Neela clambers up the ladder and puts her ear up against the door of the barracks to the foyer beyond, trying to hear what they might be saying.

She looks at the others and whispers: "I know it sounds crazy. But really, I could go out there and pretend that I have been summoned as a minion of Duskbringer and try to lure them away from this door. Yasmina, your invisible helper could come with me and warn you if I get in trouble. Your helper can relay to you what they see out there, right? If things go really bad, I can run back to the room with Lucan and lock myself in. But I'm pretty good at talking my way out of trouble."
Thelan agrees with Krugh and nods to Neela “You are a brave one, little dragon. Find out what you can, but at the first sign of trouble, call out and we will come for you.”
Neela - You hear a bit of conversation between kobolds, "...about that room?" Says one. "Door's stuck. Kashak said to ransack the rest of the place and come back to it." Says the other. The first voice says, "Alrighty then, I'll leave these here and head upstairs." You hear a clatter as something is dropped onto the floor and then the sound of clawed feet scampering away.
Sinak waits until they are gone, and then says to Neela, “We will hold the door shut after you leave. When you come back, knock on the door seven times in this pattern, we will know it is you. Like this…. Shave and a hair - cut…. two bits…. Do you have it? Then we will open the door for you. Otherwise, we will make it “stuck.”
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Neela nods gravely at Sinak's instructions. "I've got it. Shave and a hair - cut...two bits." She looks around at the group, finally pausing on Yasmina. "What is your invisible helper's name? It will be nice to know that they are with me."
Before going out the door, Neela takes out her waterskin and splashes the water over herself, scrubbing at her face and arms to remove the brass paint. Underneath is bright blue scales. She picks up some dust from the floor and covers herself to dull the shine a little and at least make the scales appear somewhat more black. She pulls out her purse with her gold and a few of the magic sling stones, carrying them in her arms as a show of an offering to the dragon. Then with a nod to the others, slips out the door.
Neela - As soon as you open the door, a well-armed and armored kobold immediately calls out to you in draconic and hurries over to you, "How did you get in there? Meepo said it was locked." He sees the items in your arms and says, "Find anything good?" Behind the kobold you see the most eye-catching feature of this room, a large pile of treasure on the floor. You also see a floor mosaic, a huge disk, surrounded by flames, with a crescent moon and two stars set in shimmering stone. Unfortunately, the beauty of the mosaic has been marred by a crudely painted profile of a black dragon slopped across it. Above, you see a dome formed by thick tree limbs. Several passages lead off from this chamber to other areas of the keep, one of them blocked by debris from above.
Yasmina - From his higher vantage point, Razul can see that Neela and the kobold talking with her appear to be the only two kobolds in the large foyer at the moment. He also sees that the kobolds have painted a crudely wrought profile of a black dragon over the mosaic on the floor.

