After a tense battle Cradlefall is knocked unconscious with Finley delivering the final blow. I assume Finley was trying to knock the dragon out if not let me know.
From L14 the soft scratching sound of a quill stops, as she may have heard a bit of what Finley said and everyone hears "Do I hear the growling of a dwarf well there is nothing you can do but stew in my pit. I don't smell any baked potatoes dearie. There better be potatoes in the oven little Mishka otherwise I may turn you into a toy bit by bit."
She has mistaken Finley for the imprisoned dwarf in the kitchen.
There better be potatoes in the oven little Mishka otherwise I may turn you into a toy bit by bit."
Val glances at the half-open door, alarmed, and looks across the room at the girl, Mishka. She cranes her neck and stands tiptoe to get as tall as possible, waves frantically at the girl, and then nods her head encouragingly and gives the girl an "OK" sign.
Aoife checks that the dragon is still breathing (survival? 17 in game log) and then goes to free the child from the table. Do her restraints need a key, are they magical, or can she break them? (inv 18 in game log)
She whispers to the others, "What's going on? The person in there is kidnapping children? You're here to stop them?"
The shackles need a key or someone skilled with a lock pick. Though you can also try to brute strength it by striking at the chains though that will make some noise.
"stop them?" ilifir doubles over in silent laughter, then pulls himself upright and walks over to try to unlock the shackles, using the tools he still hasnt returned to finley, while spike holds the lock as still as possible, and hands him the tools he needs
sleight of hand 11, or 25 if spike is able to help

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

With a last glance to make sure that the hag is still writing at her desk and not paying too much attention to the kitchen, Valrieth pads quietly across the room to the others where they stand near Mishka.
To Aoife, she says tensely, "My name is Valrieth. We're all in great danger here. There's a powerful hag through that door, and this wicked dragon must belong to her. If Cradelfall is not already dead, could you tie him up so that he cannot use its noxious breath nor run away if he wakes up?"
To Ilifir, she says, "Ilifir, do you think that Spike could make it to Will and the others and deliver a message? If the hag comes through that door, I think we may want them to cause that distraction."
Then Val asks Finley whether he can try to open Mishka's shackles, casting guidance on him. "If not," she reassures Mishka, "you may need to wait and pretend that Cradelfall just wandered off. Once Will and the other children distract the hag, we'll come back and get you and the dwarf."
Aoife shrugs, nods and whispers "Yeah I can restrain it to slow it down, I guess." She pulls out a length of rope and ties the dragon's limbs and fashions a bit of a muzzle for its snout. (Survival roll 23 in the game log)
ilifir hisses "sorry" *he hands finley back his tools* "you try, otherwise we'll have to try something else, maybe cut the table apart?"

"Good job, Finley!", Valrieth says with a big smile, bouncing happily in place and pantomiming clapping her hands without actually making any sound. "I knew you could do it! Your star chart foretold success and great deeds today, Finley."
As they get Mishka free of her chain, Val casts guidance on Ilifir next, pointing to the grate in the floor, "Maybe you'll have better luck picking that lock? But better have your invisible friend watch the door while you do so that we have a warning before she comes through." She looks to Mishka to confirm what she assumes to be the case: "There's a dwarf locked down there who...I guess he opposes Granny Nightshade too?"
Valrieth takes Mishka's hand, saying, "Mishka, let's get you out of here. Will is waiting nearby." She walks with Mishka to the door to the outside (the one to the east through which they entered). As they pass Aoife, she smiles. "Good job with the rope," she says but then continues somewhat apologetically, "...um...I don't know your name? But it seems the Fates have put us on the same Path for now."
Assuming the half-orc shares her name, Val says, "Aoife? Good! Now, Aoife, you'd better carry the...the dragon outside, if you can." She stumbles over the word 'dragon.' She can hardly believe that they knocked out a dragon, even a small one -- no matter how good the portents of the Stars were today. "We don't want Cradelfall to be the first thing the hag sees if she catches us in her house."
Finley finessed the shackles open, and Mishka gives everyone a toothy smile. She follows Val out and gives her a hug glad to taste fresh air and freedom. Though she remains quiet for now as she is still near Granny Nightshade.

What do you do next?
As soon as she sees the dragon slump down unconscious, Valrieth releases her concentration on entangle so that they can all move around freely.
Val glances at the half-open door, alarmed, and looks across the room at the girl, Mishka. She cranes her neck and stands tiptoe to get as tall as possible, waves frantically at the girl, and then nods her head encouragingly and gives the girl an "OK" sign.
Mishka just chucks a bunch of potatoes into the oven hoping to soon be free.

She nods, picks up the trussed dragon and takes it outside.
