Bart is surprised but presses the sudden advantage of Tobias' surprise, chopping at him with sword - terrible though it may be - and refreshed by the appearance of allies (second wind)
Attack: 25 Damage: 14 + 11
Action surge! He strikes again!
Attack: 20 Damage: 13 + 9
Second wind 11 hp restored
(Since hits are crits, I'm just rolling crit bonus damage as the number after each attack roll)

Barbär falls to one knee for a moment to rest. "Thank you Marigold. Usually im on the other end of this situation. Consider me indebted to you dear." he stands and gathers his hammer (and arrow if im able if were counting them?) "We must tell the Undermayor what we have found."
Barbär casts light, and looks around for anything of proof; investigation: 5
"I have been in some tight scrapes before, but... I think I hadn't realized how out of shape I am before now. If you all had not appeared, Babar and I would both have likely died. Speaking of which, how did you get down there? I thought you were at the temple?"
Bart will scoop up the book that implicated the previous priest, if it's still here.
"We found a tunnel underneath the temple that came out here. A nasty little imp tried to push me in. There's another door down there guarded by a carved demon, that we didn't get time to try, as we could hear you having some fun without us in here. The Elder?"religion check: 7
As Marigold had reassumed an animal form to help bolster the parties defenses against the man, she wasn't quite able to verbally converse with the party. The thanks receiving a slight dip of her head, but no more.
[Religion: 18+5 = 23] (Not sure if you see it when I use the mobile app, GM)
Marigold would also like to put her nose to the ground and try and see if she can't find any secrets that the man might have been hiding in the home based off the smell of his tracks, using that big-ol wolf snout. Maybe she could find something interesting while her comrade filled them in on what they found below.
[21 if able to roll the investigation with advantage due to smell, 6 if not]
Elder refers to Kador, God of Fire, the missing Elder Brother to Erathis, Melora, and Korak. There are several cults to Asmodeus, Lord of Hell, that claim he is in fact Kador.
Your investigation doesn't turn up anything new.

Snorting in disappointment, the wolf became a woman again, shaking out her hair, taking a moment to breath in deep and get a feel for her own body again.
"Nothing of importance here, from what I can tell. As for 'The Elder', the only thing I know of that would be Kador. Missing brother of the three--some claim him to be Asmodeus. But I am glad to see that you two are alive and well. We should investigate that room downstairs before we turn in any findings on this front."

"Well i would also like to give a quick look around Brother Randall's room, if anyone wouldn't mind lending an eye for that?" Barbär says as he makes his way to the door to the sleeping chambers, and opens the door to let himself in.
The door to the sleeping quarters was left open after Tobias an Bart went in the first time, it's where the trap door and the wardrobe were. The only significant thing you find are two beaten up burlap sacks with a duke's ransom in coins and a few statues and knicknacks that look like they are trappings of a temple to Anwyn. There is also an empty chest in the room that the stuff may have come from. Some scuff marks on the floor clue you in that the chest may have been dragged up from below.

Barbär coughs as he opens his eyes, "Bloody sorcery! You're no holy man, Tobias!"
Seeing as how his warhammer lost its glow in his unconscious status, Barbär pulls out his crossbow and fires at Tobias!
Crossbow: Attack: 11 Damage: 10
And then whispers a word of healing to himself as a bonus

Barbär: Your crossbow bolt strikes true, bringing the "priest" close to death with a wound to the gut.
"I see your faces, the Elder's servant's will not forget you!" he says, then with an infernal word, disappears in a flash of red and black light.

Everyone can roll religion on “the elder”, but while it seems familiar to Bart he can’t quite place it. (Min dc 10 for info)
