"Let's check out what's in this cupboard, aye? Ah'm not seein' much around 'ere and we shouldn't take too long or th' creature could recover since it just seems like something an amorphous slime could do."Finley says as he goes to open the cupboard to check inside. "Maybe something good and heavy."
Valrieth says, "I was thinking that maybe just a long pole that we would poke it with. Maybe you could remove one of those shelves off of the wall, and we could use it?"
She glances back to the door to B2 and says, "Or...maybe there's enough left on those bodies that Bavlorna is using in her taxidermy that we could use it like bait? Tie something to the end of a regular rope. Weigh it down so that it sinks. Once the blob tries to 'swallow' it, we reel in the rope and entice the blob back to the top of the well?"
"Hmm, yeah let's try a rope with one o' th' bodies, ah was hopin' she might've unlocked th' cupboard." Finley chuckles nervously, "We just gotta make sure it don't get a hold of it till it's clear so we can kill it before it goes back in."

"OK!", Valrieth says brightly. "Octavian, could you help?"
Val dashes back to the door to B2 and opens the door. She says, "Oh! Wha....?", surprised by the sight of the petrified vultures on the crate that held the weird 8-legged creature's body. She looks back to the pool and asks, "Finley, did those vultures from the kitchen turn to stone when you brought them here?"
Avoiding that crate, Val gets out her rope, and asks Octavian to bring her one of the larger / more intact animals carcasses from one of the piles in the room. She'll try to tie the rope around the animal's body so that they can lower it into the well and then real it up like a fishing line.
Val wonders whether they'll need to tie something heavy to the animal carcass to get it to sink quickly enough. Something metal, like a shield? Or maybe a stone? She asks Octavian, "How heavy are those vulture statues? Can you lift one?"
(OOC:
Since they have additional information about the vultures turning to stone after eating from the crate, could they roll another nature check to identify the carcass in the crate?
Is there a carcass that's intact enough for Val to tie it securely with the rope?
Should Val roll some sort of skill check for tying the rope around the animal carcass?
"Oh, yeah they were eatin' on th' body and it turned 'em ta stone afterwards. Didn't want to worry ye about them ending up like that so ah didn't mention it."Finley replies. "Ah imagine th' statues are heavy, if th' poison? Turned everything inside them stone as well. Hopefully ye can lift one Octavian, ah can help as well."

A horse’s head leers at you with glossy eyes, its lips drawn back from pointed yellow teeth. The head is affixed to a large, eight-limbed armature made of wicker and wire, situated so that it faces the doorway where you entered. Near it is a wooden crate.
Flies buzz about this disordered room, landing occasionally on animal carcasses that lie strewn in small piles. On a low table rests an assortment of tools—saws, knives, scrapers, a hand-cranked drill, sewing thread and needles, and awls—around several taxidermic subjects in various stages of completion. A shelf that looks on the verge of collapse leans against the wall between two windows and bears the weight of dozens of stuffed horrors. Each one is an artless combination of two or more animals.
"Could be easier ta use a couple o' those carcasses then with it being tha' heavy." Finley offers, "without Ganny boy ah think that would be best."
"OK! Good idea, Finley," Valrieth says. She lays out one end of the rope on the platform outside the door to B2 and directs Octavian to place two of the carcasses side by side across it so that she can try to tie them both up. Val is sad that the animals were slaughtered, but now that they're dead, she doesn't feel bad about using their bodies. In fact, she feels good about preventing their bodies from being used in Bavlorna's twisted taxidermy creations. Better to use them as part of their plan to destroy this acidic blob monster.
Val prays briefly for guidance because they really need this to work. She knows that they damaged the gelatinous cube, but from her brief brush with the creature, she thinks that it's still very dangerous. She attempts to tie up the carcasses: Sleight of Hand17 (with guidance).

Valrieth pulls her knot tight and then looks with dismay as the carcasses fall right out of the loop as Octavian tries to lift them with the rope. "Oh no!", she exclaims. "I guess I didn't tie that knot very well." She asks Octavian to bring the carcasses over to the top of the stairs on the southeast side of the pool. She drops her rope there, unties the shoddy knot that she had made, and asks, "Finley, are you any good with knots? We could use your rope. But I was worried that it might be damaged by the creature's acid, so I thought that it was better to use a mundane rope."
If Finley wants to attempt to tie the carcasses in Val's rope, she'll cast guidance on him.
“Well, ah could always make another one.” Finley grins as he pulls out his rope and commands it to tie around the carcasses and make a knot like Val was trying to do.

The carcasses are neatly tied together by the magic rope. Now who will be lowering it into the water or will it be a group effort with everyone holding onto the rope?

Once Finley has tied the rope, Valrieth says, "I'm going to go stand over here so that I'm not too close this time. If it comes for me, I'll try to escape up the stairs. If it turns around and goes after you, I can come down and light it up again. If it pursues me up the stairs, well, maybe I can introduce the blob to Bavlorna?" She moves over to the platform by the northwest edge of the pool, just below the spiral stairs that lead up to B7.
Val badly injured by the monster's attack last time. From the NW corner, she should still be able to attack it with both guiding bolt and her archer starry form attack anywhere it goes in B1. And if the monster comes toward her, she can hopefully escape up the stairs while Finley and Octavian safely attack it with fire bolt.
Hopefully, between Octavian and Finley, they can lure the blob up and out of the well, and if it swallows the carcasses, they can yank them out of it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Working together Finley and Octavian fishes the gelatinous cube out of the well. The water soon flows up and over the lip of the well to spill into the pool.

This is what is in the taxidermy workshop.

There are several carcasses that could work, but no re-roll on the nature check. The carcass would slowly sink unless you want to use 2 carcasses.
"I can lift up the stone vulture, but it will be quite heavy and pulling that up with the blob would be hard to do" says Octavian.

(Know that the cube is very acidic. Are you sure you want to use your magic rope?)
(Yes, I can make another one on long rest if necessary as I also have a non-magical rope in my pack or swap to another infusion that I have.)

Octavian helps out Finley and it does not take long before you feel a strong tug as the carcasses are gulped by the gelatinous cube.
Finley, please roll Strength Save DC 13 with advantage as Octavian will use the help action.
On success you are able to pull up the cube and on fail you can let go of the rope or hold on and be yanked towards the well.
Finley pulls as hard as he can, "Let's go Octavian!"
