All - Marla chuckles at Krugh's question and says, "No, not quite-" She then gasps and drops her bucket of water, "Where did you get that!?" She points a shaky finger at the stone and plant greataxe as she takes a step back, "You all have dealt with the evil fey of the woods?" She begins to back away a bit, looking to each of you and your newfound weaponry, "You help the lycanthropes and cavort with evil fey? Tell me truly, why are you here!?"
Thelan steps forward and tries to calm the Druid “Truly, we are only here to save the children. We had hoped you would give us information that could help us evade the Dragon to aid in the rescue. It appears you have information on much more than the Dragon. If you can help us get into the Keep, perhaps we can recover the book for you” Persuasion: 18.
Thelan considers what she has shared already “You just mentioned asking the Fey spirits for help in cleansing the forest of the Dragon’s work. Why then to you shrink away from them now and call them evil?”
Thelan - Marla still eyes you all a bit suspiciously but seems to relax a bit, "I've never been to the keep, but I do have certain magics that could protect you in your endeavor. I could cast the death ward spell upon each of you, but only if you discard those foul artifacts," She gestures to your wood and stone weapons, "And give me your word you will seek out and bring me the book." She picks up the bucket and sets about refilling it, "Yes, I mentioned good-aligned spirits helping me, not the evil ones." She takes another sidelong glance at the weapons before turning her attention to the well.
Marla seems to have been honest thus far so far as you can tell.
*Note that this version of the spell will last until used, dispelled, or you leave the Woods of Sharp Teeth*
Krugh - Marla's earlier amusement is replaced by barely veiled annoyance as she says, "Yes, I'm sure they've infected their own children with their disease as well... Savages."
Neela doesn't like the idea of giving up her shiny rocks. How could such a cute fey spirit be evil? There is something else going on here, but she doesn't know what.
"Do you mind if we discuss this offer amongst ourselves before we agree? If we are going to take care of this Duskbringer, we need a plan."
Should Marla agree, Neela draws the others off to the side a little ways out of earshot.
"What do you all think? Me, I think a good story shouldn't have too many surprises and this Marla is throwing out quite a few. Someone hasn't told us the whole truth: either the elves, the spirit, or Marla. Who do we believe?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Krugh is just more confused
whhaa? So the three tailed fox was evil?
He reaches into his bag and retrieves a fistful of pink petals
Is this evil?
He then unstraps his axe and drops it at her feet
Is this axe evil?
He then squints his eyes at her
Maybe only the one holding the axe is good or evil, not the axe itself. Those elves did not look to be evil and the elven woman was wounded a bunch. I thought that weres healed very quickly. What you speak of does not all fit together.
Assuming they get out of earshot from Marla, Yasmina too leans in and huddles up with the others. "I trust the fey spirit over this one." She says grimly. "She seems scared of the weapons for some reason. If I had to guess it is she who is a lycanthrope."
Krugh - Marla looks on in disgust as you lay the gifts of the fox before her and says matter-of-factly, "If they were but simple elves then they would be dead. No normal person can stand against such a beast and live to tell the tale." She mutters something under her breath and the greataxe falls apart, becoming a pile of pointless looking rocks and sticks, "What you say is true of mundane weaponry, yes, but magical gifts can be cursed."
Marla seems to have been honest thus far so far as you can tell.
You do recall a story about a werewolf attack on Baldur's Gate: During 1434 DR, the former Grand Duke of Baldur’s Gate, Valarken, fled to Vehlarr after a failed coup. Valarken allied himself with the werewolves and retaliated against the city. The attack was repelled and Valarken was driven back into the woods with the remaining werewolves.
“I believe the elves. I think something is amiss here as well”Thelan whispers to the group. “The spirit warned us that not all was as it looks, were they warning us of the elves, Marla, or something else?”
He glances back at the Druid “And how does she know the Fey spirit we spoke with was evil? We didn’t even describe it. I value the weapons more than her spell and I think there is more to the book than she is telling us.”
But it seems like you at least owe me a Death Ward after destroying a perfectly good weapon. I think our goals are not as aligned as we thought or hoped. May you prosper, and a good night to you miss.
Krugh turns and walks towards the edge of the clearing intent on finding a good place for the night outside any possible spying or influence of this druid.

Yasmina messages Razul, asking him to see if he can peek into the cottage, looking for any clues to whether Marla is more than a half-elven druid. Razul Perception: 11 Stealth: 19
To the ones still huddled together Yasmina whispers. "Just trust me on this now, Marla is evil and we need to take her out now, but try to take her alive, she still has much to tell us."
Krugh - Marla narrows her eyes at you and purses her lips, "I think it'd be best if you leave now. I don't think I can help you." Marla grabs her bucket and begins heading toward her cottage.
All - Marla chuckles at Krugh's question and says, "No, not quite-" She then gasps and drops her bucket of water, "Where did you get that!?" Krugh looks perplexed
uhh, so the Elves are were-elves?
Are the "kids" were-elf-kids then?

Got any silver, weapon or coin to poke at her?
Also, ever heard of a werewolf attack on Baldur's Gate?

Come to think of it, it doesn't make much sense to me for a were to equip themselves with magic weapons as the elves did, or to give them to us.
hmmmm.....
Krugh again squints his eyes at the druid
But you might just be mistaken, the elves now are harmless and not like the evil were-elves from before ( Since he didn't roll well on his Insight )

Razul Perception: 11 Stealth: 19
Yasmina - Raz settle on a windowpane and peeks in through a dirty window. He sees the following:
Krugh - Marla smirks and says, "I'll need your word that you'll retrieve the grimoire first."
To the ones still huddled together Yasmina whispers. "Just trust me on this now, Marla is evil and we need to take her out now, but try to take her alive, she still has much to tell us."
Krugh huffs
Huh, and why should we retrieve a locked up tome for a crazy lady thst lives alone in the woods eh?
Some druid you sre, speaking against the fey, destroying property you don't agree with.
Why didn't you get that tome yourself?

Sinak is huddled up with the rest, sends a message to each of you, “Ok, how are we going to do this? What did you see, how do you know for certain?”
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Krugh - Marla narrows her eyes at you and purses her lips, "I think it'd be best if you leave now. I don't think I can help you." Marla grabs her bucket and begins heading toward her cottage.
