"Buck buh buh..." Roo is muttering over and over as he slips off of Glory of Morning and begins to approach Thavius. "Now wait a moment, friends. He's not done yet. Not even clucking close."
Roo draws the glowing mace from his back and shows it to Thavius.
"His name was Fog' Horn." Roo said, puffing his chest out so that his armor gleamed in Thavius's face. The green light reflects off his gleaming armor. "Tell me about Fog' Horn, what was he doing when you saw him here? And when was the last time you saw him, if you saw him more than once? And this mace. It was inside the statue of your false idol, Zariel, when we smashed it. You see, Thavius...I don't think you're telling us everything. You've betrayed Reya and your people. You've lied to Wilfred. You've lied to my friends. You've lied to me. Buck buck buhgah... And my friends are ready to kill you in a very, very bad way. You understand I'm sure. But see, I'm not to that point yet. I have other...thoughts. Buck."
He twirls the mace in one hand, slowly, feeling its weight.
"Why don't we set the puzzlebox on the floor and I smash it to clucking pieces while he watches."
As Reed lets the others question the old man, he starts checking out the coffers on the three tables, his eyes glittering with possibilities as he starts.
Coffer #1 stands open after Corlith checked it out, so Reed moves on to Coffer #2, opening it up he finds 100 gold pieces inside. Opening #3 he finds another 100 gold pieces. As he opens Coffer #4, he finds an old leather bag that is shoved into the space of the small chest.
Coffer #5 contains two pieces of a broken ceremonial dagger that has a curved ivory blade bearing Draconic runes, along with a bone hilt wrapped in leather strips and studded with gemstones. Coffer #6 contains 100 platinum pieces and Coffer #7 has a small glass vial with a thick dark red liquid inside. And Coffer #8 has twenty azurite gemstones (10 gp each).
When Wilfred yells at Thavius about Blair, he flinches as though he's been hit. "I... I don't know, I didn't ask." he replies meekly. He finally looks up when Roo starts addressing him. "I only saw your friend once, he was checking out these tunnels and I let the Duke know when I saw him, she didn't seem thrilled about it as she hates intruders. I didn't do anything to him, I swear, I swear!! I don't know anything about that mace." and he covers his face again when Roo talks about smashing the puzzlebox.
Virro stands there watching as the tension builds, tapping his foot. He sees Reya finally come to her senses, enlightened. Finally. His look toward Thavius starts to get darker.. and darker.. and darker. Finally he pulls out his dagger, when he hears the half truths, the incomplete answers. He has heard enough.
“That’s it. I told you. I warned you. All of us did. Well, the pouch must be satisfied.” To anyone else, those would be strange words to say. But everyone in this room knows what that means. Virro grabs hold of the digit he kept eyeing earlier (the index finger of his right hand) and he chops down viciously with his dagger, slicing it off and putting it in his pouch.
“You get to decide how many more I take. Try me. I dare you…”
Dagger : 21 to hit, for 7 points of damage.
“Now try again, and tell us ALL of it. Or pouchy just keeps feeding, nom nom nom….”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Corlith watches and listens, getting slightly frustrated at Thavius' lack of information.
"I wonder Thavius, if you dream now of death and your soul being reclaimed by Zariel so you can finally be with her? Is that how it works? You seemed to suggest the Duke was there now she was dead yes?", he says as he steels himself and wanders over and kneels down a little way away from Kreeg.
"Well, I can assure you that death will not come for you, only pain. Look around you. We are an eclectic mix, some of us eminently capable of causing great harm and pain, and yet in equal measures we have the capacity to heal. We are quite capable of taking everything from you, leaving you to live a pitiful mockery of a life whilst never letting that life end. That finger is just the start I'm afraid", he explains to the already pretty broken man.
Thavius screams as his finger is removed. He looks to Virro with utter fear and incomprehension as to who these people are. "What else can I tell you?! We did it for power, the duke and I, got into bed with beautiful Zariel for power and she required Elturel. Deal was made."
Knowing his fate and succumbing to it, "Please... just kill me and get it over with."
"What was the deal? What did Zariel require of you? There must be more, you must have done something in exchange for power!", Corlith replies. "There is no death for you until we are satisfied you have told us everything!".
He sits down to wait, picking up the potion Archie left on the floor.
Reed starts counting coins but frowns when some of Thavius’s outbursts cause him to lose count. Eventually he hums a tune to himself to drown out the noise, his smile increasing more and more as he counts.
He takes a look into chest 1 to see how many electrum pieces are in there, then he opens the leather bag and takes a look inside.
