((Yep, my bad. I missed some damage there. It's dead now. Peren finished it off. They each had 26 hp.))
Peren lunges in with a perfect strike, causing the icy sentinel to crack and shatter, leaving the room quiet, but for the panting of you and your friends.
"Well, that was fun. Everyone feeling good? Great. Let's go explore this corridor they were so keen on protecting." Mirabel shoots a quick look at Thont. "Carefully."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gavin is looking a bit unsteady and beat up ((down to 1 hp guys)).
“I think I’m going to need a small rest before continuing, those things hit a bit harder than I thought.” He snaps his head sideways and looks over at Thont, “Gentle giant, if you ever think that you should do something like that again...don’t! I like a good fight as much as the next person, but let’s not take stupid risks like that. We have to be smarter then the things we find here or we won’t be leaving.”
With that said, Gavin suggests a short rest, and retrieving the climbing gear. He also picks up a pice of the sentinel and places it with the glitter sand he collected earlier. He takes a moment to cast cure wounds on himself.
Kathra seems disappointed that the golems went down so easily. Or more accurately, that they had the gall to go down before she got a chance to swing her axe at all. "Disappointing." She eyes Gavin, who looks a bit rough, and coughs, slightly embarrassed. "A rest is probably a good idea. I shall stand guard." With that, she walks between the two doorways and plants her feet, almost daring something to come through.
((Might as well - a dead cleric is no good to us. I'll just keep the 2 hp damage I took during that))
Totally up for the short rest... Down by half, Thont will use a hit dice to heal:
Hit Dice: 5
"My apologies for activating them, but I find it beneficial that we now know they're guarding what's out of this room than just what was in it. While I don't find my actions any more unusual or likely to have awakened them as us looting the room before fighting, I do take full responsibility and apologize for Kathra's icy prison."
((I have a few spells left if anyone needs healing, but would prefer to save them if possible for next fight as not sure when we will get our next long rest. Kathra and I each have a potion of healing in case of an emergency))
””Just warn us Thont, so we can be prepared, we got caught flat footed and I almost got smashed to bits by an ice cube from hell.” As Gavin rubs his bruised ribs, he ponders the monks logic, but won’t give him the satisfaction of agreeing with it.
At the end of each 30 foot tunnel is a door made of what looks to be the same white sparkly stone as the walls. You don't hear anything on the other side of either door.

I relay to the party that I checked each of the tunnels and they both have doors at the end, I was unable to hear anything from this side of the door and did not try to open them. So they may be locked. We need to decide which tunnel to try first, should we follow the rules of left and take the left one first?
I’m good with going left. ((Isn’t the left door more in the direction of the tunnel we didn’t take below? I’m thinking we may be able to find that entrance and then maybe double back to the right door.))
””Did you notice any traps on the door Peren?” Gavin asks. “I can give you some of Tempus’ guidance to assist when, and if you would like it.”
((No, both stone tunnels exiting this room are perpendicular to the round tunnel cut in the ice down below as it was going north and both of these are going west.
EDIT: Unless you mean the carved stone tunnel up the side of the glacier you didn't take when you chose to explore the cavern crack instead, then yes, in theory both of these tunnels point that way.))
As the sentinel swings at Gavin, Peren stabs him with his rapier in his side
Attack: 16 Damage: 6
Sneak: 6
((23 damage Meta; 3 from me, 5 from Mirabel, 15 more from me. hopefully that destroyed it otherwise I am hit and looking pretty ragged))
((Yep, my bad. I missed some damage there. It's dead now. Peren finished it off. They each had 26 hp.))

Thus ends combat.
Peren says “That was not too bad” as he looks around at everyone

6 hp recovered
((short rest anyone?)

((Just to refresh everyone, there are two doorways, both leading the same direction, spaced about 15 feet apart on the western wall.))
((Two separate hallways though correct?))
Gavin takes a quick breather regaining 2 hit dice of hp
9 hp recovered
(and... with that crappy roll I cast another healing spell on myself
7 hp recovered
((In that case, I'll have Kathra between the two doorways))

Peren will take advantage of the short rest and use 1 hit die
8
((With that max roll of a 1d8 and my con bonus, I am back to full health 24 HP))
Mirabel idly wonders to himself what it must be like to get hit.
((Whenever we are all ready to go uh, anywhere.))
Peren looks at the tunnels and tries to listen closely by each one. ((Can I hear anything))

Peren thanks Gavin for his Tempus guidance and will check the left door for traps and then the right door
