The man is a middle aged half-elf in scale armor. He has short black hair with hints of gray showing through. He is wearing an emerald ring on the hand he holds his sword. The rider looks at your crew with a mixture of anger and disgust. "Yes, yes, yes," he snarls pretentiously "What do you all want?"
Garth laughs out loud, "If you help everybody the way you helped us, then you need to rethink your ways, lad. More likely you're just common bandits, murdering anyone that comes by." As he speaks he moves to inspect the fallen enemies, checking for signs of life.
The rider responds by sticking his head up. While checking the other two, they both don't seem alive, you do notice a piece of paper sticking out of one of their boots. You grab it, and it seems to be a map of Red Larch and the nearby hills, with one of the hills being marked with a large "X" labeled "The Spire".
Kalhiri prods the captive with her spear, "What's this? What's at the cross on that map? The spire? Is that the name of your soup kitchen for the people in need?"
In his most naive tone, Fadimumbles to Pyre-winder: "Wait, what if it's true and some so-called adventurers are causing trouble around?". He tries to have this conversation without interrupting the party member interrogating the vulture rider.

Winding down from the sky Pyre-Winder lands, " No sign of any more of them."
He cocked his head at Fadi, " Then we will find them as well."
He approached the captive, " Your companions. Did they have any particular beliefs? Would you like us to inter them or will others of your group come and fetch their remains?"
He approached the fallen vultures as well to determine if any of the birds still lived and needed release from their suffering.
Mainly the riders were being attacked, not the vultures, who flew away a while ago. When asked about beliefs, the rider seems to be surprised you're asking. He seems almost touched. Almost. "Well if you intend on releasing me, I'll deal with them. Their bodies will cremated and offered to the sky, where they belong." He gazes at the clouds wistfully for half a second before snapping back to reality. "Do you have anymore questions or can I leave?" He finishes bitterly.
Garth looks at the rider, "I've got a question: Why did you attack us? And don't give me any clap-trap about so-called adventurers. We're travelling on the free roads and did not warrant an attack." He looks at the bodies on the ground. "Did it ever occur to you to hail us? Ask us our business?"
Garth lowers his bow slightly, then looks to see what Pyrewinder will do next.
Kalhiri approaches the rider with spear and shield ready, “Hold there, don’t move.”

Pyre-Winder continues circling above like a vulture...

Fadi approaches. "What do you want? You attacked us, say your reasons."
The half-elf keeps the look of disdain on his face. "Too many nosey adventurers would stop us from helping people." He says with a scoff.
Garth laughs out loud, "If you help everybody the way you helped us, then you need to rethink your ways, lad. More likely you're just common bandits, murdering anyone that comes by." As he speaks he moves to inspect the fallen enemies, checking for signs of life.

Pyrewinder kept watch for any reinforcements incoming.
Perception: 10
"Stay away from Feathergale Spire." The captive says through gritted teeth
"Don't you want that we escort you to your friends? Who knows how many ill-mannered adventurers you might find on the way if you go by yourself."

( Ah, misunderstood. Roger that.)
Pyre-Winder turned to look at the others, " He is free to go as far as I am concerned."
The half-elf shrugs, "I don't know who any of you are, I was ordered to do this."
Garth's eyes just bore into the elf, "Ordered," he says slowly. "And which daft bugger gave you those orders? We might need to have words with them."
He think for a moment, as if decided whether or not to tell you, before saying, "Thurl Merosska, leader of the Feathergale Knights."
