A magical doorway appears on the main deck of your ship. The flamboyantly dressed figure from the esthetic bubble steps through it brandishing a trident, and the doorway closes behind them. Sparkling light surrounds the figure. “Heading to Topolah’s tower, are we? I don’t think so. My friends in the Xaryxian Empire don’t want you meddling in their affairs."
“But forgive me, I haven’t introduced myself. My name is Hastain. When the elves came looking for a suitable world to nourish their dying star, I suggested yours. It isn’t every day I get to witness the destruction of a planet. I promise, it will end beautifully—even if you’re not alive to see it.”
(Wreji - you're on the deck of a ship out in wildspace...so probably not sitting astride your steed. Certainly not enough room on the deck for any kind of maneuvering =)

Pimfire shifts his shoulders ever so slightly as if adjusting for a heavy weight. He slides to duck out of the line of sight even as he draws from his quiver the black-tipped arrow and prepares to let loose with two shafts in quick succession
Nip is up in his roost at the top of the main deck. When he sees the figure emerge from the spectral door, he immediately readies himself. As soon as he determines that this is not a friend, he will notch two arrows and wait just a beat for the swarm of mites and fleas to completely cover them before letting them fly.

He will then use his movement of 50ft flying to swoop down and rake his talons across the interloper before taking an attack of opportunity and flying back up to a high spot on the ship.
Nip sends 2 arrows at the reigar, but they both seem to veer off at the last second and miss it! His surprise grows as not even his talons can find any purchase... (AC19) As he tries to escape, the reigar stabs at him with its trident. (AoO: 25 Piercing + force Damage: 9
Pim tries to hide behind the living tree, draws an arrow and...(?)

(Botting Wreji...it's been 2 days)The paladin channels his deity's divinity and holds aloft his holy symbol, attempting to abjure the extraplanar reigar. "Be gone, evil one!" he shouts. (Hastain DC13 Wis save: 13)
If the reigar fails its save: The audacious creature stops short, and a look of horror comes over him. Another dimensional door appears, and he steps through it, ending the tense standoff. Commodore Krux wastes no time and orders his first mate to make full speed away from the esthetic ship and towards Topolah's tower!
If the reigar makes its save: Hastain laughs at Wreji's feeble attempt to turn him and speaks an arcane phrase in celestial. You all feel a tug in your mind to surrender yourselves to this glorious creature and follow him. (Hastain casts mass suggestion - DC18 Wis saving throw or you follow his suggestion to the best of your ability for the next 24 hours.)
