Tivara looks at the woods with the heavy mist. Not liking one bit the low visibility. She's glad she has a traveling companion for this one as she leads the way stepping forward in response to Oselorn waiting for permission "Follow me. Music may help keep some things away. I heard there was problems with werewolves around here though. I'll take point incase something shows. Hopefully we can just make it to our destination quickly. Stay in sight in the mist. If it gets too thick we should do something to make sure we don't get separated" She makes sure her variety of weapons is ready for whatever they may run into in that mist. A bow, a whip, a rapier and a set of daggers all at hand. As she moves, she's on high alert for any kind of movement or sound. She feels a bit assured with Oselorn playing the music as they move on. Helping her relax a bit at least for now.
As the pair enter the forest, the fog hangs thick in the air, turning the trees around them into gray ghosts. Then they notice those are not the same trees that had stood in front of them just moments ago. Black pools of water stand like dark mirrors in and around the muddy roadway that seemed to continue onwards from the previous path. Giant trees loom on both sides of the road, their branches clawing at the mist that surrounded them.
{With a 5 Tivara doesn't see or hear anything that could be considered dangerous.}
Oselorn's tune wavers ever-so-slightly as he notices the change.
He glances at Tivara for a moment, almost subconsciously positioning himself a little closer to her as he continues pressing forward, eyes scanning the treeline for the first hint of danger.
After moment, he lowers his instrument and speaks in a hushed tone. "On second thought... Perhaps we'd do well not to court attention from whatever might linger in these woods."
He continues walking forward, matching Tivara's pace stride for stride.

Tivara smiles as Oselorn begins to feel nervous and inches closer to her. She just nods in agreement as she replies in a quiet voice as well "I was enjoying the music but, yes. Perhaps it's best. Although, whispering might not do much seeing as you just stopped playing." She grins teasingly. Truth is, she is tense as well. There is a definitive sense of danger in these woods. Fear and excitement mix in her mind as she continues forward. She's not reckless and danger seeking but she loves the thrill when it feels like something might happen. It was an odd note in her mind, that Oselorn's music seemed to dispel that feeling of dread but now she finds herself walking in silence. All too aware of the pools of water that seem almost too dark and the trees seeming to reach out like claws in the mist.
As the pair continue forwards they hear what appears to be a horse coming towards them. As the sound gets closer, through the mist comes a skeletal warhorse and rider, both clad in ruined chainmail. The skeletal rider holds up a rusted lantern that sheds no light and as it passes them it glances towards them for a moment before shaking it's head slightly.
{It's the same rider that Grégorie and Tanyi ran into}
Oselorn grips his axe, ready to act as he watches the skeletal rider pass. He whispers to Tivara, "Am I still drunk from last night or was that a skeleton riding a horse?"

Tivara grabs her whip and small shield ready to defend against an attack. She unfurls it and lets it gently drag a bit behind her. "No, the drink was good but not that good. I saw it too. Undead. Be ready, there is almost never just one." Tivara ready's an action to attack the first aggressive thing rushing them that gets within her reach. Prioritizing hitting anything that seems to focus on rushing Oselorn first then herself. She will let go and not attack anything that runs by hoping the mist is hiding the duo and not wanting to draw attention to themselves if able.
{The rider is just barely still in their line of sight, so while they might not initially see the other two.}
{Scratch that, with a 25 Tanyi hears two separate sets of footsteps not that far behind the rider. Upon closer inspection she notices a tabaxi and a half-drow.}
Following Tivara's lead, Oselorn draws his hand axe, keeping it ready in his hand. Not being quite so noble he readies his attack prioritizing anything that rushes directly at him.

The rider passes by them and doesn't seem to be all that interested in the pair. In the distance you can hear what appears to be footsteps and the faintest hint of light coming from the same direction.
Oselorn watches the rider disappear down the road and turns to Tivara. "Well... That's certainly an auspicious start to our journey. What say we--" at which point he notices the footsteps and the light on the road to head.
He tries to make out what he can see or sense about the approaching travelers as he regards Tivara. "Your professional hypothesis... adventurer to adventurer..." He says, nodding toward the light up ahead. "Those good guys or bad guys coming our way?"

"In my experience undead don't need sources of light but who knows. The voices and light together makes me think they are travelers. I'd be ready just in case though. I'll call out to them."
Tivara then faces the source of light and direction of voices and says "Hail travelers! Identify yourself!"

Oselorn pulls out his ocarina and begins playing a tune (and granting Tivara 1d6 of Bardic Inspiration for the next 10 minutes).
He looks to Tivara, looking for her consent before moving forward into the mist.
