Vrakath, taking another spear shot from Tex,now looks bruised and bloodied. He assesses his situation and sheathes his sword and removes a forked metal rod from his pocket. Breathing heavily he says "You fight well. Too well. I will see you all again soon and I will not underestimate your powers." And with that he mumbles an incantation to himself and vanishes before your eyes.
You are left with the sight of the aftermath of a battle. The air is still as are the waters of the ocean. A single raven flies over head. Four bloodied pirate bodies lay upon the deck of the ship. Bellamyclenching his wound as he struggles to stand. There currently is no sign of a threat.
You are now out of initiative. Please post at will.
Rel is stunned as Vrakath... disappears? She tries to reach through her pact bond, something that has never worked before for communication, only for magic, trying to discern whether the raven is... one of... Hers. Cannot be. No sating Her with anything but death, as with the Bearded Man.
She readies her black beam of energy to continue firing from her perch, this time at the bird.
"Where is he? Where did he go? If anyone objects to me downing that Raven, right now would be the time to speak up."
On a trigger of the Raven being above water, at least 40' from being above one of the ships, and a few seconds passing with no objections:
RelEldritch Blast readied attack on Raven To Hit: 22 + 4 from Bless = 26 RelEldritch Blast damage: 6 force damage (minimum) Repelling Blast: she does not use this so no push-back.
Tex almost stumbles when the pressure of their melee suddenly disappeared. He looks around if he can find him to close up to him again but this time he seems to have disappeared entirely. Just like that.
He adds to Thren's suggestion, "I second that, we should have a look what they have on board. But we should be careful, there might be more of them hiding below."
Unless the captain orders otherwise, Tex would join Thren to have a look belowdecks.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Zane walks to the other side of the boat, "Captain! It seems clear, for now. We're going to look around."
He almost starts to walk away, then turns back once more, "Is it possible that they ran it with just five people? Should we expect some nasty surprises?"
Looking at Bellamy he says, "You should get some rest. Definitely no climbing in near future unless you fall to your death."
After few moments pass, the raven flies down to perch on a mast. Before it can land it is hit with a beam of force from Rel. It makes no sound as it falls through the air until it hits the deck with a thud. The raven lies dead on the Dragonfly's deck.
Bellamy, using your detect magic you do not see any sign of Vrakath. You do see a faint aura of magic coming from below deck.
Captain Flame hangs his head and says "We had him...we had him finished and he...vanished. This isn't good. The Revelry... The Revelry will be after us now I am sure. You should have let me go. You should have let them take me. Zandir why didn't you listen? Rel did you not relay my message? This is...." The captain hangs his head and clenches his fist. "Whatever you all do over there on that boat make it quick. We need to finish this trip..."
“ ok then Tex let’s go and see if we can find anything” Thren will have a quick look around seeing if theirs any extra gold or valuable items aboard the ship then will jump back over to the rest of his companions
Tex joins Thren belowdecks and searches for remaining crew members who may be hiding and generally observes the layout of the ship, like where is the hold, and if it is full, where the crew quarters are and how big a normal crew size should be, and, ultimately, he looks more carefully into the officers' quarters for indication what their occupation was as might be contained in a ship manifest. (In order of priority, Investigation: 21)
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Bellamy calls out "There is something magical below decks. I am just going to head back to the ship. I am in no shape to face another danger. Can the last person back retrieve my rope?"
He hops back to their ship and slumps down heavily on deck letting out a few meows of pain.
Seeing that Zane also wanted to explore the large ship but Bellamy prefers to rest, Tex calls out to Zane, "Come with us. There's much to cover and more eyes will see more."

