Zim
As Zim waited outside the room glancing upon the teachers blades, the brunette elven woman had come out the door. Her hair was almost shimmering under the fluorescent light of the hallway. She had bumped into Zim for a moment, the teacher had followed behind coming to the doorway. She had offered a light chuckle as she brushed her hair behind her long knife ear.
"Oh hehe, sorry about that I should really watch where I am going! Nice to meet you! The name's Celena I'd love to stand and chat but I'm hoping to get a front row seat at the assembly but if you're here to sign up I'm sure I'll see you!"
She had offered a somewhat casual bow as she held her textbooks to her chest before pattering off. The teacher, Roger Williams as it were had offered Zim a rather friendly smile his Yarting still in his hands.
"Hello, my you seem quite the handsome young elf! Wait.. Those ears you're a half elf too huh? Guess that means I won't be the only one than. Are you truly here to sign up? If so.. Allow me to ask you this. Do you feel it? Feel you're hearts passion? A blazing heart ready to soar?"
He had taken a step closer as he offered a rather glowing smile to the young half elf.
Kuro
9
(Linda insight roll)
Linda had looked at Kuro inquisitively for a bit her head tilted ever so slightly before giving a slight shrug. She had begun to walk down the hallway with Kuro. (If Kuro doesn't contest her insight or can't beat it with deception she will do the following under listed under a)
A: Linda is able to see the kid is a bit uncomfortable offering a somewhat knowing chuckle, it was clear in her bright eyes that she could relate with such a situation. She had seen a lot of herself in the young boy she had stayed a reasonable distance so that many students wouldn't be able to discern that she was indeed leading him to the gymnasium. She didn't wanna embarrass the poor boy on his first day of school after all. After a few twisting hallways she had made it outside of the school building, the gym itself had it's own separate building it had appeared. It wasn't long before she was able to lead him toward the gym most of the students were gathered now it was clear it wasn't long before the assembly would be starting.
B: (If she can't read him) She will lead him through the hallways a glossy look over her eyes, a few students had looked over a few times but no one had said much. She was close to Kuro but though a few looks appeared somewhat judgemental? Kuro could tell from how blatant some of them were that.. Well a few in lettermen jackets were very clearly checking Linda out. (Even if she keeps distance he can see this.) And some of those boy had appeared a bit jealous even to have her walk beside him toward the gym. (This is due to Kuro's higher than average passive insight by the way) it wouldn't be long before she had made it to the gym with the young Aasimar
Zephyro
It seemed Zephyro had studied many of the practical aspects of martial arts, he did know OF Ki but maybe he hadn't fully understood it. He certainly couldn't manuplate it but he knew it was tied to all living things and even though it was spiritual it wasn't in fact magical. (Despite you rolling low I'd imagine he'd know at least that. ^^) as for master Jungqwol there was a blank for a moment. The name of the Shogunate that ruled Sumia had a similar name but what would that have to do with martial arts? As for traditions he knew there were many but hadn't had the spare time it would seem to study them. No thanks to his families focus on politics it seems. Still despite the lack of answers Danny had put his hands on his hips smiling.
"Honestly kid I started off the same way! Actually I probably knew even less than you! I didn't know anything.. About the world or martial arts but I felt this.. Strong connection pulling me. For awhile tavern brawling made me feel alive but eventually.. It fell flat ya know? Master Jungqwol's teaching really turned my life around honestly. Heh, I'm sure ya don't wanna listen to some old guy ramble on about his life! It'll be much more exciting to learn through practical means I'm sure! You're probably eager to get out and punch something! Haha! I can feel it around you too.. The pull of Ki the flow of yin and yang. You're closer to using Ki than you realize.
He had stretched his arms out before stretching both of his legs out before looking toward the door with a long sigh.
Yeah go ahead and get some food, than we got that boring old assembly jeez.. Wish we could just skip the damn thing honestly.
(He has time as he rolled high athletics ^^ so you too can gain the inspiration)
Zahira
Arthur had blinked as a heat began to blossom around his cheeks his smile turned into a rather surprised expression. Himari had put the sleeve of her kimono over her mouth giggling lightly. The boy had rattled his head a bit shaking around before offering a warm chuckle. He had wiped under his nose with a gleaming grin.
