Kathra is still a little dubious on the 'wake up a potentially angry walrus man' plan, but she considers that they might know what the hell is going on with her new tattoos, so she lends Gavin a hand.
The bodies of the walrus-folk are both surprisingly heavy and very blubbery, making it hard to get a good grip on them as you drag one away from the pack and into the forge room.

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
Once everyone is prepared, Gavin casts cure wounds on the walrus and waits to see if anything happens. “Tempus, give this creature new breath so he may assist us in your name”
“Ok, plan B” He kneels and prays with one hand on the walrus, looking to the heavens. “Please Tempus, answer my prayer and bring this being back to this world.” Gavin tries his last idea which is to cast lesser restoration on the being.
(( I obviously wait for Mirabel to be done first haha))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Halfway through Gavin's prayer, Mirabel lays hands on the blubbery body of the walrus-man and electricity surges between the two. The eyes of the figure snap open and a reflexive fist swings wide at the dragonborn as the creature spasms.
Fist attack vs. Mirabel's Dex-less AC of 10: 13, 6 bludgeoning damage.
In its flailing, the walrus-folk knocks both Gavin and Mirabel away as it tries to rise.

I draw my sword and have my shield at the ready but hold my action by taking a couple steps back to show I mean him no harm. I move his attention away from Mirabel so he is not between me and the walrus. “Please, we come in peace. We are not your enemy.”
Kathra holds her arms out wide, displaying her new tattoos in what is hopefully a sign of friendship. "Friend, we do not wish to fight. We're seeking understanding of this place - and of the beast you seem to have lurking in your halls."
The creature stands to his full height, nearly at tall as Thont, and certainly with a great deal more bulk. He shakes his head, as if to clear it while holding out an arm defensively, the other cocked back as if to ready another punch. Scanning the room and the lot of you, his long whiskers ruffle slightly and he speaks. "Wh..Whala russ? Wala russ. Russ Vinteralf. Wala wala Ruuusss." Seeing the sword in Gavin's hand, a look akin to confusion crosses his face. "Russ? Wala russ Gugnir?"
Kathra shrugs. "I think his name is Russ." She gestures to herself and says "Kathra." She points to the rest of the party, naming them slowly. After that's done, she turns to the dragonborn. "Mirabel, you've got a spell for this, surely?"
While you still are not sure of their meaning, the sounds of this creature's language match almost exactly the sounds of the chanting in your respective dreams/visions.

Once everyone is prepared, Gavin casts cure wounds on the walrus and waits to see if anything happens. “Tempus, give this creature new breath so he may assist us in your name”
Mirabel attempts to aim his crossbow at the walrus as casually as possible, just in case.
Gavin's divine power settles on the creature, but does not seem to affect it an any meaningful way.
Mirabel relaxes. "What if I just..." He reaches out, his hands sparking with arcane energy.
Casting Shocking Grasp.
Attack: 10 Damage: 7
((Welp))
“Ok, plan B” He kneels and prays with one hand on the walrus, looking to the heavens. “Please Tempus, answer my prayer and bring this being back to this world.” Gavin tries his last idea which is to cast lesser restoration on the being.

((Well done Mirabel))
((Yeaaaaaah!!!!))
"Oof!" Mirabel scrambles to his feet, rubbing his chest. He flashes a winning smile and addresses the walrus man.
"Hello, friend! Can you understand me?"
Kathra holds her arms out wide, displaying her new tattoos in what is hopefully a sign of friendship. "Friend, we do not wish to fight. We're seeking understanding of this place - and of the beast you seem to have lurking in your halls."

“Anyone understand him or have a way to? Maybe we should take him to his comrades?”
((Oh, for the record, Gavin can have his 2nd level spell slot back since he never got to finish casting Lesser Restoration.))
Kathra shrugs. "I think his name is Russ." She gestures to herself and says "Kathra." She points to the rest of the party, naming them slowly. After that's done, she turns to the dragonborn. "Mirabel, you've got a spell for this, surely?"
For Kathra and Gavin:
While you still are not sure of their meaning, the sounds of this creature's language match almost exactly the sounds of the chanting in your respective dreams/visions.
"Surprisingly, I do not." He places a hand on his chest and says "Mirabel." He taps his chest twice to emphasize.
Mirabel motions to Gavin. "Maybe give him the sword?"
Peren says I think he means his leader is Russ, and the sword that I gave to Gavin is Russ’s sword, he had the empty scabbard
I point to the sword and say “Gugnir” and sheath it. then point to myself and say “Gavin”. Then I point to him and wait for him to finish
The tall walrus-man points to himself and says "Rhudall."