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Zane nods to Bellamy, "Understood. Let us know when you've rested - it might take us a while to go through this thing and figure out what's going on."
Zane salutes to Tex, "Sir, yes, sir."
He looks around. "Lets first make sure nobody else is going to surprise us here. Lets open all the doors and hatches. I'll start from the front. One deck at the time. Meet up again before we head down."
He thinks for a moment and pulls out his dagger, shrugging. "Not our ship - lets mark our path. I'll make a large Z on everything I've gone through."
Zane heads towards the front of the ship and starts from there. Investigation roll to thoroughly go through each room and toss everything. He's not going to cut into mattresses, but he's definitely going to empty all drawers and chests and footlockers, open all wardrobes and throw everything into a pile.
Following the stair down to the lower deck, it is much more open than the dragonfly with three large rooms on the port side of the ship as well as a door leading to another room opposite the stairs. The open area of this level has two tables each with chairs arranged around them. The first table you look at, much larger than the other, appears to be for dining as it has food scraps spread about it. The second table has playing cards and dice as well as some coin.
Opening the door of the first room your nose is assaulted with an overwhelming smell of spice. Gathering your composure you inspect the room closer. This is a storage room for a variety of spices that would most likely be sold or traded. The next room, upon opening the door is quite obviously the galley. Various cooking utensils, pots and pans, a small iron stove as well as a tube for cleaning dishes. The last room on the port side of the ship is the crew's quarters. You see five sets of bunk beds as well as ten separate storage lockers, each of which has it's own clothing and basic hygiene supplies within.
The room at the end of the ship is the captain's quarters. About the size of the crew's quarters, this room has a large bed rested against the wall. A cushioned chair sits behind a large table with documents spread across. The documents appear to be inventory, sales records and delivery manifests.
Tex, Thren, Zane
With you all working together to investigate the area and a 21 roll from Tex, you have noticed in the large common area, the crew's quarters, and the captain's quarters that there has been a struggle. Dried blood on a few tables and spots on the floor, broken dishware, torn bunk sheets.
You find amongst everything 52 copper pieces, 68 silver pieces and 15 gold pieces.
You find a box small enough to fit in your hand. Inside it is filled with a reddish brown powder.
You find a necklace with an intricate pendant depicting a grain of some sort.

"Whatever you all do over there on that boat make it quick. We need to finish this trip..."
Rel looks chagrined. "I was not convincing enough, Captain. I blame myself. The rest did not wish to leave you. Nor did I, deep down."
She climbs down from the perch to inspect the corpse of the Raven. If she sees nothing unusual, she uses Mage Hand to toss it onto the deck of the other ship. She briefly clasps the shoulder of every sailor aboard the Dragonfly, thanking them with a nod.
Finally, she heads down to the cargo hold to inspect the crate and its surroundings carefully. "Vale, there was a fight with pirates outside. We were victorious but the strongest foe was a magic-user who disappeared while still alive. Have you seen anything unusual down here below?"
“Tex you mined grabbing the money we will share the amount with the crew first then are selfs” he looks areound at the other items “anyone fancy the necklace and I’ll take the powder” Thren will the help put the lose change to Tex then go across the ship and tell rel and the captain about the money and will ask what the powder is
Rel, your spectral hand grabs hold of the dead bird and sends it off to the other ship, as you go below deck you do not see Valeuntil she hears your voice. She appears from the sleeping quarters, "Oh I heard a fight and promptly hid in a bunk. Haven't seen anything except the blanket covering my face." She then asks sincerely "Are we almost there? Can we tell the Captain to move faster? It seems like danger follows this boat and I really just want to see my brother again."
You can also see Lizzy, the steel guardian, is still sitting near the disguised crate.
Tex picks up the coins and the necklace and stores them in a pouch, separated from his own coins and belongings, "Ok, I'll keep them safe until we split them up. Looks like they had some sort of disagreement and that's why they were so few. I wonder if we should return the ship to the authorities, there might be a good reward for returning a stolen vessel." He returns to the Dragonfly and asks the captain if that would be a viable plan, adding, "It's a sturdy ship, I would hate to see it burn but I also don't want to provide free ships to roving pirates. What do you think, captain?"

Rel tries to keep her exasperation at Vale's tone-deafness hidden. She is relieved to see that at least Lizzy still seems on guard and unharmed.
"Trust me, I think the Captain will be wanting to get out of here fast." She leaves the rest unsaid, doubting that Vale will even hear her, given the young woman's single-mindedness. I could have stumbled down here dying with my guts hanging out and Vale would still nag me about her bloody brother. Bellamy did almost have his guts slashed out, and now we are likely to be on the run from Revelry pirates and whatever Vrakath is...
Her annoyance at Vale distracts Rel as she attempts to search around the cargo hold for any sign of disturbance or intrusion during the fight, despite her first seeking Guidance from her father's divine ancestry. Perception plus Guidance: 7 + 2 = 9.
Back aboard the Dragonfly, Thren and Texseek out Captain Flame. He responds to Thren's question about the powder first "Looks like some sort of spice maybe? I don't know really. That's not my area of expertise." He then looks to Texas he questions trying to sell the boat. "Are you sure the boat is stolen? Do you have proof of it? Also, and I don't mean to be rude to your suggestion, but dragging that boat behind the Dragonfly will severely slow us down if not completely stall our movement in the water. I really want to get to port and be done with this mission. I plan to sell the Dragonfly upon arrival and rid myself of any connection to it and the Revelry. Perhaps a new identity is in order.... this is a mess. Such a big big mess...."
