Teller would have been assisting with moving the bodies. Hearing the noise coming from the Fort, he side steps to stand behind Fagrim. "I think they know we are here! I say we approach and take them head on. It would make for a fascinating story, and they are likely on high alert; sneaking could prove difficult. "

"Let's draw out this group first. Quick! Solastor and I will stay here and pretend to be busy collecting the bodies together while the rest of you hide to flank and surprise them from behind when they approach us."
"An Execllent plan Fargrim! If we're trying to be notice there is no use working in the dark!" Solastor casts Light to illuminate the road around them while they work.
Fargrim makes a big show of looting bodies, positioning himself so that he's facing to the side from where the sound is coming from, such that he's not facing directly away from them, but it will also appear that they are unnoticed. He places his axe to the side, just within reach while his shield is firmly attached on the side the enemy will approach from.
"Could it be a trap? We don't know if all of them are on the ship, they might be hiding inside while one or two row out on the boat. Or there could be a new ship coming in. I don't think they'd give up a fort like that so easily. Hey Teller, you any good with fireballs, would it be possible burn a hole in the boat so it sinks?"
"Well Miss Avery, I am afraid I am not. My natural talents are more set in the nature of storms. I could likely still blast a hole into it though, the poison spell I used early can potentially become fire. I, however, believe that it is likely a ship coming in. Would you care to accompany me to investigate?"

Teller and Avery move silently towards the fort and as you get close Avery can see 6 archers along the wall keeping watch and a rowboat quickly rowing across the river with 4 passengers. One of the passengers is dressed significantly better than the rest.

The sounds in the distance begin to grow quiet and it seems the people in the fort are not going to be leaving it to check on the sounds at this time.
