'Idiots!' is Khessa's furious thought. So much effort to make them escape, to give them a chance to escape, towards freedom, towards a new life ... And how do they exploit this unexpected opportunity? Acting on their own, arguing, seeking suicide fights... The blonde warrior can't understand them. But she understands that whatever fate awaits them now, they have earned it.
"Don't follow their example!" she urges the others "Stay with us! Let's stay together!"
Then, she erases Ront, Prince Derendil, Buppido and the Twins from her mind and attempts the plunge to safety, directly from the walkway.
Khessa feels a sharp pain when she finally hits the surface of the water, but the relief of no longer being a prisoner and the invigorating cold of the underground river make her feel more alive and determined than ever.
With a thrust of the kidneys she avoids an ejection of the gray ooze and immediately she swims rapidly towards the shore, together with Traydark.
'Did I dream it?' wonders for a moment, while she is swimming, the tall adventurer 'That voice in my head that said 'Flesh for the Faceless Lord'?'
'Of course I only imagined it!' decides the blonde warrior, sometimes swimming underwater, both to be less visible, and to better wash away all the dirt left on her by the drow prison 'since when did oozes use telepathy?'
Once ashore, free, cleaned and armed, Khessa feels like a new woman. She does not even realize that, because she is still unarmored, the water-soaked clothes are adhering to her body in a way that reveals, rather than hiding, her underlying forms. With a dazzling smile, she stands ready to reach out and help the other fugitives out of the water as they arrive and direct them to Traydark. As soon as everyone is there, the blonde (and wet) warrior queues up, pushing the group towards the western tunnel, heading towards Sloopludoop as planned.
Ebzer gratefully unlocks his manacles and collars, rubbing his wrists where they have chafed under the iron. He quickly locates his greataxe and other equipment and stows them in their proper places. Following the others, he leaps for the web.... and misses it completely, flailing wildly and tumbling down directly into the pool far below (taking 2 damage). Surfacing after a moment, gasping for air, he manages to dodge the glob of acid the ooze lobs at him, and rushes from the pool, cursing.
Coming across her belongings right away, Katryl swiftly dons her leather armor then fastens her rapier around her waist. She then grabs her back, collects her daggers, and is ready to move on. She only makes brief note of the others fighting, then makes her way to the edge of the walkway. Only then does she hesitate just a moment as she sees the spiders going after the twins. Sparing a precious moment, she calls forth fire into her hand then hurls it down amidst the spiders. (If needed, Attack: 11 Damage: 3 fire)
She then leaps from the walkway directly into the water (DEX Save: 7) and swims to try to avoid the ooze (DEX Save: 20).
Hitting the water hard, Katryl at least manages to dodge the slimy monster. She too pulls herself from the pool, looking now back up at where the giant spiders were located. "Silas jumped in to try to help the twins."
"Bad decision" Khessa comments grimly as she helps Katryl out of the water and hears about Silas from her. "I start hearing voices of oozes in my head... fugitives who have the opportunity to save themselves do instead practically everything to make the escape fail... I don't know," she wonders "there must be a sort of collective madness that is threatening everyone".
"We discussed a plan. I warned everyone that anyone who endangered the fate of the group would be abandoned" sighs the blonde warrior. "And what do Ront and Derendil do as soon as they are free from their chains? They fight each other! Attracting the attention of the guards! They were to be left to the fate they had chosen with their stupid decisions! But Buppido and the Twins know better... don't they? They go and try to divide them! A good-hearted but senseless act. What chance did they have of succeeding? And in fact, they end up in cobwebs. Infested with giant spiders. Only one of which would probably be able to put us in trouble, ill-equipped as we are and with the rush we have to escape before the battle between the drow and the rest-of-the-world is over! But there is not only one giant spider, there are quite many! We could have gone and tried to save our 'peace makers'. But we would have simply risked getting eaten or recaptured, the all of us".
"When I tried to plan our course of action with all of us and had recommended a certain line action," is frustrated by the many useless (and unnecessary) casualities the tall adventurer "it was not for the will of domination... but to ensure the best chance of survival for everyone! And behold, now Silas takes pity and runs to help the spider-hunted. I'd like so much for him to succeed and for all the four of them to arrive safe and sound... but I fear that he is only growing the chain of reckless actions - and its victims".
"Anyway, now we can't go back up to help him even if we wanted to..." Khessa tries to evaluate what she can do in concrete (i.e. unfortunately not much) "I'll wait to see if some of them manage to finally dive and reach us. But if we'll be seriously endangered, everyone's salvation comes first, we will have to escape. The opportunity we have got is unrepeatable. If an individual chooses to do as he pleases, he might have his reasons, reasons that I might or might not understand or approve... but he still cannot then expect everyone to die for him".

