Hearing the struggle a floor below her, Nivi goes into full burglar mode. On purpose or not, crew's setting a diversion, no denying. Got to move quick.
Unsure of whether the unbreathing Baron Wachter slumped on the bed will suddenly arise as an undead assailant, she sets Shiv to watch him for any movement or other change. (The owl has a Passive Perception of 18 using Keen Hearing and Sight or 13 using other senses).
Meanwhile Nivi searches the room as quickly as she can for any clues as to where the Bones (or anything else interesting) might be. - Behind the painting - Within the fireplace - Paneling of walls for more secret entrances - Inside the closet - Behind the mirror - Among the curtains or window sill - In the covers or sheets of the bed, taking care not to disturb Baron Wachter's figure.
Perception: 15 (or if it has to be Investigation, then the roll would be 10, +2 instead of +7).
(If the above is her Action, to the extent it helps, her Bonus Action is to dash and move quickly, using Cunning Action).

Jack makes his way to the northern door, ignoring the combat entirely, or atleast seeming to. The door is a little off the ground but not so much that he can slip under it with his body. His head managing to get through enough to see This room holds crates of old clothing, as well as three barrels of drinking water, two empty wine barrels, and one full wine barrel. The wine barrels are emblazoned with the winery name, the Wizard of Wines, and the wine’s name, Red Dragon Crush. Nothing of note is within the room, beyond that - atleast from what he can see from his current position. he was lucky on the kitchen door, but it seems the rest of the knobs are proper turn spheres.
Nivi seeing that the ruckus is getting real down below, decides it's best to hurry along while everyone is distracted. Shiv keeping an eye on the unmoving, bedridden male. Nivi checking the fireplace first, and spotting a key hanging from a hook. The painting moves easily enough to reveal a normal, if slightly deteriorated wall. The mirror copies the painting in how mundane the wall behind it is. The bed contains only the (mundane) secrets of the mans body beneath the sheets. The closet contains shelves of fancy footwear and many fine garments, including a black ceremonial robe with a hood, and, on a high shelf rests a locked iron chest.
Wachter looks furious as the two bear down on her, knocking her down, locking her down, and then gagging her with garments that likely haven't seen water that didn't excrete from the body for at least several days... almost gagging on the gag. With nothing else to do but struggle against her bonds.... ( Break Manacles: 11 ) Original: 4
Try as she might though, she is stuck fast.. she was not a physically strong person.
"Did you think I would let you walk free after you confessed your alliance with the devil?" Beren growls as Watcher struggles, then gives a nod to Moira since she was the one who did most of the work. He still can't shake his anger after his screw up earlier, and very nearly lets it out on the two fools who just tried to attack him and Moira without much success. He reflexively moves away from the oncoming firebolt, forcing himself not to flinch since scalding heat is something he has to tolerate on a regular basis. The flames are enough to fuel his anger further however, and he turns his fiery gaze on the new enemies.
The light behind the mask flaring as he utilizes his Conquering Presence (DC 13 WIS). This should affect Wachter and the two staff members. "Surrender, if you wish to keep your lives."
He'll have little to no mercy for these people. Not when they serve Strahd.
Wachter reissts the effects, and one of the staff, apparently so fanatical in their loyaly, ignores it almost entirely. The chef and the other staff however begin shaking with fear and terror at Berens terrible presence. Meanwhile, Wachter - gagged and grappled glares daggers at Beren, with promises of retribution. The other staff who had overcome the fearful compulsion seems to be preparing another spell... Wachter and this one atleast, seem to be unwilling to give up currently.
Moira is up.

Ola keeps her grip on Wachter tightly, unable to avoid the green blade that the staff person hacks at her with, and she bares her teeth, staring him down. "We seek only to reclaim what was stolen. You heard my lord. Stand down, or we will not spare your lives." As at least one of the fellows falls back before the terror of the Sunshine Knight, Ola narrows her eyes at the stubborn one. Maneuvering one of her hands, she points a hand at the fellow who is preparing a spell (Staff #1), and whispers, "Ashes to ashes... and dust to dust..." A sound like a somber bell fills the air around the brave and foolhardy servant.

Only to then duck, just as a firebolt sails past his head, intent on striking Beren. ( Attack: 7 Damage: 3 )

A brief shiver ran down Jack's spine as the sheer conviction of Beren's words washed over him. For a moment he even dreaded the idea of crossing the man's path. However, stymied as was with a proverbial dead end before him, he mustered his courage after pulling his head free, and then scurried along back the way he came, aiming to get to the dinning room across the way. Although remaining unnoticed stayed the name of the game for the Eladrin, knowing one could only hug the wall and scurt the edges of conflict for so long, he was prepared -- nay, ready to hurry to reach at least his destination, trusting Moira and Beren to still have things well in hand.