"Heh, you really caught me off guard! As a paladin I'll have to be more aware! Thanks though, I-I mean.. Well heh aww well you know! Not every day a cute girl calls you attractive right?"
Himari had rolled her eyes a bit clasping her hand over her forehead as the young man laughed loudly with his hands on his hips. He had caught himself a few looks, either he wasn't aware of them or he didn't care it was hard to tell.
A cute girl? Jeez.. You just met the poor thing Arthur. Are you that kinda guy?"
"Huh? What kinda guy?"
Arthur hadn't payed attention to Himari long as Zahira began to explain what kinda Genasi she was. He had gotten a little closer, his eyes glistening with curiosity.
"Air Genasi? Does that mean you can fly? I hear the guy who runs the ice cream shop is an air genasi! Are you two related? Ahh gee was that rude? I think you're really cool! Cobble was pretty cool too so I wonder if all Genasi are just interesting? Oh! You're from Burguss too...?"
His smile had vanished for a moment upon hearing her birthplace. but it wasn't long before his eyes had fluttered back upon her own. Many people lose eye contact in conversations breaking it a moment here or there but Arthur whoever he was talking to he had always eagerly met their eyes. He hadn't break eye contact with Zahira not once until her mention of Burguss that is. Zahira had tried to recollect on their surnames, Himari's name doesn't really mean anything to her but Arthur's? The Chevalier's had a reputation in Burguss the head of the Chevalier's had lead the paladin's in Burguss during the great war. Gawain Chevalier was known as the divine shield of Burguss though she couldn't recollect his children she knows he has more than one. She does at least know who Gawain is and because of his deeds the Chevalier family have a massive reputation in Burguss. However in this town? It seems kids who were raised here or from other places.. That sorta thing hadn't mattered. Many weren't clamoring to Arthur in any sorta way. They say White Haven was a fresh start away from the world's nobility at least for the most part. It seemed most of the teenagers nowadays weren't exactly concerned with who was noble and who wasn't. Unless a student actively studied some things, Zahira herself of course was rather studious.
Arthur had smiled when she told the two she would be seeing them.
"Of course! I'll be sure to text you later!"
"Heh, and I as well it was a pleasure to meet you."
OOC After everyone's next post we can time skip to the start of the assembly or if you're ready we can start at the assembly up to you ^~^
(Lol, I was kinda hoping he'd fail that. :D It was a close one anyhow lol.)
As he walks along he keeps his hood up and his eyes focused on the path ahead of him. If he ignored everyone around him maybe they'd ignore him in return. Noticing the reactions of some of the students, he rolls his eyes just slightly and considers quickening his pace---but that would likely just draw more attention to himself, so he decides against it.
"Heh, well I guess that means I won't be to far the other students then eh? I might even be a bit ahead of them!" The young elf jabs his right fist into his left palm and smiles wryly. "And to the contrary I'd love to hear about your life experiences. I'm sure I could learn a lot from them. Though it will have to wait until another time." He turns towards the door and laughs. "Fortunately, I'm used to boring meetings. I'll see you later!" Waving to Danny, Zephyro leaves for the cafeteria.
As he walks he wonders if Zahira already made it there, she had been the only other student to actually talk to him so far, so he'd feel rude if he walked into the cafeteria and didn't bother to look for her. After grabbing his food, he looks around the tables for the genasi.
Perception: nat 20 (Guess Zahira's real easy to spot!)
Easily spotting Zahira, Zephyro makes his way over to her table and sets down his tray. "Hey! Glad you made it here just fine! Heh, I barely made it to my classroom in time to sign up then come here and grab a bite!"
(If Arthur and Himari are still here) He turns to address the others at the table, holding out his hand for Arthur to shake he says, "Hello! My name's Zephyro."
(If they aren't there anymore) The young elf takes the seat directly across from Zahira and starts on his food. After a moment he stops, "Oh! Before I forget."He pulls out his crystal. Zahira's own Chrystal vibrates a few moments after. If she looks at it the text simply says. "This is Zephyro." Putting his crystal away, he looks back at her and smiles, "I forgot to give you my contact info. Now you have it!"