Does the vial with the res liquid look similar to the healing potions they had found before?
“Not sure, but it will give me something to do whilst we wait for the High Overseer here to realise he has more to say”, Corlith replies after catching the vial.
He then sets his focus on the vial to see if he can figure out what it is.
Corlith looks closely at the vial with the dried blood in it for some moments, even opening it up and sniffing the contents. He then takes out his dagger and makes a shallow slice in the palm of his hand, and allows some blood to drip into the vial. He then puts the stopper back and continues to observe.
"You know what Reed, I believe I do know what this is, and if I am right it will come in very handy as well", he says as a bit of a smile creases his face.
“Do you need a little more blood for that vial?” Virro asks Corlith calmly. “Here’s some!” He slices down hard on the left thumb of Thavius, slicing it off his hand and adding it to his pouch. He removes the pouch and shows Thavius, “See, see how many fingers of cultists I have in here? We have all night. Why don’t you just tell us everything Thavius. I’m tired and need a little rest, but you had to go and drag this out, didn’t you? WELL I’M GETTING TIRED OF IT! HURRY UP AND SPILL YOUR GUTS OR SO HELP ME I’LL DO IT!” Virro is standing in his face and yelling at him, spittle flying off his lips and onto Thavius, he stares at him, waiting for him to offer anything further, tapping the blade of his dagger on his hand.
Dagger : 17 to hit, for 7 points of damage.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"No, no, thanks Virro. That is plenty of blood now. I just need to spend some time with it", Corlith replies as he can't help but turn away from the sight of the thumb extraction. "And don't get agitated, take a walk, go find Archie maybe. This one we can bring with us to spend the rest of their life in a Flaming Fist cell", he adds calmly.
He looks over Thavius to see how his health is, and whether he will need first aid or magical healing right away. If he can get away with first aid, he will do it.
Virro starts shaking his head. “No, no, no, no no. We would go through the whole thing again just like we had to do with Reya. This lump of a being would probably convince them to seize us and throw us in jail! That’s not gonna work. Let’s hear other options. Ideas, anyone?” After he pops the thumb in the pouch he sheathes his dagger, considering. “Roo, I think the final stroke is yours. Up to you.” He goes and sits down in the corner, resting for a minute and trying to regain his composure.

As Virro strikes down again on the restrained man's fingers, Thavius cries out in a mixture of pain, fear and defeat. When the pouch of fingers is shoved in his face he closes his eyes and then starts shuddering, completely cowering to Virro as the elf starts losing his shit.
Thavius doesn't look so well, getting paler from the loss of blood that is pooled around on the floor beneath his bound hands. "please...please just kill me. Get it over with, I have nothing left..." he whimpers.
Corlith, eyes rolling, goes over and bandages up his hands where his missing fingers/thumbs were.
As Reed finishes moving all the treasure they've liberated from the house and dungeon into the new bag, he comes across a couple of items he'd forgotten about.
"Ooh, gotta be careful with this stuff," Reed says swirling a couple of flasks of alchemist's fire. "Should help when we need to burn the mansion down."
He looks over at Thavius and at Corlith.
"Can a powerful devil just bring him back to life if they wanted to?" Reed muses.
Reed slips over to the doorway and looks out into the hallway to make sure there aren't more cultists coming their way.
Reed waves at Archie and Reya when he sees them in the hallway. He then sticks his head back into the treasure vault.
"How about we just keep him chained up in here for now? We can lock the door when we leave, finish going through the dungeon and then come back and deal with him."

Reed points out the broken dragon dagger to the others.
“Is this dragon cult stuff? Oh and I think this is a vial of dried blood? Not sure what that’s about.”
Then he happily dumps all the coins, ingots and gemstones into the bag and attaches it to his belt.
”I think this will come in very handy.”
He then lightens his pack and adds the rest of the loot he’s been scooping up as they’ve made their way through the house and dungeon.
”But I think we’re going to have to go with an absolutely no fingers policy on the bag, Virro. That’ll start to stink.”
Corlith turns around as Reed mentions the vial of dried blood.
“A vial of dried blood? That doesn’t sound right, surely it wouldn’t be here in the vault if that is all it is. Might I see?”, he asks.
Reed flips the vial of dried/drying blood over to Corlith.
”You know what that is then?” Reed asks.
He then waves his hand at the air near his head.
”Look, it’s not like you can use any of this anymore,” Reed says then pauses and smiles. “See Dead Eye gets it.”
“Not sure, but it will give me something to do whilst we wait for the High Overseer here to realise he has more to say”, Corlith replies after catching the vial.
