Spyro does a little loop flying around the giant ice spider as the two continue talking, or at least for the moment mostly spyro word vomitting the past few decades of his experience covering the disappearance of Mireah after Tialha's death and then being caught and imprisoned by Rynwell who underwent some kind of infernal corruption. To then being saved by Gewyn and finding Mireah and being reborn...
"...Spyro hush!" Urchin hisses, silencing the excited faerie dragon with ease. "There seems to have been many changes to the faewyld since I left, but that is behind me now, it seems more change is on the horizon." Eight eyes from the spider square on Gewyn, then flicker around the rest of the group. "Before I go to confirm the demise of another of my masters, why don't you tell me what you were all going in there? What purpose you came for. Did you kill him?"
Hector shifts uncomfortably and then excuses himself to go and tend to the smeagles.
Elthana watches Hector leave and feels a bad for the man, she understands where he was coming from - the dijiin was dead when they arrived, it wasn't like they could do anything about it and they were being attacked. At least they survived that... cause they had such a bigger fight on the approaching horizon.
She decides to step up next to Gewyn and assist him in answering this incredible creature. "We came to this Isle to recruit your master, we have succeeded in gathering the other dijiin's to our cause in defeating the one that has doomed this world, besting Vox and Lumithor. Daudi has seen the truth and when she relayed that information to your master... well... we believe that information drove him mad and eventually killed him.. resulting in this Isle falling to ruin. I am sorry to deliver this news and for your master."
Hearing Elthana interject, Vin decides it would be ok for him to speak as well.
"We were forced to defend ourselves at the top of the tower, no more than that. All that was left of Gojiin was some lingering rage, from all we could tell. Were you aware of the fate of Vox Tontritor and Lumithor? As mentioned, we believe Gojiin knew because Daudi told him".
The many eyes blink at Elthana, then at Vin, the Spider listens and clicks it's mandibles in thought. "If I learned one thing from the lands of winter, it is that everything ends. Even winter itself. I accept the death of my master. I was not aware of the ending of the primordial giant of this realm, nor do I know what a Lumithor is but I know death. Saudi, deaths champion brought this about. Where is she? Is she one that is also aligned with your cause?"
Wren Cloudhop slumps further forward in the pose she is, in knelt on the floor below Urchin. The soothing tones of Gewyn's music having apparently calmed her to sleep.
Muir thinks about stepping in front of Hector and having him face the spider but decides against it since he friends have agreed that there was no saving the Djinn. He lets it go. He stands quietly by their sides allowing them to answer the question. Seemingly satisfied with Elthana and Vin's answer, she asks another. Muir feels comfortable to answer this one without contradicting his friends.
"Indeed her and her brother are on our side in the upcoming battle. She is currently with the other djinn at a meeting preparing for the assault."
"Lumithor is the son of Vox Tontritor, guardian of the shadowfell gate and protector of the realm against the forces of Nectyran. He's dead now sadly, killed by the one who now controls Vox Tontritor's powers, but his spirit remains as long as he remains true to his duty. Or something like that", Vin offers, surprised Muir hadn't wanted to explain the lore there.
"It sounds like you might have a respect for death. The Raven Queen in her three aspects, one of which I would class as a personal friend, although we aren't speaking at the moment. That's another story, unrelated to this. I wouldn't say Daudi brought this about, by the way. There is a phrase where we are from. Don't kill the messenger. Daudi was just the messenger. And if you do have a respect for death, and an abhorrence of undeath, then this is the fight for you".
Elthana looks at Muir, a bit confused he is so succinct with his answer, very unMuir like. But is glad he doesn't argue the situation with the dijiin, what is done it done and there isn't much to do about it now.
As Vin steps up and answers the great spider, Elthana nods along, really hoping Urchin doesn't blame them as well.
The spider thinks, the sylph snores, then very carefully Urchin begins weaving silk strands around wren, like a mother tucking a child in to bed the giant spider swaddles the sylph and then sticks the sleepy package to her back, "my master taught me many things about the creation of this land and the battle between death and undeath, the alliance the primordial giant had with the raven queen. Thinking on it he may have mentioned a Lumithor, but it was not kindly. If there is one who defeated vox in the hopes of weakening the raven then my master would hope that I would assist the Vox's cause in his stead. But how can one such as myself assist?"
