Thea rushes back to Pip, while eyeing up Ekmong whos retrieving the container. "Yes, but that was a close call. And now we need rest more than ever, but with 2 dead fiends lying around i believe it wouldnt be wise to take a break..."
The group knows it isn't far now before they can reach the scouting tunnels by Giant Steppe. As the fiends' are mentioned, the group sees that their bodies are disappearing, leaving small scorched symbols on the ground. This is no surprise to the group, as they know that The Armies Of The Lower are never truly killed when slain on the prime material plane. Their essence is dragged back to their plane of origin and they begin to reform there, ready to be called back by another servant of The Army Of The Lower.
The group continues along the path they took to get there, finding the hidden passage that leads to the tunnel they used to bypass the majority of Giant Steppe. crawling through, having to push the box and Pip along, the group eventually gets back to the rest area they found on the way in. It is a small cavern, about thirty feet in each direction; just enough space for people to place bedrolls and rest.
"Looks like a good place to rest for a bit. Perhaps more than just a bit even... Shall we take turns keeping an eye out?" Ekmong says, glad to be out of danger for now.
(I'll let you guys sort out some watches. Since Ekmong is a new member of the party, I'm not sure if the others will want him to take a watch on his own.)
"Yes, we must rest here. I will take the first watch." Fjorgin looks suspiciously at Ekmong, but says nothing else for now.

(are we taking Lia and Ragmin into consideration for this?)
"Very well, i'll join too, but i believe i wont be able to live through a shift if i don't get some rest first. If that's fine for you, wake me up somewhere at the end..." Now rubbing her eyes with a big yawn, Thea's young age once again becomes terribly obvious.
Ragmin and Lia can cover the last two watches then...
The group unfurls bedrolls and begin to rest. Pip is placed onto his to recover.
Towards the end of Fjorgin's watch, Pip begins to stir. He appears to be slowly recovering (Pip: 1 HP) but shouldn't move until he's rested more. He seems quite annoyed that his bed is setup beside Ekmong's, still not trusting the tiefling. However, his fatigue means he curls up and returns to his slumber.
The remainder of the watched continue uneventfully. The quiet cavern in this scout tunnel is eerily peaceful for the locale, where giants roam and demons, devil, and drow threaten then land at every turn.
Awakening after the rest, the group feels revitalised, and ready to head off again.
(Congratulations! You are all level 5! Feel free to complete your level ups before we get moving.)
“Now that I haven’t killed you on your sleep or slipped away during the night or caused whatever apocalyptic mess has happened out there, can you all stop judging me by my horns... that’d be nice.”
Fjorgin prays to Pelor, thanking Him for for aiding them throughout their journey and praising His glory. As he does, a golden light appears, which coalesces into a celestial warhorse. The divine steed looks at Fjorgin, eyes bright, and rears up. Fjorgin stands, gently caressing the beast, then with one smooth movement he mounts it.
"Shall we get going?"

(You might want to wait to do those prayers for when you're not crawling through tunnels :-p )
Making their way out of the tunnels, they find themselves secluded behind the thick foliage that hides the tunnel entrance from the giantkin that live within Giant Steppe. This area has a fair amount of flora, quite different from the deadlands the group just travelled through. It also appears to be reaching dawn, as the party can see the first glimpses of sunlight arriving over the mountains.
Fjorgin's prayers are blessed with a magnificent steed, a warhorse with a pale golden coat. It lowers its head as a bow to the paladin, letting him know that Pelor is watching over them and has sent him a steed for the road.
(The horse can conveniently have some saddle bags, should you want to laden it with the silver box.)

Fjorgin's javelin falls short of its mark, the ape monster's outline still attempting to flee away from the group.
Ragmin brings up his hand again, praying to Pelor to smite this fiend.
Sacred Flame vs. Ape #1: 15 vs. DC 14 DEX, taking 8 radiant on a failure.
Once again, this ape monster manages to escape the divine flames, slightly limping in its attempts to flee.

Ekmong rushes forward and shoots his crossbow once more wishing he could get 10 feet closer:
Attack: 9 Damage: 8 piercing.
(Oops, forgot about Faery Fire and rolled with disadvantage, so here’s another attack roll for your consideration: 10)
He will then return to the silver container’s side at his earliest opportunity.
(I'll take the roll used in the disadvantage. Your attack was 23.)
Ekmong steps forward, launching the bolt at the glowing outline of the ape monster. It strikes into its back, making it stagger. (Ape #1: 61 damage)

END OF ROUND
Thea goes for the only trick she has left to engage in long range combat.
Mind Thrust (once again INT save of 15) - DMG: 9
Ape's Intelligence Saving Throw: -1
The ape somehow manages to shrug the mind attack once more, as if it has shut its mind from Thea.
Liavyre aims with her bow, loosing an arrow again.
Longbow vs. Ape: 20 vs. AC. Hit: 10 piercing damage.
The arrow strikes into the back of the neck of the ape monster as it falls. (Ape #1 defeated: 73 damage)
You may drop out of initiative at this point.
"Good work, everyone." Fjorgin says, as the blade of light retracts into its hilt.
(Nevermind, no more healing from Fjorgin today.)

"Agreed. You carry the halfling and I'll carry the box" Ekmong says, smirking.