Zahira smiled brightly. The day had started in a very rushed manner for her, but it was turning better and better for the moment. The fact that Arthur didn't react bad at all despite her rather impulsive comment made her think that he was indeed a very nice guy and the genasi was happy to have made his - and Himari's - acquaintance.
- Hmmm, not flying exactly, but I can levitate - or make someone or something levitate - up to about ...- she thinks for a second - ... twenty feet for a few minutes. It's pretty useful! I'll show you guys someday! And don't worry haha I don't think I know the guy at the ice cream shop, but you've certainly piqued my interest. And I do love ice cream... haven't eaten one in a while. As a matter of fact, you've just given me an idea! My little brother's birthday will be soon and a think ice cream will be a nice addition to the gift my uncle and I are preparing for him.
She looks a little worried when Arthur's face changes at the mention of Burguss, it seems she's touched a string he's not very comfortable with. Zahira gets the feeling that he was afraid she would treat him differently because he's from Burguss. But it's just a glimpse and Arthur quickly puts that feelings away. It's seems hardly the time nor the place to ask about it so the genasi keeps following the conversation and laughs cheerfuly again at Himari's comments. Geez, Zahira really likes these two and feels so lucky to have met them. She could have worse luck and end up meeting less likeable persons, but with them and Zephyro se was being truly lucky.
Curiously enough, as the three of them were talking, the genasi girl came to the conclusion that Himari's curious skin tone was due to the fact that she was a changeling, and she wondered if there were many like her in the Academy. It was possible that there were more but had hidden their appearance. Himari, on the contrary, hadn't done so, clearly showing the skin and hair colour common to their race. Se had only seemed to alter her eyes a little bit.
All of a sudden, Arthur appears at the table and Zahira greets him:
- Hey, Zephyro! What a perfect moment for you to appear. Arthur, Himari: this is Zephyro, who I just met a while ago while searching for my classroom - she turns to the elf and says - Glad to hear you were able to sing for the monk class. Oh, yeah, thanks! I did forget to ask you for your contact. There! Fixed! I'm happy that I got to meet you all, guys - she smiles warmly to all of them - Himari and Arthur were just leaving, but I can wait for you till you finish your breakfast before heading to the gym, Zephyro. No rush!
Zim bit back what he had originally thought to say. If this was to be his instructor, he needed to show him respect and learn what he could from him before the year was over. The events of the morning flashed before his eyes.
"Um, yes actually. I feel as though my heart has already done a bit of soaring already today. Though, I fear I may have been unable to escape picking up an enemy along the way. Hey Teach, it seems as though this assembly might be about ready to start." Zim tilted his head in the direction the girl named Celena had gone. Perhaps if he indicated in his look that it was the girl he was wanting to go after, this hopeless romantic in front of him would let him get out of here until he can come back to sign up later. "Shall I come back right after the assembly?"

Kuro
After making it to the gym Linda had offered looked to Kuro, it was strange how the two had such bored expressions it was a palpable amount of apathy radiating from the both of them. Upon entering the gym she had offered Kuro a small wave before setting off, there were many rows of seats in the gym. It seemed the very back row was reserved only for the teachers. There appeared to be 14 seats one for each teacher.
It seems most of the teachers were in fact present. A podium had been placed and beside that podium was a dragonborn carrying a large exotic blade.
Put your spoiler here.
(Appearance Above)
It seemed there wasn't long before the assembly began, many students could be seen in little clicks, even many first years had friends due to junior high it would seem. Possibly leaving Kuro as an odd man out in this situation. There was lot's of talk scattering about. (Perception for more) things such as the recent drama. As well as many talking of who they were gonna party up. There was very little tactical discussion but more so who'd they'd rather hang out around.
Zephyro
Danny had laughed as the young elf jabbed upon the air, he had a wide grin to the boy's excitement. Though he seemed sincerely surprised about him wanting to hear about his past.
"Haha, never met a first year who's thought like that before! Many are eager to get into the action! Though being eager is important to a monk there is a lot more to understanding than swinging are limbs about. I think you may already understand that virtue however, I believe patience is important but never let that patience dull you're fighting spirit! Hah! Used to boring meetings huh? Well get used to some hardcore work outs instead! See ya later kid!"