Spyro, who has been listening and seemingly vibrating with excitement, hops up into the air once more and feverishly begins sprouting words once more "they could use all the Fae magic they can get their hands on! This body of mine is pretty new, so I'm weakened in comparison to what I once was, but you Urchin, you are at full power! They have a fire djiin and a lightning one, a death giant and some arcane science guy! I'm not sure what duun does, I think it's some kind of sound manipulation, ooh Gewyn is great at weaving a magical melody! And vin has some celestial and infernal powers, Neferox is a powerful demondog, Elthana is like a shadow assasin, and Muir is also here, he s the big earned one, talks to birds it's hilarious!"
"Muir keeps lots of snacks for later as well", Vin observes quietly under his breath as Lady Urchin wraps up Wren.
Following on from Spyro's little monologue, he adds, "Well the truth is we can use all the help we can get. I don't want to put you off, but we are facing some overwhelming odds, and every little helps. Not that I think what you bring is a little, from the way Spyro makes it sound you will be a valuable asset. What exactly can you do, though? It would help us to strategise to know, if you are willing to join us".
Muir sighs "Yes I am the den mother apparently for this group....feed them, keep them alive, and keep birds as friends....I am also the lore keeper but I suppose that is unofficially."
The corner of Elthana's mouth raises a bit at Spyro's description of Muir and the loxodon's response to it. But she stays silent and waits for Urchin to respond to the small fey dragon and Vin.
Urchin listens to the ramblings of Spyro, offering the faerie dragon patience and looking to each menber off the group in turn. "To impress a ward of the spring, even a reconstituted one takes impressive feats, I humbly offer my own power in return. what I can say about my own prowess seems moot, you need help and I am offering it. Though if you must know I share a kinship with ice, the ends of things, and I hunt and eat like a spider... this does not explain fully my capabilities, I am aware, but I have no easy way to make that happen."
The giant spider begins to make to leave, exiting into the courtyard, provided that nobody stops her.
Vin is a little surprised that the conversation goes as well as it does, but he doesn't question it.
"That's fine, you are right, we are in no position to be picky. If Spyro thinks you will be useful, and you are willing to join us, then I expect you will be a great boon to our efforts", he says with more positivity than he has felt in a while.
At least we are not going back empty handed.
"Are we done here, then?", he asks of the others, looking more than ready to leave himself.
Muir nods "Seems our journey here is over unless there is someone else here who could help with our mission?"Muir looks at the spider lady for an answer
Urchin makes for the door, squeezing her body out of the window with some effort and taking care that the sleeping sylph is not harmed. "There are fighters on this isle should you wish to find them, but I do not know where... I will follow you, where will you be setting your attack from?" She asks.
Hector and the smeagles are taken back by the sight of the massive spider, and it takes some time for him to calm them.
"Fighters friendly to you and your Djinn or fighters fighting for control of this isle....I don't think we want to take part in any political infighting on this isle" Muir looks to the others to see their opinions on the matter
"This isle wasn't noted for its warriors, right?", Vin replies. "I mean, Shenoh has the biggest army and protects other isles, Akiin at least has an army to protect itself. What are we talking about here? A few fighters or a decent sized fighting force?".
He thinks for a moment longer, "And I would also like to know who or what they fight now now".
"mostly eachother," Urchin responds with a deal of underlying frustration "I understand if you do not have time to play arbitrator amongst those who struggle for dominance in Gojiin's stead." She begins to spin an icy silk thread from her thorax that loops out like a rope, she coils it on the ground in preparations for... Something. "You have a safe place to base your attack from yes? I do not wish for wren to be part of your battle, but I also do not wish to leave here here alone" she asks gesturing to the sleeping sylph safely tucked under her arachnid abdomen.
Muir nods "Yes currently there is a spot which is safe for Wren. We can take you there once we are all set. I see no reason to get involved with the warring tribes here"

Muir follows and waits. He has nothing to add and waits to see how the fae work this out.
