Despite all temptations to put halfling nimbleness to the test in body surfing or slipping past some worms, Obsben instead tipped back her, lowered her stance, and adjusted her grip on her dagger in taking on a more defensive posture in anticipation of warding off further attacks. "Keep it coming, little cuties. But ya mess with me, and ya get chopped! Ain't that right, Neya? "Obsben said, giving Neya a bit of an encouraging wave of the dagger.
Feeling this is not the time to hold back, Graxx bursts into a rage and attacks the closest enemy recklessly. The first slash is delivered with tremendous force, and the second finishes the job. (Grub#4 takes 64 magical slashing and radiant damage and is DEFEATED.)
Coming along for the ride and probably feeling the spray of grub guts, Obsben decides she will do just fine by assuming a defensive stance for now. But who said she has to do it silently? She yelps a few words of encouragement to Neya(Bardic Inspiration).
On the other side of the waterway, Utar tries to intimidate the enemies with a show of force. He swiftly introduces his two assailants to Lightbringer, but the hits fall short of scaring them. (Grub#1 takes 14 magical bludgeoning damage; Grub#2 takes 11 magical bludgeoning damage.)

After hitting a passing grub, Neya turns to refocus on the one she had been taking care of. (Grub#5 takes 9 magical slashing damage.)
Her next three attacks bring the still-stunned creature close to death, but they fall short of translating into a kill. (Grub#6 takes 19 magical slashing and bludgeoning damage.)
The nearly dead creature has had enough. No longer stunned, it wiggles toward the wall and begins retreating up. Its four companions who are still alive continue to seeks a fresh meal:

Utar employs his shield even more efficiently this time, but Obsben cannot avoid all of the tentacles trying to smear poison on her skin. Some of the poison is absorbed into her skin and she soon starts feeling more than just a little ill. Neya only avoids it due to Obsben's vocal interference (reference). I think it makes sense to say that Obsben wouldn't be able to continue dodging if she is paralyzed. Utar's armor seems invincible now. He spares a thought to the blacksmith who forged it. Neya's and Obsben's conditions are worst. Both warriors are unable to move as carrion-mashing teeth begin to much on their flesh. (Neya takes 7 piercing damage; Obsben takes 11 piercing damage.)
-> Before she got paralyzed, Neya would have a chance to perform an opportunity attack against the fleeing enemy who was stunned until recently, though that condition was already out of play at the time of this potential reaction attack.

Reaction: Using last Bardic Die for Cutting words vs Tentacle Attack Roll to Neya, reducing it by 5 and turning the hit to a miss.
Time almost seemed to slow for Obsben as the buggers tentacles menaced not only her, but were dangerously closely to getting to Neya too! But either out of confidence or arrogance in being able to whether any assault, she shouts out a word in draconic filled with malice and an echo of dragon fear, startling the creature assaulting Neya just enough to throw off its aim. She's able to grin briefly afterwards for a second before her whole body goes rigid from the poison, leaving her frozen with a more twisted expression.

(@Drache: Escaping grub had taken the dodge action, so your opportunity attack was supposed to be at disadvantage. Here's a second roll: 19.)
Neya doesn't let the hurt grub get away. With one more quick slash of her blade, she puts the creature out of its misery before it can reach the wall and start climbing up. (Grub#6 takes 10 slashing damage and is DEFEATED.)
With two other attacks, Graxx puts another grub down. The first slash opens a gnarly wound, the second cuts something important within. (Grub#5 takes 58 magical slashing and radiant damage and is DEFEATED.)
Obsben is left to deal with the effects of the poison in her bloodstream, but her antibodies soon fight back. (Obsben is no longer poisoned, paralyzed, or incapacitated.)
Utar continues to split his attack between two enemies, hurting both a bit more. (Grub#1 takes 12 magical bludgeoning damage, Grub#2 takes 9 magical bludgeoning damage.)
The hoard now thinned, Neya focuses her next attacks on the remaining grub on the northern side of the spillway. She lands two hits, one with her blade and with with a spinning kick. (Grub#3 takes 20 magical bludgeoning and slashing damage.)
The creature fights back, as do the other two confronting Utar:

Utar's defenses fail this time around, but his constitution does not. The same cannot be said about Neya. The poison does not hurt her too much initially, but the paralysis effect still goes though. Still a touch shaky from her coming out of her paralysis, Obsben finds her way a little closer and a little southward, but could go no further without losing breath. Nevertheless, she finds the words to point at the furthest worm and call out to it, "There once was a worm from Waterdeep, who everyone thought was a Tripy Creep.