With that Danny had begun to head out toward the gym, he had however started down into a full sprint!

Zahira/Zephyro
Arthur had listened eagerly as she explained her ability to make something levitate a sparkle of wonder in his eye's.
"Yeah! It'd be awesome if you levitated me one day! I wonder what floating feels like.. Like swimming? Except in the air I wonder? Nah probably different, aww a gift for you're brother? That's really sweet! Ice cream for a present would make me happy! Course you couldn't send him ice cream you'd probably take him out right?"
"Pfft of course Arthur, she's not gonna gift wrap some ice cream jeez. Also I can't believe you thought she was related to Flurry just cause she was an air Genasi.."
"Hmm? I hope I didn't say anything rude if I did I apologize!"
Arthur had rubbed the back of his head with a hearty laugh before Zephyro had came to the table. Himari had somewhat meekly greeted the new comer as Arthur waved just as enthusiastically as he had too Zahira.
Nice to meet cha! The name's Arthur! Arthur Chevalier! This here is Himari!"
"O-Oh hey.. Nice to meet you Z-Zephyro!"
Himari had looked down a bit nervously as she planted her eyes to her crystal. It was odd but at the same time something about Himari was somewhat familiar to Zephyro yet at the same time he'd never seen that face before. Arthur standing up had offered Zephyro a warm smile.
"If you want Zahira, you can give Zephyro my number too! It's like I was told growing up.. Strangers are just friends we haven't made yet right?"
Himari had remained rather silent as Arthur smiled toward Zephyro. Himari however was examining Zephyro rather closely it seemed.
16
(Her perception)
Himari could even be seen and somewhat heard casting a spell of sort's. It didn't have a rather large effect whatever it was (Arcana or Religion check even up to you.)
2
Whatever it was she had resumed to studying Zephyro carefully.
"Heh seems Himari's got the hots for the new guy! Well let's go before you stare him down! He is pretty good looking!!"
"W-What..?! No it's not like that! Jeez.. It's hard to explain.. Gods.. Arthur you're gonna be the death of me."
Her oddly pale cheeks had begun to flush red for a moment as she began to puff her cheeks out before huffing with a rather loud sigh. Arthur had let out a loud laugh waving off the other two before him and Himari had begun to set off to the gym.
If Zephyro had chosen to get only the free food and it was anything besides fruit? He would realize the food was.. Rather lack luster to be sure.
Zim
The teacher had chuckled a bit as Zim looked to the young woman.
"She is quite the exotic beauty isn't she not? I've noticed you looking! As an artist I'd love to draw a portrait of her. Though I must say.. You too would make a fine model for such a painting surely. Heh~
He had smiled strumming a few notes on his yarting before he continued to speak.
"If you wish to sign up afterwards you may, I've always been one to choose passion over the rule's. It isn't paperwork that ties us to the finer arts yes? It's of course passion that drives us! Every great act in this world has come from passion hasn't it not? Think in history.. Most great men had accomplished something to impress another haven't they not? I wish you luck in finding a party that meet's you're own charms and passions! Fare thee well fine sir!
And with that Roger had begun to strum his instrument further waltzing down the hallway with a spring to his step. Before he began to hum lightly.

Assembly
(This will be for when the whole party makes it here. But this isn't to rush any roleplaying/convo you're characters are in)
As the others enter the assembly they can see much of what Kuro had before. Whispering and many rumor's (perception roll) with many clicks deciding which party they would like to join. Some had even complained that the limit to a party was four to six, wishing for greater numbers still. It seemed now that all 14 teachers were ready. The dragonborn beside the podium had come to stand upon the podium. Some students had noticed and stopped talking but most had continued right along causing the gym to be rather noisy. The dragonborn had dug through a satchel of his pulling a scroll out upon using the spell it had crumbled. With that he had opened his mouth his words now booming rather loudly.
"NOW IF I MAY HAVE YOU'RE ATTENTION STUDENTS!"
With that there was an air of silence, the dragonborn had straightened his suit out before clearing his throat to speak once more. His voice still enhanced by the magic but now he hadn't screamed so coarsely. His voice was loud and concise but no longer deafening.
