The dwarf nods to Liavyre. "You can call me Durran. This is my apprentice, Skolla." Skolla grunts in recognition. "Still getting the hospitality bit down. Anyway, if you'd prefer no meat we can replace it with more vegetables, not to worry. The crops have grown well recently, so we have a good store." Durran takes the five silver pieces, then takes a key from below the bar and hands it to Liavyre. "Yours is the third door on the left when you head upstairs." He tells Liavyre, then turns to the others. "If the rest of you would like feeding as well, we'll bring it over to your table in a few moments. The first entertainer should be on soon if you're after a bit of entertainment."
Up to you guys if you want to mingle with the crowd and chat, or have a quiet evening and pick back up the following day, when leaving Sun's Last Light.
"Boar sounds just right to me, maybee with that wine you mentioned? Oh, and would you happen to have another room for a lady?" , Thea smiles and displays the silver on the table. She turn to the rest of the group. "Dont get me wrong, I'm just a little agitated after all that running..."
Liavyre thanks Durran for the special request of no boar.
After eating her meal and once she's had a glass of wine she musters enough courage and says to Durran and Skolla, "Oh, I suppose it might be good to give it a try. Very well, I'll play."
She waits her turn, whenever that might be, nervously adjusting her lute and triple checking that it's in tune the entire time. Once on stage, she gives no introduction, just gives a slight bow and pulls up a wooden chair to sit in.
With a knot in her throat and seeing multiple faces staring at her, she almost thinks this can't be real and experiences a minor panic attack, but does not give away any cues of it. With a large gulp, and exhale, she starts strumming notes from an Elvish song from her early days on her first hunt at night as an apprentice.
Performance 12
Her nerves are a bit shattered, but she is just proud she didn't trip over her own feet and fall off the stage.
She sits at the bar,"Miss Skolla, more wine..." She places 2 silver pieces down. "This much... please"
She drinks her 5 glasses and stares blankly at the bar.
Durran nods, taking the 5 silver from Thea and passing her a key as well. "You'll be next door to your elf friend there, fourth on the left upstairs." He says.
While the group takes a seat and waits a few minutes for their food to arrive, there is some applauding coming from the back end of the tavern. It appears their first act, a human man in colourful clothing, has stepped up to perform. He takes out a lute and begins to sing along to his slow melodic tune. He isn't too loud so it is harder to pick up on the finer parts of the song so far away in the tavern; it is probably why the back end was filled up so early.
After the applause, Liavyre heads up to the stage, the group goes quiet as the elf takes her seat to play her tune. She begins to play her tune, the crowd keeping eerily silent during the entire performance. As she reaches the end of the song, the crowd applauds for her as she heads back to her seat. When she orders her next drink of wine, she finds that it has already been paid for. Apparently a patron in the crowd appreciated her song and offered to pay for her drinks for the evening.
The food is brought out, as several cut slices of roasted boar and garnished with a mixture of herbs and vegetables. They seem like decent sized portions for each person, ensuring that they will not go to bed hungry. The meat is a little dry, but still brings that salivating feel of a well earned meal.
Liavyre gulps down a glass of wine in one go then asks Durran, "Who paid for my drinks?" as if she's mildly suspicious if it and scans the crowd. She eats her vegetables pretty eagerly, as if she hasn't eaten fresh vegetables in a long time. Her fork trembles a bit as she eats and her wine glass does the same. It appears making such a public display was quite rattling to the nerves.

Durran chuckles. "It's not uncommon for a person here to pay for the performers." He replies. "Just enjoy the drink, missy. The people here aren't all bad."
Canary tries tracing back the sender of Lia’s drink, but a mute in a yellow feather suit doesn’t make the best sleuth, and he gets absolutely nowhere except for staring mildly uncomfortably at the barkeep.
Durran furrows his brow slightly as Canary's unconventional meandering. "Are you alright, little master?" He asks, inspecting the yellow clad halfling. "Your friends are waiting to dine with you."
Performance: 1 (heyyy, that’s a reroll thank god) 15
The bald albino yellow small man stares uncomfortably for a few more seconds at the barkeep, before heading to the table his friends are at. He digs around in his pack before retrieving several long bones of several different species, and a mallet.
He heads to the stage as soon as it’s clear, and sets up the bones in a semi circle around him on some type of wooden board. He gives a slight tap to one of them, and a deep bass notecrevirabates through the tavern. Once he has gotten everyone’s attention, he starts for real. At first the beat is slow, high pitched, slightly ominous. There’s a twitch every few notes, a deeper sound, that gets louder and more frequent with time. It sends shivers through those listening, and suddenly the beat goes wild and crazy. Loud bass notes clash in a fast tribalistic beat. This is the most animated any of you have ever seen Canary, he has the ghost of a smile on his face as he smashes the mallet down on the bone. The impromptu melody ends with a high key death keel, and a satisfied less frantic bass note. The hunt is complete, and Canary packs up the bones and exits the stage without a look towards the audience.
Thea decides to take a seat next to Liavyre. "Wow, who taught you how do play like that? I used to play a bit myself, but i always felt uncomfortable in front of others...was that your first time playing on a real stage? Because if it was, you did an amazing job right there." She gives Liavyre an encouraging smile and starts eating. Thea takes a sip of her wine, noticing the elf is already having her third, but ultimately deciding not to say anything.
She nods in acknowledgement to Durran and does as suggested by drinking her wine.
Liavyre is completely facinated by using bones as viable instruments and she studies Canary's movements very intensely then writes something in her book. She claps at Canary's performance with a big smile on her face then says, "Absolutely beautiful music and quite creative. You'll have to teach me how to play them—I enjoyed it very much. Also gives another use for saving the bones of an animal." The slight redness to her cheeks suggests she's mildly inebriated, but is being genuine in her remarks.
Liavyre is happy that Thea sat beside her and says, "Oh, you're too kind. It wasn't that great of a performance—I'm just a hunter and tracker, not a bard. I was taught in my early days by my master of the hunt. He played every evening. He taught me to hunt and how to play. It's just a tradition of mine that I like to do every evening—plucking at the lute. But, yes...it was my first time on stage and quite nerve rattling, worse than some hunts I'd say. Though the wine helped some with the courage to do it. Thank you for your kind words. Do you have any hobbies that you enjoy?"
The wine seems to help her open up a bit, as well as the endorphins released after the mildly traumatic experience of being on stage for the first time.
Liavyre says to Ragmin, "I don't think I did my old melody justice, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. You're too kind Ragmin."
After a brief pause she says to no one in particular, "Anyway, that Pip fellow better show up at the gate, I have a feeling he was hiding something when he left us, and it didn't involve letters. It's strange that our guide would leave us alone in a foreign city."

The applaud for Canary is more hesitant, the patrons unsure about the eerie musical styles of the halfling. As the group begins to continue the meal, Durran pops over with an additional drink for Canary. "It's on the house." He says, giving him a smile.
There are a few more performances through the night. One tale regales the history of Allhaven, and how it was chosen by Pelor as the sun to shine through the darkness around them. "I'm with you on that one. It doesnt sound right to just leave us somewhere in a tavern, especially if most of us have never been here. I never felt at peace in Sun's Last Light, and now that Pips gone we probably wont be able to see that stonecutter he mentioned and ask him about those weird rocks we found in that snake. Even after delivering those letters, he could've dropped by for a moment. Well, whatever. We can't help it now.
