As Kathra is about to bed down, she pauses next to Gavin. "Something's out there. Sounds big, too."
Then, because she's been nearly incinerated and has weird tattoos now and that's a lot to ask someone to go through in a day, she falls asleep surprisingly quickly.
((Yes, thank you for reminding me. I will also have the goggles with me and will use them to look down the hallway if I hear the noise Kathra was describing))
((I hope that sword isn’t cursed lol))
He thanks Kathra for the heads up “Sleep well Kathra, I’ve got you and the others covered while you get your well earned rest.”
You collapse into a pile, all of your physical and mental energy spent on a day of climbing and fighting around the inside of some weird glacial commune filled with strange puzzles, ice monsters, dead walrus-people, odd drawings, likely an invisible dragon monster, and, of course, some broken magical crystal pillar that left you burned to a crisp and covered in arcane designs. it has definitely be...a day. As you drift off to sleep your dreams are awash with strange sights and sounds. Again you find yourself swimming in the sea of stars, directionless but mobile. This time however, you hear a strange chanting in the background of the void. You can't really make out any words that you recognize, but there is certainly a rhythm to it that you find most entrancing. As you drift along listening to the sounds of the universe you notice that the silvery animal constellations on your skin seem to move and shift in time with the chanting, almost as if the images are alive. You shoo a pair of outlined deer from your arm and it almost tickles as they move across your shoulders. A constellated bear plods from your neckline down your chest to rest on your midsection. A school of star-fish swims along your ankles. All in all it is a rather strange experience that you would normally find quite alarming if not for the calming chant that permeates your dream world.
Eventually, when you awaken, you will know the meaning of the power your marking posses.
((Statistically, you have gained the ability to cast Conjure Animals one time as a Standard Action. Basically, you can choose one of the options when you cast the spell and I will determine what animal leaps from your skin to your defense.))
For Gavin:
An hour or so into your rather quiet watch, you decide to take a better look at this sword you now have and see about unlocking its true powers. The blade, formed of the purest crystal, is extremely sharp. As you peer closer with your goggles on, you see past the radiated aura surrounding the blade and uncover new mysteries within. There are star-fields and nebulae that dance within the faceted edges of the weapon. As you concentrate further, trying to bond with its energies, you find your self mentally transported within the sword's astral-like space. In the background you can hear the sounds of chanting in a strange language and the ringing of forge-work, but slightly off, like as if the materials being used are not metals and stone, but the ringing of crystal as it is it chipped and flaked to perfection. With each strike you see stars spark and sputter, spinning across your vision in shooting streams. A single word begins to coalesce to your senses as the moments tick on. "Gugnir." You know this to be the name of the sword; the heart of its power like the core of a burning sun. Its secrets are laid bare before you and it accepts you as its wielder.
((I have added The Starsword Gugnir to your inventory. You may equip it as you wish.))
When you come to you realize you've been entranced for almost two hours. Looking around you see that the pile of walrus-folk seems less in number than it used to be.
Kathra wakes up suddenly, breathing slightly harder than usual. After a few moments spent staring at her new tattoos, she seems to calm down and goes back to sleep.
It's hard to say. You never really had the time to plot them all out before now. Most of the ones you remember from your dream do seem to be where you remember them ending up, though if they started there you have no clue.

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
Gavin is very happy with his new sword. When everyone is awake he shares what he saw and that this new weapon makes him more confident if we should run into the dragon
The only thing that seems really amiss is that, when you take a quick head-count, you seem to be short three of the eight walrus-folk bodies that were in the northwestern corner of the large room. You can't tell if they maybe got up and walked off or if something much larger might have drug them away. You'd think that Gavin would have mentioned seeing either event, but his story of being entranced by the sword you found while bonding with it sort of explains how he missed whatever happened during his watch.

"I left them a note and everything!" Mirabel shudders a little. "I think they were probably taken." He looks for drag marks or footprints that might indicate that someone took the bodies.
Kathra, in a surprise move, does not seem particularly concerned by this. "More than likely whatever beast lurks these halls got hungry and made a snack of them." She looks about the room for any other unwelcome changes.
I ask the party for help to drag one of the walrus men back to the forge to see if I can wake them. “I would like to see if I can use Tempus’ blessing to wake one of these creatures and try to get some answers, would one of you assist me dragging one back here while the others keep watch?”
((I try to grab the one who seemed like the leader that they huddled around if he is still there))
You both look around but find nothing else out of place.
For Thont:
You don't see any drag marks beyond what you and your friends made when searching the bodies the first time. The stone floor here, being slightly rough, is rather resistant to dust and tracks, so you don't get much in that department either. Doing a quick count you are sure that the walrus-folk with the empty blue-jade scabbard and silvered tusk designs is missing along with two of the more "normal" looking walrus-folk.

Eh, probably not. I'm sure it's fine.

((Nah, two is fine.))
((Just made it to the beach, my wife and I are going to catch infinity war while we are here this week))
Did we head back to the room with the walrus men?
Sorry my post was not up to date LOL
I am reading all the post to catch up now
((Yes, and then slept in the forge room for a bit.))

I tell everyone that 3 of the walrus people have disappeared overnight and we need to be on the lookout & have your weapons ready