"Thank you, for those returning I welcome you back. For those just coming to the Rising Dawn Adventuring Academy allow me to introduce myself. I am Giovanni Skywing I will be serving as you're vice principal. I'm sure you know that all of you're parents were to sign wavers coming here, though first years aren't in too much danger we can't take into account all the dangers of adventuring. For those entering you're senior year you're allowed to take on some real adventuring work. Of course if any wish to reach that status sooner they are allowed to take Dragon Seal Exams to prove they are ready for such a thing. I wish you luck this year and without further ado I present to you the principal Silas Forthright.
And with that the dragonborn had stepped off the podium only for a puff of smoke to appear upon the podium. Revealing an older gentleman in a rather silky robe.
Put your spoiler here.
(His appearance)
It had appeared he had a beautiful ornamental tea pot matched by a small little tea cup. He had begun to poor himself a cup as he deftly began to cast a spell on himself before speaking. His voice enhanced in the similar manner that Giovanni's had been.
"Ahh dear students I'd welcome you to the academy but it seems my old friend Giovanni has already done so. Let us get to brass tacks shall we? What does it mean to be an adventurer? Are you a soldier? A sword for hire? A hero of justice? A violent vigilante or a rather a simple criminal? It can mean all of those things or none of them. It is up to you in the end to take those skills and do what you will with them. The skills that you will gain in you're time here. Though in this world one does not achieve greatness alone every great hero has always become so with the aid of his closest comrades. Ahh yes, a party now what is a party I ask you? Is it a group of armed individuals ready to fix you're problems with necessary violence? Surprisingly in some situations that is the case."
He had taken a sip from his tea before shaking his head lightly, his voice was calm and regal and yet his expression was rather strange and perhaps even a little silly.
"Blegh, let me tell you this is absolutely dreadful. Where was I? Ahh yes a party, a party is a collective really. You do things you could not alone, perhaps you have someone who can pick locks and though the police may not agree with such a skill believe you me it is a useful skill to have in many situations. Or maybe you have someone who can really bring on the pain as they say. Or one who can stand to the front withstanding the harshest punishments the world has to deliver. Or one to restore you're vigor and vitality once all that you have is spent. Think about you're weakness's and let you're strength's serve the party but that does not mean of course you cannot serve yourself. To be an adventurer is to follow you're own ideal, to be you're own soldier to you're own cause. Many may see that as selfish but trust in my words when I say.. The world of Spiral would not be the same without us. Knights and the police are all well and good but you my children are the spark that may set the world right."
He had begun to take another drink only to be reminded by the awful flavor, he had rather abruptly thrown the cup behind him shattering it to pieces as he cleared his throat to carry on once more.
"Allow me to say this, the greatest magic there is.. Is the magic of chronomancy. The magic of time, through time you will be able to endure whatever is throw you're way. Through time we grow, through time we heal. Of course through time we age, well at least some of us do! Haha!"
He had begun to stroke his beard with a hearty fit of laughter before looking over the stadium of students.
"Remember you're teachers are here to guide and aid you, but in the end how far you make it is not up to them. Maybe it isn't even up to you're grades! How far you make it children, is up to you. Push yourselves, and in time when you come to reflect upon yourself. To look upon that mirror of introspection you may indeed me surprised to see who is staring back at you. I'd wish you luck but to hell with luck! To hell with throwing you prayers of safety, nay I say to you.. Make you'e own luck and go.. Go and kick some ass!"
He had shouted the last bit rather abruptly before vanishing off again in another puff of smoke. Many students had begun to murmur and talk upon the old man's ramblings. Some had seen him as an old geezer who loved to talk. Other's had found him to be.. A bit strange and perhaps even unhinged but most of the senior's were only silent during and even after the speech at least for a few moments. They strangely had the least to say about the old men, it seemed very few first years had actually enjoyed his speech. This had left the dragonborn to come to the podium once more.
"Of course the old wizard forgets the important announcement.. Here you will be forming you're party. For the first day of school you may wander about and tour the school and get to know you're party. Trust is essential in you're groups, so feel free to wander the gym and talk among-st yourself but no one is to leave the gym until a party is decided. Also know that a party may not be less than four but it may not be larger than six either. There is safety in number's but you're party shouldn't feel like a small militia after all.
