Can Ballen look for a rock or piece of wood to throw at an empty corner of the room? She would like to try and temporarily distract the gazer, maybe to give the next attack advantage on their attack.
There is plenty of stuff to throw, however the Gazer has good perception, lots of eyes and lots of enemies that it can already see and you aren’t within 5ft of the target. If you want to move within 5ft of the target then using the help action becomes easy to add advantage to the next attack roll.
Distracting it would be hard by just creating a noise from where you are. You can try with a ranged distraction check, you might be better off trying to distract it with a spell. If it doesn’t use concentration you won't lose bane. Whatever you do, then roll a deception check with your distraction if you are doing it from more than 5ft. You can also just do a regular improvised attack and chuck something at the Gazer, there are lots of random beer bottles poking out of the boxes.

Sinak shouts out “Don’t give up now, we have almost finished it! Attack, all of you!” He points his hand at the remaining Gazer, and a bolt of fire streaks toward the odd beast, he hopes to watch it sizzle and drop.
Eilla is up. She cannot move closer to Gazer B (but is already next to it). She has disadvantage on attack rolls due to her fear.

"G-get back!" Eilla fearfully flails at Gazer B with her rapier! 11
Eilla swings wildly, the unnatural fear of the Gazer is too much for her and she misses.

Cat is up
Gan-Re: Aarakocra Barbarian - The Wild Beyond the Witchlight | DM - Keys of Empire
Second verse, same as the first. Cat swishes her wand and casts [Tooltip Not Found] at the gazer!
(DC 13 Con save or suffer 3 cold damage and disadvantage on next attack roll the gazer makes!)
The battered and baned Gazer is covered in frost and takes even more damage, but the little ball of angry evil floats on.

Okay Ballen uses thaumaturgy to make an eerie voice whisper near the gazer but opposite whoever is next to it. "Hey! Ugly! Not them! Over here!"
Deception: 8 (figures)
Done, staying put behind boxes.
Even under the effects of the bane, the Gazer’s perception is too high to be distracted with enemies directly in front of it.

Kelytha, is up.

Fire bolt : Attack: 5 Damage: 3
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The beholder-kin dodges out the the way of the firebolt. Showing that it isn't done yet
Gan-Re: Aarakocra Barbarian - The Wild Beyond the Witchlight | DM - Keys of Empire
The gazer cannot actually speak and just repeats random words. So it's probably just coincidence that it sounds like it says "Ha, stupid, elf"
Gan-Re: Aarakocra Barbarian - The Wild Beyond the Witchlight | DM - Keys of Empire
Eilla continues to fearfully swing at the gazer with her rapier!
Attack: 16 Damage: 12
The gazer flies over the blade easily and Eilla is too scared to commit to the lunge. It lets a a string of random words such as "Eat" and ""Face"
[OOC]Thanks condition does last until end if its next turn :-)

Seeing Eilla struggle with the Gazer, Kelytha steps in, attempting to strike it while it bobs up and down in the air.
Longsword: 22 - dmg 6 slashing
The effect of the now dead Gazer's beam having worn off, she focuses on the one left and strikes true with a yell.
