Jarsalibeckons you to follow as she marches on. The sun over head this day is hot, hotter than it has been and the sound of entering the cool damp caverns actually sounds refreshing, until your minds are reminded of the horrors that lie within that is. She stops at a small shop with a steepled roof and a wooden sign perched over a swinging door that reads "Potions and Lotions". Jarsalistops, "Here, if you wish to inquire about some potions, the proprietor within may have some in stock though she tends to stock up more on the lotions than the potions." She chuckles "I will say though, if you have dry and irritable skin, the lotions do quite a job!" Her face goes serious once more "Be quick."
Stepping inside a half elven woman stands behind the counter, cropped red hair and a light flowery sun dress tied at the waste with a hempen rope. Her skin is indeed, flawless. Telling of the lotions Jarsalihad described. "Can I interest ya in some lotion samples?" She pauses as she looks up at the group and almost gasps "Ya look like you could use something to sooth yourselves, perhaps some incense, essential oils, and lemon tea? Just two silver to sit in the essentials room for a bit while ya sip some tea."
Zane stays outside with Jarsali and the Zhelezo, his back to the building. He keeps scanning the crowd and the rooftops for Vrakath or anything other suspicious.
He fills them in on what they encountered the day before, starting from the room with the carpet. He mentions the corpse hole briefly but describes the main cavern at length.
"I don't know precisely how we'll get there, but assume everything and everyone is dangerous. Also, it seems that at least the main boss can communicate with everyone, possibly having links between individual teams as well. We would like to maintain the element of surprise for as long as possible, preferring stealth and shooting first."
He continues, "I can create a large spherical area of silence where no sound can be created or used, which effectively also blocks most magic. We will also encounter magic users, and depending on how things are going, I might create that area on top of them. It would be very, very useful if you could then keep them in that area and cut them down there."
Tex enters the shop with Jarsali and takes in the various scents of herbs and aromatic oils, "You've got potions that still an itch under these dusty scales of mine? I might find an interest in that. There isn't time right now to indulge in tea and oils but I'll come back to that offer for sure. No, right now, we came looking for curative potions, or lotions that cure wounds rather quickly. You've got any if those?"

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
"I'll take one lotion with a strong flower scent."Lana's skin with patches of small translucent scales here and there, did not need any lotion, but she had an idea, not fully formed in her head yet. "And yes, any healing potion you can offer too."
"Ah sure I've got a few healing potions left" She clanks three vials of red liquid on the counter top. "I've got these three left at 60 gold pieces each. Or if your interested in something a little more exciting..." She pulls a fourth vial out and places it on the counter. The liquid contents of this vial are transparent and floating within is a sliver of a giants fingernail. "This one here will make you strong as a giant. 250 gold pieces for thisPotion of Hill Giant Strength."
"And as for your lotion, try this one out." She grabs your hand Lanaand squirts from a tube, a light creamy colored lotion with a strong lavender aroma. "If you like it I charge just 5 silver for a tube of your own. What do you think?"
"Would it be possible to purchase the health potion for 50gp. I am a sellsword of sorts and will probably come back as you know my line of work is dangerous."says Bellamy
Tex listens to Bellamy’s haggling approach but decides that it will probably not work. Who else, if not sellswords, would buy potions, but mostly the herbalist will probably believe that sellswords sold their swords for a good price. He fishes 60 gold pieces out of his pouch and buys a potion that he returns to Rel, “Thanks but we all should have some and I have another.” Then he offers 30 gold to Bellamy, “I can give you half of the price of one.”

Lana jerked her hand away right before the sweet vendor tried to smear the lotion into it. "Thanks, it smells exactly right and I take it."She smiled. "Sorry, do not want to smell like a flower bed just yet. So, the lotion, and the potion. Three healing potions is all you have? If there is more, we,"Lana tilted her head towards others, "will take all of them."
Potion of Healing logistics: Rel had started with 3 healing potions and given away two (1 each to Bellamy and Tex to drink). She still has one left.
So far now Lana has bought one, Bellamy has bought one, and Tex has bought one to give to Rel, so she is back up to two (putting it in her Handy Haversack). So I think we've bought the elven lotion/potion woman out, and she has no more healing potions, correct? Unless she remembers that she has more, per Lana's request.
Assuming there are no more, Rel thanks the merchant politely and steps back out, anxious to continue with the mission.
Once outside, Tex downs his last Potion of Healing for 7 hp. “That was my last but I’m feeling much better, physically. I’m nearly out of spells, can manage one more, perhaps a shield, but then that’s it. Anyway, I’m as ready as I can be today to visit that temple.”
(I hope we all know what we’re doing by going into a vampire’s den at nightfall. I remember how that woman wiped the floor with Thren (our then-cleric) and nearly killed him in a single round (if I recall correctly) because he wanted to greet her with a welcome kiss. Confronting her along with any additional threats is going to be a tough fight if not entirely impossible. But perhaps a new group of adventurers can pick up the pieces.)

"That is indeed the last of my healing potions." She says as you pay the coin and gather them from the countertop. Turning around and leaving the building you hear her say "But I have plenty more lotions if you need...." And her voice fades out as you leave, closing the door behind you.
Jarsalisays "Well then let us continue on." And she leads the way forwards. After about another mile of walking through town you get to The Beaded Alley. The wind is more calm today and the colorful waving streamers and dangling beads are still this afternoon. Leaving the normally lively atmosphere of the commerce section of Port Damali, quite listless. Walking along you come to a larger bridge that crosses the largest waterway you have yet seen in town. On the opposite side of the bridge you can see the edge of The Tumbledowns. Jarsali, still leading you and the Zhelezo begins to cross the bridge and stops half way.
"This is where we can enter the cavern system." She points over the edge. You can see where she points, the water swirls in a vortex. "You said you saw a waterfall yes? I believe perhaps it comes from this whirlpool. We can attempt to enter here or continue on to the far edge of The Tumbledowns. We can rent a skiff of some kind and enter there, though I believe this would be the quicker route based on Zane's direction."
Bellamy peers over the bridge and a bit a fear strikes him as he looks at the swirling waters "If there is a way to safely navigate these churning waters then I am game in entering from here, though my swimming skills is lacking. I believe we can tie together some rope to get us down" says Bellamy
“Do you remember if there was a deep pool below the waterfall that could cushion the fall? I mean, this looks a very daunting experience.”

Seeing the kobold consume his last Potion of Healing, Rel hands him one back. "I have two now and we should each have one in reserve,Tex."
She looks at Jarsali and back at the group when the choice between the whirlpool/waterfall or continuing the long way to rent a skiff. As the plump tabaxi mentions his swimming skills, or lack thereof, a sudden memory strikes her unbidden of a cat owned by the family of her once gnome friend Roywyn. The otherwise cute feline had gone wild, lashing out with tooth and claw, whenever faced with the prospect of getting wet.
"I am unsure, but I lean towards trying the quick way with the whirlpool. It is still daytime and if undead are involved, especially vampires, best not catch them at night. Though perhaps it does not matter underground where there is no sunlight. Regardless, none of us are in heavy armor, correct?"
(She knows the party is not, but she checks Jarsali and her Zhelezo, not wanting swimming/floating to become an issue due to heavy armor).
Regardless, she reaches out for her aasimar father's Guidance, ready to cast it on whoever is going first. "I can provide you all a small bit of divine assistance as you each dive in, though I have to tap your shoulder first, and I can only do it for one at a time. Then at the end, I can go last."
Tex speaks up quickly. “Lizzy jumps with us. We could send your owl first and make sure it’s save, could she transform into a fish or frog or something that navigates water easier?”