And with that.. The students were all off! Talking among one another eager to form the parties with those they knew well either from junior high or from years past.
OOC It's crazy I had Linda as a teacher before ever knowing Kuro for this world so I think it's interesting they are both pretty lazy/bored xD
So go ahead and form a party! There is room to technically grab two NPC's but at the same time that can wait till later too. It does mean splitting loot up into larger groups so sticking with just the four of you may prove to be the most profitable route!
(He would have bought a whatever the most popular dish was. Let me know how much it cost!)
"I like the way you think Arthur." Zephyro starts before recognizing the boy's last name. His smile quivers a bit as he tries to maintain his previous demeanor. "Are you serious? Out of all the people I could have walked up to... Well, at least he's friendly enough." He thinks to himself. Noticing Himari studying him, he feels even more uncomfortable. The girl seems oddly familiar, but he doesn't recognize her face.
Insight on Himari: 8
Arcana to recognize the spell: 6
Once again, he feels the heat rise in his cheeks as Arthur continues talking. As the two walk off, he pushes his glasses back in place, causing the light from the cafeteria to reflect off of them, momentarily obscuring his dark blue eyes. Why was that girl looking at him like that? Had he met her before? If so, why didn't he recognize her? As he sits there eating his food he looks a bit distracted as he's lost in thought. Sighing internally, he thinks "Well, I hope he's still friendly after he finds out I'm supposed to meet his sister. Hmmm. If Zahira does give me his number, maybe I should text him and let him know what's really going on."
Blinking, he remembers that he's literally still sitting in front of the genasi. "Oh ah, sorry my mind was starting to wander a bit. Thanks for waiting for me. Hey! If they are letting us choose our party members, would you want to join mine? I'm not actually from around here, so I don't actually know anyone yet."
Kuro watches Linda leave, giving a small, almost unnoticeable nod rather then pulling a hand out of his pocket to wave back. What was the point?
Once the teacher leaves, he scans the room. This was not the kind of environment he wanted to be in, but there was nothing he could do about it so all he can do is find a place to sit down. With a huff, he seeks out the emptiest corner he can find and claims it for himself. Doing his best to block out the rabble around him, he pulls out his notebook and begins sketching. He hardly glances up when the Dragonborn moves to the podium, instead distracting himself with his sketches. He listened, sure. That was easy, and likely necessary. After all, it wouldn't do to just ignore everything that is said on the first day and then hope to somehow get through the next day. Though, after meeting his soon to be teacher, he isn't sure if she'd really care whether or not he was oblivious to everything around him.
When the old man takes the stage however, he does spare a glance upwards if only to note how...lame he sounds. ...wait, what was that about danger? Kuro begins drumming his pencil between his thumb and ring finger...of course Father would throw him into a place that literally throws him into danger. Does he want him to die? He lets out a huff, shrugging and returning to his drawing...which was slowly taking the form of a party of cats surrounding a sandwich that's laying on the ground. Though, these cats all stand on their hind legs, and one of them is wearing a belt with a sword attached to it. He is just adding the finishing touches to the absurd drawing (an elderly cat with long whiskers holding a teacup and hissing at the one with the sword), when the old man yells his last sentence. The sudden change in tone drew Kuro's gaze upwards again, and he raises an eyebrow as the elderly man suddenly disappears again. "What did Father get me into?" He thinks dully, turning the page in his notebook to give himself more drawing space.
He lets out another huff when Goivanni announces that they can't leave the gym until after forming a party. ...Great. Kuro glances around, noting how the numerous clicks already started forming their own groups. ..Maybe if he just stays where he is everyone will group up without him and he'll be left without a group. Would they let him leave if no one wants him in their party? ...probably not. They'd just assign him to one of the smaller groups... oh well. At least then he could just ignore them.
He stays seated, starting up another sketch as the students around him hurry to form parties.
(OOC: Lol I was thinking the same thing! Its perfect :'D. )
(Hopefully someone will notice Kuro, cause he's going to avoid interaction for as long as he can lol.)

