By the group picking a number it allows me to give you a direction. The adventure at this point has servel different location.
OOC: So we are just supposed to pick a random number? I assume they mean something, otherwise it would be "roll a d4 to see where you go next"
Did I miss a post or something that tells us what the numbers mean?
I m with Nerd_Ferguson on that one. Killian will make a decision based on info he can get. He wouldn't do anything random. For example Killian would advocate going across the Lake and straight to the road leading to Haven. Even if they don't take the roads it would be the safest way if not the quickest.

OOC: I thought maybe the numbers were marked on the map linked earlier, but I don't see them there, either. If that's where we should be seeing them, then maybe that part of the map is still accidentally hidden?

Breenie shivered, soaked to the bone from her tumble into the lake. As the boats finally took them beyond the reach of the goblins, she scanned the far bank, looking for any signs of trouble in that direction.
Perception: 6
As she did so, Breenie attempted to untangle the jumble of half-heard conversations from the course of the evening.
Goblins and seekers and… That blue staff. And Haven.
Breenie glanced from face to face. She didn’t trust her memory of individual conversations enough to think she’d gotten the full picture of what they needed to do next. But she trusted each of her friends and knew they’d come up with a good plan. Killian had a naturally steady temperament and a deep-seated practicality that had always struck a chord with her. When he spoke, she nodded her agreement.
Teclis in a difficult attempt to speak to everyone in common
"Many Soldiers north ... too many goblins soth...suth..." ...looking away angry at himself... he points in the direction of south.
In elvish he speaks to Maisor and Breenie
"Wherever we end up I recommend we camp and rest we all could use it. I can start a fire and give us some warmth."
At that moment he winces in pain and grabs his side where an arrow cut through him from before. Taking a knee in the boat he covers the wound. Trying not to show his pain.
EDIT: Deleted the last post and reposting so it fits in the story (Teclis posted as I was reading and mine didn't make sense after his).
Maisor watches as Solace disappears into the mist rising off the lake as they get farther and farther away. His face is sullen before he looks 'round to the others, a slight smile appearing as if there the whole time. He looks at Teclis and nods. "If we're going to get these two to Haven, the logical choice would be to head north now. What do you think, Killian? Wherever we go, we need to bind our wounds, get some rest, and I need to pick up some armor." He flaps the wet lapels of his beautiful coat. "This costume provides zero protection against anything pointy."
Hands gripping the rough wooden oars Lorival looked at her companions. She saw confusion and fear mixed with determination and awe. She imagined her face must look the same as well. The blue staff! It must be some kind of powerful relic from before the cataclysm. But what was a Barbarian, even if she was a princes, doing with such a holy and powerful item?
She sees the pain wash over Teclis' face and takes a mental note to get her healing kit out when they reach somewhere safe.
"I' all for Haven, but we need to be careful. Those goblins said they worked for the High Seeker, are they one and the same as these Seekers in Haven?"she responded to Killian's musings. "If so we are going to have a bad time when we get there if we're unprepared."
She screwed up her face in thought and frustration, "Though seeing the situation we are in, do we have any choice but haven..."Lorival continued to row, cold and wet, her robe heavy on her shoulders. She smelled like weeds and mud and was starting to feel thoroughly miserable.
"We need to get somewhere safe and dry, then we can figure this mess out. One thing I do know is that fate has dumped this in our laps, and we have to make sense of it if we are going to survive."

Teric's head was still swimming. Why were goblins and hobgoblins running Solace?
Yet somehow that wasn't the most shocking thing he had seen today. Had the woman really healed them. Only the gods granted such powers, but the gods had turned away from this world long ago. Regardless of anything else, it seems vital they protect this woman and find out what this all means.
Seeing Teclis take a knee Teric makes his way awkwardly next to him.
(OOC: I'm a battlefield medic Lorival, I've worked in worse conditions! :) )
"Please, if you will allow me." Taking a knee next to him Teric pushes Teclis back against his knee giving him a good view of the wound. Pulling a paper packet from his pouch, he rips it open with his teeth and pulling the wound open slightly dumps the fine powder into it. "This will help with the bleeding." His other hand retrieves a wad of cloth and presses it tightly against the wound holding it there while he pulls out another thin strip to tie it in place.

Haven.
For a split second, Breenie forgot about goblins and everything else. She’d be going home—or at least close to home. She only hoped they wouldn’t find the same kind of trouble there.
Hope we don’t bring trouble with us.
Breenie nodded to Killian. “The elf said a lot of things earlier. There wasn’t really time to stop and translate. Once we find a place to rest, Maisor and Lorival and I can probably help sort out what all he knows.”
Breenie glanced toward Lorival, feeling vaguely guilty that she hadn’t offered to help row.
“I wholeheartedly agree about staying off the road. Once we’re ashore, I can try to find a good spot for us to camp.” Breenie nodded toward Teclis as Teric worked on him. “Maybe the elf can help, too.”
Once they reach shore, Breenie will stealth and attempt to locate a secluded off-the-road spot for them to make camp.

Breenie was tempted to stay awake even though two were already on watch. But despite Riverwind's healing, Breenie still felt an itchy sort of ache where the arrow had struck her. Resting would be the smarter action.
Besides, the elf seemed more inclined to speak politely to Teric than to anyone else, including the half elves. If anyone was going to get something useful out of Teclis, maybe it would be Teric.
"Me too," Breenie murmured as she settled in to sleep until Teric woke her. "I'll keep watch with Maisor."
While she was at it, she could perhaps find a chance to ask Maisor, in private when he maybe wouldn't be too embarrassed to speak of it, about his financial situation. Armor was not exactly cheap, and it wasn't Maisor's fault the goblins had interrupted his attempt to retrieve his.
