As the wyverns wheel, swoop and alternate between diving and flying low over the treetops and then soaring and gliding high in the cold mountain air, the party has differing levels of comfort with the experience.
Avaria maintains her balance, effortlessly adapting to the movement. As to where they all are and what they’re doing, she’s lost focus. She has so far spent her time watching the rippling muscles of the wyvern as it flies.
Marrin appears to be hating everything about this experience. All of her senses are focussed on staying in the air and not plummeting hundreds of feet down. At one point, when the wyvern makes a sudden turn, Marrin finds herself completely up in the air, with clear space between her and the back of the dragon-kin. But before things can go terribly wrong, the rider in front of Marrin, one of the tiefling twins, reaches back and pulls Marrin back to the safety of the wyvern’s back.
Solomona comfortably balanced and rolling with the movements of the wyvern, finds he’s able to take in the sights around him. He spots puffs of smoke coming from distant chimneys in what must be a nearby village. His guess is confirmed as the group flies quickly over a little mountain village. But then Solomona spots something else, up ahead two other wyverns are in the air, both with riders, and they appear to be diving and swooping around something that the monk can’t make out.
Vonth, while not showing the same ease as Avaria, holds his bulk steady on the back of the wyvern. He seems slightly uncomfortable with the whole process. His attention is too focused on his own plans to notice anything about the skies or woods near the party.
As Vonth reaches forward to grab hold of the woman controlling the wyvern, he miscalculates her strength, and she’s able to push his massive arm to the side. At the same time Vonth notices that she has wrapped the reins tightly around her wrist, and has her boots securely in the stirrups, to keep herself from falling off.
On his second attempt, he is able to get a secure grip around the rider. But when Vonth tries to throw her from the back of the wyvern, he discovers the reins are harder to untangle than they look and she remains where she is.
In response, the rider pulls back on the reins and the wyvern barrel rolls in the air, over and over (DC 20 Athletics to keep a grip on the rider while staying securely on the back of the wyvern - if fail Vonth needs to provide a second roll - DC 12 Athletics - to stay hanging on to the wyvern).
At the same time as the wyvern rolls, the rider shouts a warning to the other riders.

IN THE RING:
Jan has been in there a few hours at least (let’s say 3).
From outside, Jan can hear a loud hiss and a deep-throaty growl.
Jan stays put, concerned, but comfortable in knowledge that she's long left the reach of Soren's friends at the lodge he led them to. Emerging from the ring would make her much more visible than the unseen K, better to stay put while they are in flight.

After Vonth's first attempt to throw the rider off the wyvern, it's as if time stands still. The bright sunlight does little to warm everyone up as the air is cold and crisp. While it feels like everyone has been frozen in time, the wyvern have been still moving forward. Avaria's keen senses confirm that indeed, there are two more wyverns in the distance. They are swooping at a spot in the sky between them, but from here, Avaria can't see what they're after.
Solomona is the first to register what has happened between Vonth and the small rider in front of him.
((Solomona, Marrin and Vonth are all up. Then Talis and the other riders. Then Avaria))

The sounds of swooshing air, hissing and growling, and K's chirps of disapproval all echo around the chamber Jan rests her feet in.

There really hasn't been much chance to talk to Talis. What with all the things to look at, and just enjoying the ride... plus the wind whips his words away before they can reach Talis' ear.
Solomona sees the struggle on the nearby wyvern... he's been cell-neighbours with Vonth for long enough to know the big fullah does not like to be caged or captured, so understands the impulse. And he must admit, those armored riders weren't very friendly... didn't give him a smile or say hello or anything. He can see the action, but hearing anything while flying at this pace is difficult indeed.
Are they trained for this kind of thing? Would the dragon fly down and catch them? Sol wonders idly what Talis would do if one of her riders fell off. He would ask her, but... you know, the wind and all that.
(( I don't want to prevent Vonth's action... I think it's kinda fun TBH. So no action from Sol at this point. )) (( And also, just throwing that bit in there about sound not travelling well while flying... )) (( And also, +36 HP from rolling all six hit dice at short rest ))
Solomona is right behind Talis, so he could probably shout into her ear if he really wants her to hear anything. But yes, speaking with the riders on the other wyverns will be a challenge.
If anything Vonth finds himself more desperate to attack and eliminate the pilot now that he has such a tenuous grip to the wyvern due to the barrel rolls and other maneuvers. While gripping lizard with his thighs, Vonth draws Culver's Longsword and swings out at the Wyvern Rider.
Action - Attack Rider with Longsword - Nat 20 for 27 to hit and 21slashing damage. (Note - I'm using 2 handed attack since there's no way Vonth would have had his shield equipped, so Vonth's AC is 18 instead of 20 for this arial combat...) PLUS - Combat Superiority - Pushing Attack - When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to attempt to drive the target back. You add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll, and if the target is Large or smaller, it must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, you push the target up to 15 feet away from you. Superiority Die is a d8 so that adds 6more damage (rolled 2d8 since it was a critical)... Bonus Action - 2nd of 2 uses of War Priest feature which allows a BA attack when action was a weapon attack. So attack rider again - (non nat) 20to hit for 13 slashing damage PLUS - Combat Superiority - Pushing Attack again - Same as above but adding 5 extra damage...
Just let me know what rolls you want in order for Vonth to maintain his leg lock on the Wyvern so as not to be bucked off...
Talis leans back and cocks her head slightly to the side and shouts back at Solomona "They stop being wyvern riders."
At that point is when she sees what's happening on the other wyvern with Vonth and the small rider. Her eyes narrowing in displeasure.
Vonth, benefiting greatly from his position behind the rider, delivers crushing blow after crushing blow. And while the rider is unable to resist his pushing attacks, Vonth discovers that she is more or less has the reins tied around her wrist.
Vonth has pushed the rider out of the saddle and she now dangles from the side of the wyvern. Blood pours down her arms from wounds in the shoulder. Another solid hit and she's probably done for.
((Will wait until rider's turn to see what rolls if any Vonth will need))
((Marrin is up))

(I mean... I never even rolled for the second grapple but... Sure. Ok.)
Athletics - 18 so Vonth is unable to maintain Schrödinger’s grapple on the rider.
Athletics - 13 so Vonth is able to clench his thighs and ride the pony through the barrel roll.
