Balrog, you can tell that the rat track are fairly recent, maybe a day old, and that the human old tracks are almost a month old and were made by three or four human-sized humanoids moving across the area to the north.
Dust and odd bits of stony debris and rubble lie scattered on the floor. An ornate fountain is build into the eastern wall. Through cracked and stained, the fountain's overarching carving of a diving dragon retains its beauty. A relief-carved stone door stands on the western wall. There is a passage that leads north to AREA 28, or a door to AREA 27.
Indeed it is, that perception roll is great enough for you to detect a few things:
There is a scythe trap rigged by the western door. In addition to that, the western door feels very cold to the touch, and there are carvings of skeletal dragons depicted on the door. You can almost detect the very faint aura of magic on it, too.
That, and of course, you are able to comprehend everything else in the universe for a brief moment before you brain explodes.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Phil will wonder back into the room, turns out he was in fact trying to examine an arch in the previous room before he noticed you all were gone. He’s also going to very carefully try to disarm that sythe trap.
Balrog, on the fountain's basin you see the faded words that say "LET THERE BE FIRE".
POINTS OF INTEREST: DC15 Wisdom (Perception): Phil disarms a scythe trap he found by the western door. DC10 Intelligence (Investigation): Balrog discovered some secret words DC20 Wisdom (Perception): Judas discovered the scythe trap and the meaning of the universe.
You can either proceed to AREA 27, or 28, or see what Balrog does with the fountain.
Varth utters a few incantations and some gestures. Soon enough, his eyes glaze a bit before his irises change from the color blue to the color green and he starts to look at the room in an entirely different lens.
As soon as Balrog speaks the words, a reddish liquid begins to well from the diving dragon's mouth, slowly accumulating in the basin. Varth, your spell is showing you two points of magic interest. The liquid coming from the dragon's mouth, and the cold door along the west wall.
Judas gets nervous goosebumps as the hair on the back of his neck stands on end: "Tread lightly, my friends. This place reeks of the undead. Varth - what on God's green earth is that liquid, and why did you touch it?! Feeling any different? Feeling like you're about to turn into a dragon?"
Judas will pull out his mace and have it at the ready, as he walks over to the weirdly magical door (from the side...not straight on), and taps his mace on the door as if he were knocking on it.
Balrog mumbles, “Could be that blasted imp” as he inspects the tracks.

“Let ...there...be...fire,” Balrog whispered aloud as he read the fountain.

(Casts detect magic)
As soon as Balrog speaks the words, a reddish liquid begins to well from the diving dragon's mouth, slowly accumulating in the basin. Varth, your spell is showing you two points of magic interest. The liquid coming from the dragon's mouth, and the cold door along the west wall.
"I may highly regret this, but in the name of discovery and research I must be brave."
Varth goes and inspects the liquid from the fountain and touches the surface, ever so lightly.
It APPEARS to be, under your detection, the liquid to be able to cast the spell Fire Breath.
“What is it Varth, need we empty our water flasks and fill them here?” Balrog asks of Varth.

Balrog drains his water flask and fills it with the strange liquid.
Sounds good, then where to?
