blue eyes sparkle with pride in the fellow adventurer's noble sentiments.
"Sacrifice her, of course..." the tall warrior-mage shakes her head "I think it would be way more beneficial to the community to sacrifice who has had this bright idea!"
"We have to find her and help her!" Khessa looks genuinely worried "Alone, with this magical phenomenon that suddenly struck her, chased away by the same people who lived with her the until the day before... people that now would be ready to kill her! Who knows what she'll be going through... You are really good hearted, deep inside, you know?" she was about to pat the masked man on the shoulder but she stops, remembering her friend's aversion to physical contact."Is it because you've been through a lot too? The mask, the cane, the fear of contact... You didn't have an easy life either, did you? If you like to tell me about it, I'd gladly listen to you".
"If you like" Khessa again points out, with a reassuring smile. "If you'd rather not, no problem for me of course".
Khessa is pleasantly surprised that Dimitri is also interested in the tattooed girl: "Dimitri, then you too believe that this poor girl is an innocent victim?" the arcane warrior's blue eyes sparkle with pride in the fellow adventurer's noble sentiments.
"I believe she's got a good price on her head." Dimitri said darkly, lifting the stein to his lips and downed a gulp. He turned and saw Khessa's hand hanging awkwardly in the air above his shoulder, the corner of his mouth twitched. "There's nothing to talk about." He said, didn't want to delve into his past. Exposing himself for some sympathy always felt to vulnerable to him, and he hated being vulnerable. "I'm sure you can take a guess."
He paused for a second, when no one was listening to them at their table, and put his drink down. Leaning forward, he kept his voice down. "I think there's something fishy, but I can't put my finger on it. Someone wants the girl gone because they want something from it, and it's worth more than 100 gold to them. I'm going to scout around tonight, see what I can find."

Week 1 Roleplaying
"I'm not interested in guessing, Dimitri" Khessa doesn't lose her smile. "I just wanted to tell you that you seem like a person who has had a difficult life but that, from now on, should you be in need of something... maybe of help, maybe simply of someone to talk with... I'll be there, okay?" she winks at him "And if you find out something that can be done for that poor girl, I will be very glad - to the point that if a reward came out I would leave you my share. I don't like those who try to frame innocent people".
“I just can’t stand the though of a damsel in distress.” Hadi says with a grin. “There are so many things she should know of the world first.”
"I'm so glad you're a noble heart too, Hadi..." Khessa grins back "Just be aware that, if you intend to continue being a skilled teacher," she winks at him "you'll also have to keep training on a somewhat regular basis".
It doesn't appear there is anything for me to reply to. If I'm wrong please correct me!
Week 2 Combat - Round 2
Hadi you strike at the Alligator Eating Centipede dealing 12 points of damage and 4 points of damage to the Freakishly Large Centipede thanks to green-flame blade
You issue the command haltT'bitha, but unfortunately the Alligator Eating Centipede does not understand common, so it ignores the command.

"I..."He frowns "I am not sure. When I fight, things...happen. Everything I recall afterwards is fractured. I cannot recall the proper sequence of events, it feels like every strike I make happens at once. I don't feel pain until after the fight ends either. Whatever changed me into this broke me somehow."
(OOC: Sorry about the delay guys, the final boxes have gone. Currently sitting in an empty house :')

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
T’bitha watches the centipede ignore her command. She rolls her eyes and looks to the sky as she drops her arms to her sides defeatedly completely forgetting that it only works on creatures that understand what she’s saying. ”I can’t believe I wasted mana on that…” she mutters to herself.

You are really good hearted, deep inside, you know?" she was about to pat the masked man on the shoulder but she stops, remembering her friend's aversion to physical contact. "Is it because you've been through a lot too? The mask, the cane, the fear of contact... You didn't have an easy life either, did you? If you like to tell me about it, I'd gladly listen to you".
"If you like" Khessa again points out, with a reassuring smile. "If you'd rather not, no problem for me of course".

Week 1 - Roleplaying
"I..." He frowns "I am not sure.

Week 2- Combat
T’bitha watches the centipede ignore her command. She rolls her eyes and looks to the sky as she drops her arms to her sides defeatedly completely forgetting that it only works on creatures that understand what she’s saying. ”I can’t believe I wasted mana on that…” she mutters to herself.
