Adelysia cowers in the entry way to the arena, with Ethel and Jan near by.
Avaria, Ula, and Hammerdasher are on the other side of the tower from them, two hobgoblins lay at their feet, possible dead. Another three lay on the ground closer to the far side of the arena, also possibly dead.
A large cat is dead near by, killed by the hobgoblins.
The hob leader, Festan, and one other hobgoblin sleep on the first platform. Nearby Marrin, arms covered in thick grease is trying to get up to the next level.
One angry cat eyes everything going on.
That was a long winded way of saying the only hobgoblins near Avaria appear to be dead. She can change her action if she likes.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Avaria, perhaps influenced by primary instincts and a dislike of cats from the wolf-like ancestry lurking in her blood, moves forward and engages the big black lion, striking out quickly and catching the big best on its shoulder. The cat roars its displeasure at the trident strike.
Ula moves forward to support Avaria, also smacking out with her mace.
Avaria feels the movement of air from the powerful swing but manages to sidestep the blow. Ula is not so lucky and it only able to turn her shoulder to the cat, reducing a deadly blow to something just really painful.
The crowd cheers on the black cat's attack, rooting for the underdog.

((@Thor, con save on bless for Ula?))
Marrin looks at her grease covered arms with more than a bit of distaste. Wiping them clean she looks back over to the sleeping hobs then down to Ula and Ava.
Even with the blessing granted from Ula still holding after the swipe from the cat, Marrin again is unable to get a firm grip on the greasy pole and slides back down on to the platform next to the snoring hobgoblins.

((It gave me a 'dice rolls not available' and I went back and put a space to either side, which sometimes makes it work but didn't put it in the damage. Rolling damage here in case it never shows? 12 + 2 ))

Jan's starts to cast her spell, but the sight of the the confusion and anger on the cat's face almost make her take pity on the beast, which causes her to restart the spell a couple of times, but when she finally gets it right, the crackling blast of energy rips across the arena and drives straight into the black lion's head. The cat is dead before it even knows it was hit. A small mercy perhaps.
About half the crowd cheers and about half boos.
Two dead cats, and five hobgoblins, all possibly dead, litter the arena floor. Festan and the last of his soldiers sleep on the first platform where Marrin is enjoying wiping grease from her arms.
Anyone looking up into the stands will now see that Godrick Hargrove is no longer alone on the Editor's platform. His father has joined him and he looks angry. Gladwin Hargrove points out at the bodies littered across the sandy surface and points the finger back at Godrick. Godrick looks impassively from the bodies to his father and says something too quiet for those in the arena itself to hear.
Gladwin throws his arms up in the air angrily and turns around and storms out of view.
Godrick does finally look down into the arena.
"There is no winner yet." Is all Hargrove the younger says.
And while there aren't currently any visible opponents for the party, the rest can post their actions after Ethel and Ula and the others will slip actions in where it makes sense.
Ethel approaches the tower. She conjures a mage hand and sends it up to assist. "Keep moving, people. Let us get this over with before the crowd starts calling for manticores or cockatrices or gods know what other abominations the Hargroves have in their fruit cellar."
Her intent is to have the mage hand grab the rope and raise it up to the top level and tie it off, so Marrin can climb up. She will send the rest of her time working on this until it is complete, or it becomes obvious that it won't work.

While the pole is being cleaned, Avaria will try to leap up to the platform to help Marrin, using one of the hobgoblin's unconscious bodies to give her a boost.
Athletics 25 (If it should be acrobatics, subtract 2)
Landing on the platform, she does what she can to avoid the sleeping beauties and locks her hands together to help boost Marrin up the pole (using the help action if she can)
As Ethel's mage hand begins to pull and prod at the rope it becomes apparent that it's not enough rope to climb with nor likely thick enough. It's attached to a small pulley and line that runs under the sleeping hobgoblins with a small clasp at the end. This is likely where the flag from above needs to be attached to claim victory.
Marrin manages to get some of the grease off the pole, whether enough came off or not will have to be seen.
Avaria holds her hands out, waiting for Marrin to finish cleaning before giving her a boost.
Ula checks on the cats to make sure they're no longer a threat and then checks on the hobgoblins too, determining that all but one are dead. She then makes her way to the base of the tower and tries climbing up the pole, but manages to just slip back down.
----------------------------------------------
Marrin - the pole is still very smooth and slick - if she's climbing, the DC will be reduced but will still need an Athletics roll (at advantage from Avaria's help)
Jan's up.

"Eh? Oh yeah, I'm great!" Avaria responds to Ula as the one she just hit collapses in front of her. "Just taking care of business."
She steps up to the next hobgoblin and swings again with the handle out..
Attack: 23 Damage: 11
As a recap of what you're facing.
Adelysia cowers in the entry way to the arena, with Ethel and Jan near by.

That was a long winded way of saying the only hobgoblins near Avaria appear to be dead. She can change her action if she likes.
Oh! Forgot the one hopped up to the platform.
Can that attack just be redirected to the cat?
Avaria, perhaps influenced by primary instincts and a dislike of cats from the wolf-like ancestry lurking in her blood, moves forward and engages the big black lion, striking out quickly and catching the big best on its shoulder. The cat roars its displeasure at the trident strike.
Ula moves forward to support Avaria, also smacking out with her mace.
Attack: 12 Damage: 9
Again the cat roars as Ula catches it on the other shoulder.
In response it rears up, striking forward with both massive paws, its claws seeking first Avaria and then Ula.
Attack against Avaria: Attack: 13 Damage: 11
Attack against Ula: Attack: 20 Damage: 7
Avaria feels the movement of air from the powerful swing but manages to sidestep the blow. Ula is not so lucky and it only able to turn her shoulder to the cat, reducing a deadly blow to something just really painful.
The crowd cheers on the black cat's attack, rooting for the underdog.

Jan and Marrin are up.
((@Thor, con save on bless for Ula?))
Marrin looks at her grease covered arms with more than a bit of distaste. Wiping them clean she looks back over to the sleeping hobs then down to Ula and Ava.
She decides to try climbing with gritted teeth.
Athletics?: 16 + bless 1
Dex check: 14+bless 2
Ula Con Save: 22
Even with the blessing granted from Ula still holding after the swipe from the cat, Marrin again is unable to get a firm grip on the greasy pole and slides back down on to the platform next to the snoring hobgoblins.
-----------------------------------------
Jan's up.
Jan has a spell that might be able to help Marrin, but the cat is a more immediate priority, as it's hacking away at her companions.

Ethel's up.
And while there aren't currently any visible opponents for the party, the rest can post their actions after Ethel and Ula and the others will slip actions in where it makes sense.
Marrin just glares at the post and starts prestidigitating it clean so she can easily climb it.
"This has crossed into the absurd."
Ethel approaches the tower. She conjures a mage hand and sends it up to assist. "Keep moving, people. Let us get this over with before the crowd starts calling for manticores or cockatrices or gods know what other abominations the Hargroves have in their fruit cellar."

Once the pole is clean she'll climb the pole, raise the flag and give a flourish.
(If possible.)
