Twig freezes in shock as she stands before the beast. Feeling it's gaze on her, she quickly shakes her head then whips out her daggers and charges the beast. As she does so, she focuses on it's feet.

The party dealt a good chunk damage to the basilisk. It roars in defiance. It lowers its head and forces Twig to gaze into its eyes. Then tries to bite Twig with his large maw full of pointed teeth.

Twig opens her mouth to scream in pain as the Basilisk sinks it's teeth into her. However, the scream is cut short as it pulls its head back to look her in the eyes.

Zhernon swings again, missing with the first strike (9 to hit) and hopefully connects with the second. (13 to hit, 9 damage)

Zhernon attacks bounce harmlessly off of the Basilisk's tough hide.

"Not good!" thought Roland. He thought it was Twig screaming, but without looking anywhere directly except the floor, he couldn't be sure. Catching a glimpse of the basilisk's toes, he roared and charged, attempting to skewer the creature.

MOVE: Toward the basilisk
ACTION: Attack with averted eyes (disadvantage) via Booming Blade

SURGE: Same thing, cast Booming Blade again

Roland grits his teeth through the pain, but it was clear that the basilisk had wounded him seriously.

Trying to side-step, he took another magically-enhanced swing at the creature before assessing his wound.

ACTION: Again attack with averted eyes via Booming Blade
* Sword Slash - Attack: 15, Mundane Slashing Damage: 9 (or 8 instead if crit)
BONUS: Use Second Wind to regain 23 HP

Zhernon cries out sharply as the basilisk suddenly turns and chomps down on his shoulder for a moment, making him reel in pain! They lash back out though hoping their strikes can quickly fell the beast!

"It seems to be faltering!" thought the farmboy as he watched the basilisk's feet. Seeing that his wound wasn't as bad as he'd thought, he rushed the creature, trying to finish it off quickly.