Arcana for Himari's spell: 18
Perception to hear what people comment in the gym before the speech: 21
Perception again because I've liked Arthur and Himari so much I would like to consider them for our party (as I'm with Zeph I don't have to look for him as well, I guess!) 7
Zahira is about to reply to Arthur that indeed, she will make him levitate someday - with a rather mischievous grin showing of her face - when he suddenly mentions taking her brother out for an ice cream. And for a moment, the genasi girl is out of words and she just stays there silently waving while he and Himari finish talking to Zephyro and leave.
She then sits, waiting for Zephyro to finish his breakfast. When the elf looks back at her apologizing for being a bit absent, he finds the genasi girl in the same state, just staring silently through the window next to them.
- What? Oh ... sorry. I lost myself a little there two, haha. Of course, I'd love to! And we could ask Arthur and Himari, don't you think? I've liked them both a lot. Speaking of which, here are their numbers - she shares their contacts with the young elf, which of course include their full names. Zahira could be as bustling as a changing wind, but she sure was tidy and her contact list was proof of it.
- Are you finished then? Come on, let's go!
In the gym, Zahira claps excitedly when Skywing and Forthright end their speeches. While adventuring was not her main interest for attending the Academy - that being learning as much as she could to improve her toys and whatever she could do to improve her little brother's life and condition - it sure sounded fun. Also, she was accustomed to working with her uncle, and wanted to expand the concept of teamwork to include more people than just the two of them! So she felt motivated and rather energized. Also, she burst to laugh almost to tears when the old wizard just threw his cup away. The girl even had to put her hands on her mouth because she had been a tiny bit too loud.
After the speech, she grabs Zephyro's arm without a second thought while saying:
- Come on! Let's ask Arthur and Himari, yes? There they are!
She is about to reach them, with the poor young elf almost attached to her (unless he tries to slip away that is), but before getting next to them she sees they are with two other people. She also realizes she hasn't waited for Zeph's approval:
- Oopsie, sorry, I think I got too excited. Would you like to form a party with them? Perhaps you had someone else in your mind?
Zephyro gratefully puts the contacts into his Crystal as he quickly finishes his food. He barely has time to put his tray away before Zahira rushes off to the gym, much less answer her question.
He claps along with the genasi, grinning as he does so. Are all the teachers here this charismatic? This school sure is nothing like the formal learning he had experienced up to this point, and he wouldn't have it any other way. He wonders if his parents were even aware of this fact when they decided he should enroll here. Once the speeches are over he stands up and starts to say something but is cut off when Zahira suddenly grabs him and starts hauling him towards Arthur and his click. When she pauses to wait for his answer, he takes a moment to collect himself. He doesn't particularly want to be in Arthur's party, but he doesn't know how to explain that to the genasi. "Well, I--Uh. I don't have anyone else in mind...like I said, I'm new here...but I was kinda thinking we could see if there's anyone else here that's in the same boat ya know? Arthur and Himari have already been here so they probably have a group in mind...not that I don't like them, I just figured we should see if there's anyone who needs a group but is just doesn't know who to ask?" He laughs nervously, "If there isn't anyone who needs a group, then Arthur's party can be our backup... Unless you really want to be in his party."
Now that he isn't being dragged around by his arm, the young elf looks around for anyone who looks like they are having trouble finding a party, and tries to listen in on the conversations around him.
Perception: 22 (Another nat 20!)
Looking around frantically, Zephyro notices Kuro sitting off by himself. "He doesn't look like he has anyone yet. What do ya say we ask him?"
- Oh, that is so thoughtful of you... You are right, Zephyro - she shares a slightly regretful look for a moment, more because she hadn't thought that herself than because she might be loosing the chance of being in Arthur and Himari's party - How stupid of me. I really should try to think a little more before acting, shouldn't I?
Ashamed as she is right now, she just let's Arthur lead the way to whoever could be in need of a group.
Leaving the classroom with a sigh of relief, Zim headed in the direction of the Assembly Hall. With each step, a random scene from the morning flashed in front of his eyes. What had the instructor said? That Zim might make a good model for a... portrait? He shuddered. What on Spiral was he going to do? His mom presumed that he was going to get bullied for his pedigree; a foolish, foolish little ditty out of his lips had stirred up a crazed mob; some jock half-orc looked at him like he wanted to eat Zim for lunch; he just had to skip breakfast; and lest he forget, there appears to be a good possibility that his instructor is UNSAFE for young people to be around!
