"Ah, now we've got a name!" Fadi says, to Garth, satisfied with the results of his talk with the vulture rider. "To Feathergale Spire, then?!" he asks the party, excited.
Garth stares at Fadi, trying to understand their enthusiasm for rushing to the home town of those they had just slain, against the wishes of the sole survivor. Eventually he clears his throat and turns to the remaining warrior.
"Well ... it seems we should consider this a ... ah ... misunderstanding then? If so, then carry this message back to your leader: We mean no harm to the denizens of this land and only come seeking answers to questions."
Kalhirireplies toFadi, "I'm not sure that's a good idea. Hurrying into their fortress, I mean. We were looking into the disappearance of a delegation. We don't know if they have been brought there. I think we should continue to look for signs of their disappearance. A large group might have left some tracks or indications of what happened to them."
Pyre-Winder, the trail is well traveled and finding tracks would be hard, but you manage to spot a set of footprints of human and horse with a few wagon tracks right behind in about the size you think the delegation might be. After following them for about an hour, you find something. On a barren hilltop a few miles from where you were, you find four freshly dug shallow graves. The earth scraped out for the hole is piled nearby, although hastily gathered stones cover the graves. The faint smell of death hangs in the air.
"This doesn't look like an attack by monsters... do you think bandits would take their time to dig those graves?" Fadi asks the group, confused by the scene.
Garth pauses as he comes upon the graves, then starts cautiously to circle the area. He tries to make sense of the scene, asking Aelin to indicate anything that looks out of place from his unique airborne perspective. He is looking for signs of survivors and the direction in which they went. He also tries to recall the footwear of the warriors that they fought earlier, wondering if any of the tracks match theirs.
Tracking/Survival: 17 (in log, rolled twice for help from Aelin, but second roll was worse)

Pyre-Winder was lost in thought,"Graves? These are not graves. Look at that trenchwork....its barely symmetrical...and you can't just haphazardly stack stones like that."
" I mean...sure, theres a certain rustic charm to the entire lopsided mess...but this is going to collapse the moment any of these edge stones are removed....a scavenger could get into this very easily."
" And they are not even remotely deep enough....can you smell that?"
He trailed off, shaking his head.
" Gray cloak? Any markings on that?", he asked those who had gone closer.
Kalhiri takes in the scene while listening to her comrades. "Someone was fighting here. I agree that bandits would not likely bother to dig graves. Perhaps the delegation fought them off at first?" She begins to investigate the battle signs and tries to find out roughly how many people were involved and then which way they've set off afterwards.

At the first sign that he can leave without being shot in the back, the half-elf begins scurry away.
(( @DM: Didn't they want to bury/dispose of the bodies on some appropriate way which, I think, some people were offering to help with ? ))

( I think he said he would return with others to do so. Pyre-winder will clean them up quickly and put them in state.)
"Oh, I see... you're right..." Fadi says, ajusting his excitement to a better suiting level.
Does anyone have anything else they want to do before heading back to Red Larch?
Kalhiri takes her pack, puts her shield on top and shoulders it, "Let's find that delegation, shall we?"

Fadi unties and ties his hair back again. "Right behind you".

Apologies everyone, I misunderstood the conversation. if you are looking for clues on the delegation, you could make a survival check for tracks.

Pyre-Winder moves to inspect the graves, though his professional eye is overly critical of their construction.

The surrounding hilltop is littered with broken arrows, a discarded javelin and a tattered gray cloak.

Fadi stares at Pyre-winder while he talks, both admiring his passion and knowledge for the subject, and being entertained by his overthinking.
He then checks the cloack for anything that could be informative: tears that may be associated to some kind of weapon, emblems, crests, or so on
