“I see that your night was far more rewardinf than mine.” Says the half-ef looking at the drawing
Any chance he can recognize it? Maybe by his background he has seen the wanted sign before? I’ll roll a d20 and put INT or Investigation modifiers after it if any of the are appropiate:

INT: +4 / Investigation: +10
“ I walked the perimiter of the village with the Elder, but nothing was revealed. The night was calm and the fog wet.” He says taking another sip of his drink.
Grady wakes up and quickly starts his day with some stretches and prayers. He locks his room behind him and puts the key with the key to the strangers room in a pouch inside his tunic. He heads down to the bar and greets Loretta with a slight wave as he is walking towards his party. The smells of breakfast get the better of him, even over the stench of ale at such an early hour, and he asks her for some breakfast and tea.
He sits down at an empty chair at the group's table and just catches Ullingtin trailing off after mentioning his name.
"Morning. I hear you've filled them in Ully?" After being caught up to speed, Grady adds- "The windows showed no signs of forced entry, that means the stranger left with his own free will- or, the key I've been given to his room was used to cover up any signs of a kidnapping. I know this is a stretch but we can't rule anything out. The other interesting thing is where we found this poster- it was in a concealed pocket hidden in the man's bag. If he was truly looking for the person depicted, why bother hiding the poster at all? Finally, I found a spare set of clothing in his bag along with a stack of blank parchment. I'm assuming the spare clothes are a possible disguise, or maybe they're his regular clothes and he was wearing his disguise? The paper could be for more of the schematics that Ullingtin found, but that's a lot of paper, you'd think there would be a few more sketches- they were all blank though apart from that one."
He speaks quietly and precise.
"I'll give you a minute to think about this Shek'lok, you too Dearg. ((OOC: Assuming hes there by now)) Once you've pondered on what we've found, I think Ullingtin and I are both curious of how the patrol went- what did you discover?"
Ullingtin is dunking some dried herbs in a cup of hot water while Grady speaks. Halfway through he stops mid-dunk...
”By the fair gods! I can be such a goldblind gem miner when I think I know what I am looking for!” he exclaims.
“Such a wise observation Grady, i didn’t even notice the blank paper in my focus on the plans and poster. Why would he have more blank paper? My mother always use to say, ‘a thing is what it is, except when it’s not.’ She meant it as a warning about always double-checking for poisonous shrooms, but it’s good wisdom in general.”
Ullingtin takes a deep breath as he tries to form his thoughts into a coherent question. “What if he was carrying blank paper, because it wasn’t blank? Does anyone in our party know any alchemy? Or a spell perhaps that might show hidden text or invisible inks?”
(OOC: Seriously good catch on the blank paper, I didn’t even notice it first time I read Barty’s post!)
“You two are both right and I am impressed by your good work. As for the little mistery concerning the portrait... “ he raises his hand, calling the attention of the innkeeper “Loretta dear, can you come for a minute? “
When she approaches he asks “Loretta, do you recognice this man?” Showing her the drawing.
Loretta walks toward the group with plates of fruit balanced on her arms, and a mug of tea in each hand, expertly placing them on the table - which was fortunate, because when Shek'lok showed her the drawing, she surely would have dropped them in her bewilderment. "That's him! That's the foreigner, Veren! How did you..." She stares, uncommonly quiet, before finally collecting herself. "Aye, but Thomas surely found himself an impressive group of investigators here. Which of you has the magic to pull that off? It's not every day you see a talent like that in Dormay."
”Just two more questions if you don’t mind. Was the stranger, this Veren character, specially fond on alcoholic beverages? Or did he had a violent or inapropiate behavior?”
"I don't know that I saw him drink while he was here, but he did seem a bit of a deviant," she says with a mischievous wink, "He never came out and said it, but with all those questions he was asking about the local girls you and I know what he was thinking."
Dearg was up early even with the late activities. He quietly performed his morning stretches and exercise and went to the bar for breakfast. He greets his party members with a quick note to each before eating breakfast of fruits and tea.
After hearing of the wanted poster he quietly speaks
"It seems these missing people have the choices of their lives in common with one another. They place others beneath themselves. I am glad your searches were more fruitful than my own. I found nothing showing a path or track into the woods nor do any of the outlying buildings have questionable doors. Whatever has happened was either contained within the town or done without a consistent pattern."
“I see Loretta Thank you that help us a lot” he says to her.
“I am starting to see a pattern here. The three missing persons shared a trait. Two of them drink alcochol in a regular basis, but the three of them were violent. It’s soon to discern more conclusions but we should talk with someone that knew both of the villagers and ask further on their behaviours.”
Ullingtin turns to Loretta and says, “Thank you for identifying this face. It seems you are right, the stranger was very much a deviant, and wanted elsewhere for heinous crimes. If you see him again, take care as you may not be safe in his presence.”
He then turns to the rest of the table, “Perhaps those of you with better tracking and talking skills should spearhead the search around town. I can focus on these plans and blank pages.”
Ullingtin pauses for a moment as if thinking. “Has anyone seen our wizard? I believe he may have some insight into these things that could help me.”
(/OOC Does Shek’lok have any alchemy or poison or secret code type skills that may help look for invisible ink?)

“No I haven’t seen him” replies Shek’lok while looking at the near tables as if he could listen what they are talking about.
Perception if needed to read the lips of the nearby tables and see if they are talking about them or the dissapearances If he finds a conversation with that he will “listen” to it: 16
No directly, no. He has investigation, observant feat and the “investigator” background I don’t know if all of that would allow him to roll investigation or deception to look for it...
"I agree that we need to talk to the villagers about the two townspeople who went missing. I think i have a way with people Ully, so Im happy to spearhead conversations but I think we will do better as a group, so everyone should feel free to jump in and ask questions as we're gathering information.
Joen mentioned the priest last night so I suggest we start there. Let's gather information on all three missing men before we start drawing conclusions. We just got here and I don't want our vision clouded by assumptions. This stranger is, infact, a wanted man- therefore, he could have easily been taken by a bounty hunter for his crimes. If this is the case then nothing we find about him relates to the actual missing men and it could slow our investigation. Let's just keep open minds and try to find the source of the disappearances, before anyone else goes missing.
Perhaps Loretta can give us some information on the other two men before we leave for the day- she has been nothing but helpful so far."
The small talk at the tables around you doesn't reveal much; mostly grumbling about the religious fools attending the morning service, and comments on the state of the local livestock.
Loretta blanches at the thought of having been so close to a potentially heinous individual. "Thank you for the warning, good gnome."
Dearg nods in agreement with Shek'lok as he stands up he quickly and efficiently checks his equipment straps to ensure everything is secure and tight. He stands ready to leave with the group.
OOC: For the sake of keeping us moving I'll assume the official action is to head to the church.
The sleepy village is quiet at this hour, and you pass by only a few townspeople walking back to their homes from the morning service. The church building looks more like a large house than a church. The main door is thick and clean, bearing the symbol of Chauntea. The house appears to be divided into two parts, the front much larger than the back.
The main door opens to the front section of the building. Consisting of several benches, a podium, and a small room in the corner, it is clearly meant for religious services. Another door separates this from the back section of the building. A human man in his thirties is cleaning the floor as you walk in.
"I am sorry, you just missed the morning servi--" Seeing the unfamiliar group walking in, he sets aside his work and warmly introduces himself with a pleasant appearance and slightly feminine demeanor. He is of average height, and has long black hair that is tied into a ponytail. "You are the group here for the missing ones, yes? I am Father Ertis, welcome, welcome. How can I help you?"