"Ohh boy I'm glad I found you guys. I got so lost. There was this passage but rocks fell and it caved in and there was no way out, but then I found this room, and then I heard you guys and I found this door, it's not locked, just stuck, you can only open it from the inside, but I found some cool stuff along the way, look, some gold and some magic sling stones..." Neela launches into her characteristic jabbering as she leads the other kobold away from the door and towards the treasure pile where she drops her coin pouch and the stones. "...and boy I'm glad I finally found you guys. Where's Meepo? What's through all these doors? Hey, have we found the great and mighty one yet? I don't know about you but I'm excited to be a minion for a proper dragon like our amazing wonderous ebony eminence, this is gonna be great." As she is talking, she is slowly trying to lead the other kobold away from the treasure pile towards any exit from this room that she can see.
Yasmina, still standing protectively with Syllis and Faen, listens attentively to the brave kobold as she lays out her plan. "Just be careful Neela. His name is Razul but he's not that talkative I should warn you."She says with a quick smile, then messaging Razul to try to watch over Neela and report back what he sees and hears.
As Razul reports on things on the other side of the door, Yasmina briefly borrows his eyesight to seee for herself, then briefing the others on the adventures of Neela, the brave but rather small dragon. "I think she got this..."She says to the others. "...so far." She then turns to the half-orc. "We should focus on getting the children back to their mother Krugh, we want to avoid fights when possible, trying to take control over a kobold tribe should be a challenge for another day I think."
Neela - The kobold follows you as you lead him away from the treasure. He nods, listens, and opens his mouth to answer your questions only to shut it again when you ask another. When you've finished, he says, "Kashak said Duskbringer was angry that we were moving too slow and that's what made all that noise down below. You're lucky you made it out alive. Meepo went in there I think." The kobold points to a room directly across the hall from the barracks. "I'm not sure, I'm supposed to stay here and watch the horde. I haven't seen her, but I sure felt her rage when she shook the keep, it knocked me flat on my back! Kashak says she's in her lair, beneath the keep and that she will only come out when her horde is acceptably huge."
There are four other doors to other rooms in the foyer and a staircase that leads upward to a second level. Two huge wooden and iron doors stand to the south but are barred by a massive wooden beam. Judging from its size, you'd suspect it took the combined strength of all the kobolds to put it in place.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Neela leads the kobold towards the stairs and continues jabbering away. She eyes the huge wooden doors to the south thinking they must be the way out and tries to judge whether Krugh would be able to lift that beam. Probably. "Oh, Meepo is across the hall, huh? Ok I'll catch up with them later. Right now I'm so hungry I could eat a goblin, you know, I haven't eaten in three days, all this running about getting treasure, so I should eat something then go back and find more treasure. Is this the way to the kitchen? You should come with, a quick snack won't hurt. I bet you used up all your strength getting that big heavy beam across the doors. It looks so heavy only an orc could lift it. Come on, lets get a quick snack, now while Meepo is busy..."
She begins climbing the stairs, speaking loud enough that she hops Razul can hear it.
Thelan looks at Krugh when he makes his suggestions, then turns to the others “Should we make a break for it before they return? Get the children out of the keep and wait nearby for Neela?”
Neela - The kobold looks at you, then back at the pile of treasure, "I don't know... Kashak said I should watch the hoard.." He looks around and adds, "But it's just us here and the door is locked. Okay, I could use a snack actually!" The kobold follows you up the stairs and at their top you see that the pinnacle of Ravenglade Keep is a spectacular chamber. It is filled with a broad, circular table that has a living tree growing through the center. The paneled walls are carved with woodland scenery with ravens sitting in the upper branches of the highest trees. Some of the ravens eyes contain gemstones, but many more were plundered. Unfortunately, a gaping hole in the ceiling compromises the beauty of the chamber. Hovering near this hole is a red, glowing ball of light. You see your fellow kobold stiffen when he sees it and he stammers, "S-sorry Valarken, we w-were just looking for a snack-I-I mean more treasure for Duskbringer! You didn't see any around here did you?" The kobold wrings his hands and continues, "Uh, I don't see any so I'd better get back-" The kobold is cut off as the ephemeral ball of light suddenly brightens considerably, "Silence, worm! Your inane prattling vexes me! All of you simpering kobolds, so submissive and eager to please. It is no wonder you wallow in the dirt, pleading for your betters to raise you from it. Bah!" The kobold recoils as if stricken and the will-o-wisp floats over to him, "Looking for a snack, were you?" The kobold looks conflicted for a moment then you see his shoulders drop and he nods slowly, "Well... So am I." Red lightning suddenly arcs from the will-o-wisp toward the kobold who scrambles out of the way with a shriek. He tears out of the room, leaving you with Valarken. The will-o-wisp laughs maniacally at the terrified kobold, what do you want to do?
All - Razul reports to Yasmina that Neela and the other kobold have left the area and the room appears clear for the time being, what do you want to do?

Krugh - Quickly sifting through the treasure, your hand grasps a small statuette of some kind. Upon closer examination it appears to be a fertility idol. A male fertility idol with a generously exaggerated phallus, which you happen to be grasping. It looks like to could be quite valuable to the right collector.
Krugh - You see the crowbar that Sinak jammed into the space between the floor and door.
Neela clambers up the ladder and puts her ear up against the door of the barracks to the foyer beyond, trying to hear what they might be saying.

In a low, whispering tone.
hmmmm, me thinking why we let kobolds live to hurt people later.
Make no sense unless we turn them to good like Orcs
Krugh looks over his companions
What happen if Neela kill dis Kashak, she take over? Lead others to good?
Perhaps she challenge him and choose me as champion?
