Maz eyes the new instrument with eyes wide. After seeing the way the man played and the rats reacted… it has to be the one he was looking for. He looks it over trying to confirm it is the pipe of the sewers.

Your not quite sure at first but as you look the pipes over you notice the carvings of rats on the handle you feel confident it's the infamous pipe of the sewers.
The party heads out of the sewers and back into the main city. Every gives the party a good bit of space as you look and smell like something that just crawled out of the sewers.
Mickey: "Marley I know we need to get you some help but I think a bath is in order first.... I fell in $h!t literally and I want to burn these clothes. There is a public bath house just over there the hotel I'm at most likely would not let us enter, the temple most likely won't either "
Not really waiting for a response Mickey starts off into the direction of the bathhouse.
The bathhouse is a large 3 story building around the corner from the arena. It's a5 sliver each which Mickey pays for. The party is ushered towards the "soiled bath" where the group is able to scrub off the filth of the sewer. After you are deemed clean enough you are allowed to go into the main bath area. A steamy room with a cool pool in the center and a number of hot tubs all around.
Finding an empty tub the party piles in.
Mickey "Well I'm glad you got a new instrument Maz but what are we to do about transportation to Norend? And your cure won't be cheap Marley. The temple here charges a premium Im told..... There is a witch outside of down I hear but she is known to kill adventures she don't like..."
Mickey leans back in the water.sighs
*Sigh "I miss my breakery. Any ideas on what to do next? Do we just walk it?"
"Ah, thank you my friends," Marley nods with appreciation for the support from the rest of the party. He also leans back in the hot tub and tries to relax but is clearly agitated, his gaze constantly returning to the bite on his arm as it rests on the tub's rim.
"I don't know what to do next. You know, I had a friend once... he uh, turned into a weretiger you see...and well, that was that." He pauses for a long moment, then continues. "At least a weretiger is a tiger. And a werewolf, a wolf. But I would rather be dead than to be a giant rat thing." He looks around anxiously at the others. "Promise me... if I... turn, you will do the right thing?"
"The witch eh..." Marley frowns as he watches the patterns of steam rising from the bathwater's surface, then adds, "I suppose that might be best...if she likes us."
"Oh..." Marley realizes suddenly, "the witch they speak of, that might be Grandmother Willow? She helped us before..." His mood brightens considerably as he feels a surge of hope. "Yes, let's go see Willow again!"
The party finishes cleaning up and leaves the he bath house refreshed. (Short rest if you want 1)
The day is winding down as it's now late afternoon and the city is starting to close down as the market starts to empty and the various taverns, bars and inns become more lively.
Mickey discides to travel with the party to Grandma Willows hut. (Someone roll history for me) But first he needed to get the chest from his inn.
: Traveling to the inn only takes a few minutes but on arivall you find a small crowd and a few of the city guard outside.
Mickey leading the way talks to the guard as you try and enter but the way is blocked.
Mickey: "what's going on I'm a patron of this inn and with to get my things?"
Guard: "been a murder and the place was tosses. Robbery gone bad I think. Which room you in I'll see about your things?"
Mickey "Room 7"
Guard "Wait here"
The guard leaves for a moment before returning with 2 more guards
Guard: "You lot come with me we have a few questions.*
The party is lead into the inn where there are half a dozen bodies dead and shriveled up like they have had the life blood drained from their bodies."
DM: Maz it looks like the aftermath of the dagger.
The guard captain walks over
Guard: These the ones staying in room 7 sir.
Captain: "what the 4's name was in your room?"
Mickey"What? Just a chest I was hired to deliver to Norend"

Maz stumbles a bit seeing the bodies. He shudders, feeling the cold that had once held strong his mind and soul. His gaze is distant as the guards begin talking.
Captain "Rats?..." He looks pensive and looks around muttering out loud. "The nest has been growing but they could not do this not in broad daylight." Turning back to the party.
"What are you not telling me? Where have you been all day?"
Marley nods in agreement with Crunch, looking around at the bodies while trying to think of something clever to say. Remembering his attempts to smooth talk the Rat King didn't go so well, he glances towards Maz, hoping he's still feeling better enough to work his gift with speech.
After hearing Rats again the Captain looks each of you in the eye scanning you up and down his eyes stopping momentarily on Marley's bandaged arm.
"You've been to the nest...." he raises his hand and snaps
The party finds themselves on a white field. The area is quite. Looking around you see stars above and where you expect to see the moon you sea the world of Terra. A woman of exceptional beauty appears before the party. Each time you blink she looks different. That is for everyone but crunch.
"Crunch your time in this world is almost done. I'll call you to me soon but your task on Terra is not done. You must recover the artifact that was stolen. Failure to do so will doom your world.