Zim felt like he needed to speed-run the rest of this day if he were to survive it at all! A wave of hysteria overcame him, and he let out a soft half-sane giggle. His face had only shown his exasperation for a brief moment before he regained his composure however.
Entering into the Assembly Hall along with his thoughts, Zim moved automatically to a corner row of seats. He didn't look for anybody. He couldn't really see anyone at all. Everything but the first vacant pair of seats that he had seen when he headed toward these rows was simply a blur of colors.
Sitting down wasn't much of a relief either. These school gatherings always seemed to take forever to start! Zim didn't pay much attention to anything specific from the sea of people talking. He just let it wash over him for the most part. He did peak out of the corner of his eye to see if he recognized anyone from this morning, but he stopped almost before he started. Just as he was about to break down and turn his head to see if he could maybe spot the horned youth from earlier, the assembly began.
The vice principal didn't really have much to say, but Zim really liked listening to what the principal was laying out before them. Yes! That was exactly how Zim saw it too! He had to be the one to make his way through this school and beyond. A party though? Hmmm. Before the speech was over, Zim decided it didn't matter who he teamed up with. After all, he was going to need to work with countless different kinds of people if he was going to be successful.
As other students stood up in search of friends to team up with, Zim remained in his seat. He had no idea where to begin. It wasn't long before he saw that another sat in a seat not far from his own who also didn't seem very moved to seek out a group aimlessly. Maybe if he was at least paired up with someone, they could find another pair like them. He called over to the boy,
"Hey, you there in the hood. Want to pair up? The way I see it, it get's us out of here quicker."
Kuro takes a moment to realize that he's being spoken to, and lowers his notebook. The current drawing consists of a room full of chickens...
He glances up at Zim, his bright green eyes scanning the young bard... oh gods no. This was that kid who'd made such a scene outside. Why would he be asking Kuro of all people to pair up? His face remains passive as he stares blankly for a moment. Then he asks quietly, "What happened to your little fan group?" While the words may be a bit rude, his tone is... more monotone then anything really.
While Zim is right in saying that finding a group would get them out of here faster, Kuro can't help but feel like this was some sort of joke. From what he saw outside, Zim didn't seem like the kind of person who would have any trouble grouping up with some of the more popular kids. Why would he want to waste his time with Kuro? And, even if he is genuine with wanting to pair up...did Kuro really want to be stuck with someone who attracted so much attention to himself on the first day?
The young elf feels a pang of guilt after the genasi speaks. It had not been his intention to make her feel bad. Not knowing how to make the current situation better he simply smiles and says, "Great!"
Turning back to look at the boy in the hoodie, he realizes that another person has approached his target. The half-elf who had whistled that miraculous tune. However, the two will still need a couple more party members. The minimum is four after all. This is perfect, if those two accept his offer the four of them will have successfully formed a party.
Wasting no more time, Zephyro leads Zahira over to the two loners. "Hey you two! You look like you are in need of a couple more members. Well, so do we."He gestures to Zahira. "My name is Zephyro, and this is Zahira."He looks at the half-elf, "I liked your song from earlier by the way. It was fantastic!" Then he glances down at the hooded boy's sketch book, "And your drawing is...interesting."

OOC
After everyone's next post we can time skip to the start of the assembly or if you're ready we can start at the assembly up to you ^~^
Kuro Deception: 11
He maintains a rather bored and tired expression throughout this, not really caring that much about what she thinks of him.
Before I forget." He pulls out his crystal.

- Hmmm, not flying exactly, but I can levitate - or make someone or something levitate - up to about ... - she thinks for a second - ... twenty feet for a few minutes.

Persuasion 18
(Athletic's roll)

(Performance)

It's crazy I had Linda as a teacher before ever knowing Kuro for this world so I think it's interesting they are both pretty lazy/bored xD

- Sure, let's ask - she replies, smiling.

Well, so do we." He gestures to Zahira. "My name is Zephyro, and this is Zahira." He looks at the half-elf, "I liked your song from earlier by the way. It was fantastic!" Then he glances down at the hooded boy's sketch book, "And your drawing is...interesting."
