Wreji tries to cut or slice the swarming maggots off, finding his sword less effective...The glowing creatures can not find any real openings in the paladin's armor!

Swarm DC13 Dex: 21(Of course, since the swarm is crawling all over you, you are also in the area of effect for the spell. Technically, I should have you also roll a Dex save, but I'm not gonna be a dick at this point in the game!)
The swarm sizzles and shrivels under the sacred flame called down from the heavens! Wreji finds a secret compartment in the left armrest of the ornate chair. This compartment contains a black metal tube containing a spell scroll of wall of force.
"Yuck what a mess..." Wreji states as he grabs the scroll and meets the rest of the group, "This could be useful no? Not sure if I would be the best to hold onto this... maybe one of you would find more use"
(To help move this along, here are all of the areas to possibly see/find something...)
Spelljamming Area (#3): Lying on the floor of this raised platform is the headless body of a mind flayer. The stench of the rotting corpse is unpleasant, to say the least. The dead mind flayer lies in an otherwise open space where you imagine the ship’s helm used to be.
Mess Hall (#6): The door to this forward compartment has been fastened shut with sutures made of ropes and steel hooks.
Cargo Hold (#14): This cargo hold looks and smells like a slaughterhouse. Bodies lie strewn about the deck, and the floor is stained with blood. Most of the bodies appear to be human, but one is an arachnid form with an eel-like neck and head that lies as motionless as the others.
Cellblock (#17): The rotting corpse of a headless mind flayer lies amid the hacked-up corpses of three hulking creatures with blood-spattered white fur. The condition of the corpses suggests that something or someone has been feeding on them.
Storage room (#19): A terrible stench fills this compartment, but the flickering lights can’t reveal its source. You do, however, hear heavy breathing.
Nip flies down to the Mess hall and, seeing the door barricaded, calls for the others. "There's obviously something in here. Are we all ready to go in?" Assuming everyone wants to proceed, Nip will begin slashing at the ropes with his talons until the door can be opened.
As you approach the sutured door, a voice calls out for help in Common. "Hello? Hello, please free me! I was trapped in here by those aberrations that murdered the rest of the crew! Please help me. My name is Jaspar Graves and I'm a human pirate. Please...don't leave me in here!"
"STAND BACK FROM THE DOOR. IF YOU MAKE ANY MOVE THAT WE CONSIDER HOSTILE, WE WILL CUT YOU DOWN WITHOUT SECOND THOUGHT." Nip calls through the door as he finishes slicing through the ropes. To his companions, "I'm not really sure how we will be able to tell if he is still under the sway of the weirdos. I don't trust this though. Be ready"

After about a minute of cutting through the ropes, you can open the flesh door. standing behind it, about 20 feet away in an old mess deck of sorts, is a neh-thalggu. This gross creature has a bulbous body and six legs resembling those of a crustacean. Four bulging eyes and a tooth-filled maw dominate its hideous visage. Behind and above these features, several lumps protrude from its body. It's gurgling laugh as you open the door is the stuff of nightmares! It points a clawed limb at Nip and utters an arcane phrase in a language you don't understand. (Nip - make a DC11 Wis save or be paralyzed.

Nip hears the creature speak in some foreign tongue and feels his body begin to stiffen but a moment of concentration is all it takes to shrug it off. "Everything here wants to mess with our minds."
On his turn, Nip will send two arrows at the creature.

Nip cuts through the last rope binding the portal together and has to fight off a psychic assault. He immediately retaliates by sending two arrows into the disgusting creature.
As the bugs fail to penetrate his armor Wreji attacks with two swings of his sword to try to disperse the pests: (rolling in game log)