Sounds like the party's just getting started downstairs... got to get a move on...
Nivi/Karl snags both the key hanging from the hook in the fireplace and the black ceremonial robe in the closet, putting the latter in her pack as potential evidence of the Wachters' apparent devil-worshipping ways. Whether the 'devil' is Strahd, or actual devils like the Imp that had attacked her and the devils Wachter sought to associate with, described in the treatise penned in her name that Nivi had earlier taken from the secret room.
Holding the key from the fireplace in her invisible Arcane Tricksters' Mage Hand she attempts to check whether it seems like the right size for the locked iron chest in the closet. If so, she stands back and uses the key to try to open it (pulling it down from the high shelf if needed with her own hands).
If the fireplace key does not open the chest, she similarly tries the other keys in the butlers' key ring. If none open the chest, she uses her Thieves' Tools.
Thieves' Tools check with her Mage Hand [ONLY necessary if none of the keys work], rolled as Sleight of Hand (same +7 bonus): 10
As Nivi does all this with her Mage Hand, she positions herself so she is hidden from as many angles as possible, behind a closet door, entrance door, or side of the bed, in case anyone else enters the room (bonus action hide using her Cunning Action).
Shiv continues to keep an eye on the sleeping/dead Baron Wachter, warning Nivi the instant he notices anything.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jack quickly runs between, under, over, or around the cluster of people in his way, taking full advantage of his tiny size. And as he is a cat, and everyone is in a melee bundle, they do not care to swipe at him, though a few brief audible reactions can be heard as he makes his way through. Achieving his goal of entering the other room, if only by dint of luck that Lady Wachter had left the other door ajar, as closing a door was beneath her station.
In Nivi's case, she is lucky she is so damn perceptive because that key indeed works the lock properly. And once opened, the chest would reveal it had a rather nasty trap within it as well. She couldn't be sure, but it was one of the most rare and potent toxins in all of Faerun mixed in the trap. The Wachter patriarch suddenly.... remains still. As idle and immoveable as he was moments ago. The iron chest is lined with thin sheets of lead and contains two entire sets of bones. One set cleaner than the other, but from two different people. And Nivi cannot tell who or what at a glance. Probably not even if she checked, she might need help from someone else to make a determination. Also within the chest, is a single, perfectly cut gem in that odd mixture of yellow and orange. Though she cannot tell what specific precious gem it is.
Wachter once again, strains against her bindings and her captor, hate and fury seething on her visage. (Escape: 2 )
(original - 2)
Wachter is unable to break or slip the manacles despite her best efforts. And knows she wouldn't be able to get away fast enough to make a difference. But despite her gag... she smirks as she hears two more pair of footsteps coming towards the group from somewhere else in the house, not yet seen.
As Olamoira struggles with the man cutting her with the knife to keep her grapple on Wachter, her eyes narrow. She says to Beren, "These devil worshippers have stated their allegiance... we may righteously destroy them."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Beren growls. Favored by the archdevil? The wickedness here runs deep, and the only option now is cut it down by the roots. He notes Watcher's expression and the sound of more footsteps. The light behind the mask flares when Olamoira says they may rightly destroy these wicked people. He was planning on doing that anyways, but knowing she will hold nothing against him brings a measure of relief that surprises him.
"Evil is not capable of mercy," he says to (staff 1), he emphasizes this by striking with his sword at (staff 1 or whoever is in range). The poorly aimed fireball only adds fuel to his anger.
Attack: 6 Damage: 6
This is different than when Luvash asked him to behead Argual and Bluto. These people make no secret and show no remorse for their devil-worshiping practices. "For those of you who take pleasure in serving the devil, and harbor no remorse or shame for your actions, I see no path to redemption."After completing his attack, he shifts the point of his blade to Watcher's throat before tilting his mask to Olamoira. "If we truly wish to destroy this serpent, we must sever its head. Without its head, the body will fall."The tip of his sword presses closer to Wachter's throat. "I see no use in sparing her, not when her capture will lead to her execution anyways."Not to mention they'll have to fight their way through the staff members regardless of whether or not they keep Wachter alive, plus, it makes little sense to kill the underlings but let the master live.
He turns his blazing mask back towards the staff members, "Or shall we instead test your loyalty? Surrender, and we may spare your mistress. Surrender, and we will ensure a fair trial for all of you. Or are your sins so great that you see no hope for release once you are captured?" Whether there is such a thing as a fair trial in this place, he doesn't know. Considering Luvash's actions, this very well could end with all of them facing beheading regardless of whether or not they surrender now. Still, in spite of his burning desire to simply rampage through the house and purge the place of evil, he has to consider the danger it puts the rest of the group in. It will do them no good if they all end up surrounded with no way out.
Olamoira continues her steely glare leveled on the staff members, her gaze filled with fury. She still holds onto Wachter, while Beren's blade presses to the woman's throat. She nods in agreement with Beren's words, her posture, and resolve, stiffening at his comment about cutting off the head of the serpent. "You must make your choice very quickly,"she says. "Time is running out for the wicked." Then she whispers a prayer, freeing a hand from her hold for a moment to draw a gesture in the air, and a soft, silvery beam of light seems to fall out of nowhere onto Staff #1 from the vaulted manor ceiling above. The silvery light brightens, casting Staff #1 in a white glow.
Casting Moonbeam to center on Staff #1, with a CON saving throw of DC 13.

Never given the chance to reply. (please roll your damages too!)
Staff2 watches in horror as Staff1 is devoured by divine energy. It's at this point, that Moira and Beren realize they are dealing with a cult of fanatics.. willing to fall on their swords for their mistress.
Staff two screams in guttural fury. However, she soon smirks. Casting Sleep (hp pool: on Nivi's sheet: 20) And soon Moira finds herself sound asleep. Beren remaining unaffected (has Beren taken no damage?)
Staff2 screams out You shall learn your places interlopers! Your bodies shall become the coin upon which we feast with.
