(for brevity I'll make the initial introductions to our new sorcerer in summation before responding to the noble.) Salchar and Corric, introduce themselves as such politely, explaining their purpose and skills that they have that are useful. Salchar's hawk rests still on his shoulder, eyes on a pivot as Corric still firmly grasps his shield while his shield sits comfortably at his side.
The Fire Genasi speaks, "So goblins have weaponry that doesn't befit their lowly status and your suspicion as that their being supplied by someone from within the city? Could there possibly be a raid on a shipment or a force of guards that were ambushed and ransacked outside of the city walls? Your allegations, could be more inflamatory than anything if we don't rule other possibilities out..."
Corric thinks on the subject, "Are there any suspects if it is an inside job? I'm sure if there was a missing group of guards the king would've been aware, don'tcha think Mr. Salchar? But anything is possible..."
"We are here for info about the goblin attack." Sand said politely.
"Ah yes, the goblins invaded my yard. They were looking for something or someone. But this is why we are here," the noble pulled out a sword and pointed toward a symbol in the middle. "The goblins obviously were too numerous, so I can't expect them to get many weapons. But why does the goblin have a sword with the king's flag engraved on it? I feel there is an inside man-"
"Sorry," the human guard interrupts, "But I think our defenses are good enough."
Rain stares at the guard and says, "How can you say that, heh? Is your head working right? The castle has been breeched twice in the last day, and multiple people were killed. Whatever this sword means, the defenses are clearly not good enough."

"True! It is common to scavenge gear from fallen enemies. I, myself, have a spear from a dead goblin. How can we know that this goblin who invaded your property hadn't just taken a sword from a murdered guard? Sand, is there an inventory of the castle armory? Do you know how many weapons had gone missing before the raid here?"
"It is more than just that," the noble continued, "They know there way around well. You were attacked by the castle, correct? We have watchtowers, and the guards should have blown their horns or sent up flairs. But nobody new anything until they got to the castle. They have to have gotten in some other way. That, or... someone let them in."
"One can deduce then that it's a collaborative effort or they at least have an extensive scouting network either way, it would make sense why the king wouldn't want run of the mill guards on this case." Salchar muses to himself "Are we sure everyone in this room is trustworthy"
Corric meanwhile is keeping eyes on those in the room, seeing if there's anyone that could be suspicious (General insight: 25 in game log) before adding, "Goblins typically aren't this well organized no? They must have a leader that is working with someone on our side...even if its just leaking information. What would be a motive though?"
I don't see any rolls in the game log. Did you set it to roll to everyone or to self? You'd want to go to "SEND TO (DEFAULT):" and it should have "everyone" set. Either that or it's a bug that I don't see it.
Also there should be a dice button to roll in thread on computer, although idk about how mobile works.
That's odd. But Ben_Evolent has confirmed you did roll 25, it just showed up in another thread. I'll give you that :)
The human is hiding his face. You sense intense guilt, but also cruel humor. Sand seems to be neutral, although you have a hunch he is hiding his emotion.
The guards leave to stand guard outside.
"Well, I'm not sure. But here's the worst part." The noble takes a deep breath. "Nobody has ever known of secret entrances, or at least I've never heard of them. But the goblins remain unpredictable in the fact that they have done several attacks but all from different places. Some say sewers. Some say underground passages. Others take a different approach: Invisibility, incredible disguise, etc. I just wonder how." A lady, most likely the noble's wife, peeks her head in. "Tea, anyone? I'll need help getting it though." The lady looks at Sand and the Dwarf, who is nearest to her, and they leave to help.
The noble looks to the other room and says quietly. "I can't say this in front of them, It's treason, and they've worked for the king their whole life. But I discussed this with some others, and I think the king himself is helping the goblins. You haven't known him long, but I know he's been acting differently lately. I don't think this is the real king. Do you know why every time he gives you info, it lasts a few minutes? He wants you to fail. He actually replaced his whole crew one day, right after an attack. I'm not sure you can trust any of the king's men." He leans in closer. "I swear by my soul, my honor, my wealth and my ancestors that this is true." As Sand and the Dwarf come back with tea, the noble quickly stops. "Tea, anyone?" The dwarf asks. "Ah yes," the noble replies. "As I was just saying, the goblins probably have a good leader. I just wonder who, huh?" He says smoothly, pretending he doesn't know anything. "Well, I better get going. Thank you for your time."

(OOC: So, after tea was served, the noble left the room, but we're all still in his house?)
Rain sips his tea and wonders about the noble's intentions. Is he being honest? Is he trying to help the group? (Insight24)
As the Sand and the dwarf leave to assist with the tea, Corric gestures to Rain and Salchar that the human guard isn't trustworthy. "That human with the face covering, we should get him aside for a private chat." the halfling whispers.. "not my thing really, but it's a hunch, uhhh small folk have that intuition you know?" Salchar acknowledges this nods at the noble taking his word for face value for now, not willing to rule out any possibility just yet. He takes his tea and sips it quickly, but politely. "A pleasure, truly..."he says as the noble leaves, "now has there been any canvasing of where the goblins have appeared? connecting of the dots so to speak.."
As sand leaves the noble's house, you see the human guard has a blowdart in his chest and is on the ground, but still conscious. "The half-orc, he attacked me. He's with the goblins." You see the human is bleeding.

Jorzaeramon listened politely while the noble talked to the party. He wonders whether all of this commotion has distracted his host enough that he forgot about the necklace, at least for today.
As tea is served, Jor sits apart from the party, but nearby, and opens one of the books from the noble's private library, a collection of stories of adventure and magic. He tries to look like he's absorbed in the book (Deception13), just waiting for the noble's other guests to leave, but he was careful to sit close enough to be able to listen to the conversation.
Jorzaeramon is curious about this business with the goblin attacks. He's heard all sorts of rumors about recent attacks, but now he has luckily found himself in a room where there is real information. All his life, information has been the most important currency. It has helped him build a small "business" here, but more importantly, knowing the right information at the right time is often the key to staying alive.
He closes the book, stands, and moves closer to the party. Looking to Corric, he says, "I beg your pardon. I couldn't help overhearing, and I may be able to help you in talking to this guard. I have some experience in dealing with...untrustworthy associates."
As you leave the noble's house, you see the human guard has a blowdart in his chest and is on the ground, but still conscious. "The half-orc, he attacked me. He's with the goblins." You see the human is bleeding.
(OOC: why did the party decide to leave? Was there some sound or commotion? Or the noble was done with us and bid us good-bye?)
Sorry, I was in a hurry. I meant to say Sand was leaving. Let me rewrite that:

(OOC: Even though the direct style is appropriate for something Rain would say, I assume that this was supposed to be Sand speaking to the noble?)
Sorry, that should say Sand.

(I had to scroll the window to the very bottom of the page to see it but will reroll here if easier: 15 )

(The lady went to the other room with sand and the dwarf, the noble was alone with the party.)
He seems honest and wants to help. He seems certain about this, although he could be misled.

The noble takes the human inside and takes him into another room. The dwarf goes and sees him, as Sand scouts the area.
"We may be here for a bit." The dwarf says. "This doesn't look too bad though."
The party is now alone in the room.
Also, Jor successfully seems absorbed in the book. It's some random book about farming, and you are reading about... potatos.

Will everyone stop calling him "The Demogorgon"? It's his name, not a title!