Coming up on shore, the noble drow looks around quickly, making sure there are no demons heading his way, trying to hide if there was. Perception: 5 Stealth: 11
He would then try to gauge the situation, seeing Khessa, Katryl and Ebzer joining him. At Katryl's short report he looks up and groans as he sees Silas and the twins still in the web high above. He tries to spot any giant spiders closing in on them, ready to cover them with his eldritch magic. "I don't disagree Khessa..." Traydark says, turning briefly to the now soaked blonde. "...but the catman and the twins might still be useful to us."
"Not only can they be useful," Khessa sighs (thinking 'Why he must always speak about people like they were items to use?'). "They're fugitives, like us. I'd like I could help them. But there's nothing I can do for them from here. And if the drow or their enemies come for us... well, I think we'll have no choice left but to retreat. But if you, unlike me, have the means to help them... do it!"
Having gathered and adorned his things, Silas, seeing the twins in peril, attempts to leap into the web to help them.
DC 10: 4 (nat 1) and additional d20: 13
As you go to help the Twins, your foot slips, making you tumble off the edge and land sprawled out in the webs and are currently restrained. The giant spiders have already pinned the Twins though you can tell now, and your heavy landing in their territory has drawn the attention of a couple more who begin to make their way toward you. As they get close though a sudden blast of fire rips through the webs and sends them skittering off a ways. (Make a DC 12 STR check to pry free if you want. Or attempt another way to free yourself. You are 30 feet from the waterfall and pool btw)

Ebzer raises an eyebrow at Khessa. "Youngling," he says, "there be much more to leadership than orderin' folks about 'n then complainin' when they didna do what ye wanted. Trust has to be earned. Ye have two ears and only one mouth fer a reason."
He then looks up at Silas' and the deep gnomes' predicament. If a spider gets too close, he will attempt to cast a javelin at it. (Range 30/120)
"Oh, I guess everyone will always be free to do as they see fit..." Khessa mutters, maybe more to herself than to the dwarf "... I just hope that the results they get will be to their liking".
(@DM: How far are we from Silas, roughly, by the way? Just to have an idea of what range an attack will need to have to be of any help)

"As long as we agree they can be useful Khessa." The noble drow quickly responds with a wink at the tall soaked blonde. His own dark garments still soaked with water, Traydark then turns to face the webbings far above, uttering a harsh word in an unknown language, making a quick flick with his hand and unleashing a beam of purple crackling eldritch force against the giant spider closest to Silas.
(Well, go figure: Khessa has a Rope, Hempen (50 feet)!
@DM: Since Silas is in a position over solid ground... it is safe enough for Khessa to go below him, throw the rope up, making it stick into the webs, then climb up to help the Tabaxi? No enemies that can come in the middle and attack her while she has her hands busy climbing?)

"Sure they are" she winks back. "They have earned my trust already..."
'How far will the distance be?' tries to estimate the blonde warrior by eye. Traydark's Eldritch Blast can reach the spiders... but what else can?
"Ah milady," thinks Silas, "you've tricked me again. If I survive this, it will make a great story. If I don't, I'll get to tell it in your halls."
He takes his dagger and using it and his claws, attempts extricate himself from the webs without falling through.

(You can certainly try. :) There are guards looking now though and demons flying about, plus the spiders that have only been temporarily turned away)
