Cyro wails on the troll, hoping to put it down. With a stab from his sword, the troll falters and looks like it's taken too much punishment. It stumbles to the ground... Only to rise up again! Foolish grin still on its face, it swings the tree branch at Cyro again, juuust missing (16 to hit). Snow floofs into the air as the tree branch smacks the ground with a large amount of force. Fro's attack also misses!
Cyro scores another hit with his blade! It gashes the troll’s flesh, leaving an obvious wound. But almost immediately the wound starts to close up again. The troll just grins stupidly even as it raises its branch again.
Orvo fires off a crossbow bolt that goes wide and sails away, landing somewhere far away in the snow.
The branch comes crashing down at Cyro, who is able to jump of the way again. The troll doesn’t seem particularly frustrated or pressed into action. It seems to know, with a sort of unintelligent certainty, that sooner or later it’ll grind you down.
Orvo is thinking the same thing. “This isn’t working!” He shouts as he starts loading in another crossbow bolt. “The creature is healing up as well as we can dish out damage. We’ve got to stop that healing somehow!”
Orvo blinks and throws down his crossbow, diving for his pack.
Fro grabs the troll and contains it! (It got a 15) It struggles in your grip. Orvo grabs a torch out of the bag and his flint and steel, and sets to work lighting the thing.
Round 6
21 Cyro -
15 Orvo - using his action to light a torch
15 Troll (69 damage?) - struggling against Fro’s grapple
Cyro, perhaps nervous to accidentally stab Fro who is grappling the troll, gives two ineffective blows. Meanwhile the trolls other wounds continue to knit up.
(OOC: Sorry I didn't post yesterday, had some dental work yesterday, didn't know it would hurt as much as it did.. lol, ended up on meds and in bed all day.)
Orvo gets a torch lit and quickly jabs it at the troll, into one of the still-present wounds that you’ve inflicted. The fire burns flesh and cauterizes it open, and the troll howls wildly. It struggles mightily against Fro’s grip (athletics 20) and Fro senses a new primal desperation in it’s manner, but her grip holds.
Round 7
21 Cyro -
15 Orvo - burning troll with torch
15 Troll (44 damage, 25 was regenerated) - struggling against Fro’s grapple
Cyro’s blades flash and slash, now the wounds gaping and flesh burning as Orvo smacks them with the torch. With a great shudder the troll goes limp in Gilded’s arms. It’s regenerative magic seems to have been turned off, and now it has succumbed to the many wounds you inflicted on it. It’s dead!
“Good news bad news. If we push ahead we can make it to the Thin Sheets today. That means no more remorhazes. Bad news is it’s miserable going out there, and there’ll be no food to forage that an elk would want to eat. How’re we gonna keep this little guy alive?”

Thanks nontyper,
I’ll bot later today. I have been out of town this weekend, including today, so it’s been hard for me to follow my usual schedule.
It’s dead!
This warrants a level up to level 3.
Fro makes sure to pick up all of her belongings she may have dropped in the snow, then searches thr troll.
"Where did this thing come from, I wonder?"
Level up to 3. Picks up frenzy and 10 hp to 35 max now.
The troll has no belongings other than its tree branch.
The rest of the day passes uneventfully and you have a peaceful night.
This is now the beginning of day 16 of exposure to Frigid Woe
47 miles of progress made in the Eiselcross

Fro will check on our young Elk and make ready to move out for the day.
The young elk seems hungry and irritable today.
Orvo says,
“Good news bad news. If we push ahead we can make it to the Thin Sheets today. That means no more remorhazes. Bad news is it’s miserable going out there, and there’ll be no food to forage that an elk would want to eat. How’re we gonna keep this little guy alive?”
