"Take the west road from here and you'll reach the Svalich Woods. Once you reach them, then it's a five hour march to the village." The messenger says before turning his attention towards the bartender and motioning towards the patrons. "Fill the glasses, one and all. Their throats are obviously parched." He tosses a purse heavy with gold to the tender before turning away.
Relieved to see another living being ahead, Grégoire approaches the small figure, his flaming torch held out in front of him to shed some light. "Who goes there? Step into the light and we shall talk." The young monster hunter says with a firm voice.
Tanyi continues in the mist. Fog does not scare her, neither the night. Actually not much scares her... only one thing, one creature. "could they be lurking around around?...No, not their type... This is something else.". She looks around and tries to find a path.
Perception: 6
{With a 6, Tanyi can see fire behind her and she hears a voice not that far behind her.}

Oselorn sees the gold hit the bar then looks to Xander and Tivara. "Well, accepting this mysterious invitation sounds like a fatally bad decision... I am all for it! What say you, gentle-beings? Unlikely traveling companions stepping into the heart of danger? Such a classic song. Let's make it our own.

Tanyi sees the fire, most likely a torch. "No monster carry a torch, but let's check silently" she told herself to gains confidence She approaches the source of the light until she sees who is shouting Stealth: 20
Seing the silhouette of a fighter, alone, she comes out of the shadows. "Sheath your weapon, I hold no grudge to you. If I wanted you dead, you'd be lying on the floor already. I am Tanyi, and who are you ?"
In the light from the torch Tanyi sees the young white-haired man with the exquisite long white overcoat sheathing his black blade, giving you a friendly smile. "You don't lack confidence in yourself Tanyi, but I suppose I wouldn't find you out here by yourself if you did." The young man says with a small chuckle. "I am Grégoire de Fronsac, hunter of monsters, Loup-Garou to be precise, you wouldn't happen to have seen any passing this way my brave little friend?" He continues with a courteous bow.
Tanyi sees very quickly that this human is not a threat. She gives a smile and replies: "Werewolves you mean ? Haven't seen any and I'm glad. Maybe we should stick together if you think there are some in the area." She looks around, trying to see any movement: Perception: 22 "This bloody mist, it is impossible to see where I am going. I'll never find my way home it seems..."

Tivara nods and says "I would not say no to some company on the journey. Sounds like there is dangers around. I wouldn't say no to listen to you play more either. I quite enjoyed it earlier."

"I'll be honoured by your company Tanyi." The monster hunter says with a friendly smile and another courteous bow before moving on in the direction he was headed. "And where would home be then?" Grégoire contiunues in a confident and casual tone as he starts to make his way slowly through the thick mist.

"Home is far it seems. I am from a city called Blingdenstone, a city full of gems and treasures, deep within the Underdark. Ever heard of it ?"
She stop abruptly and notices the bats. "Northeast, Monsieur Grégoire. Now, I would guess they are running away from something. Should we mimic them or should we check what has spooked them" she asks with a large smile."I could use some exercise" She notices the torch and sighed "Ah, human. I guess you cannot see in the dark. That will give our position away. I might stay a few feet from you, in the shadows."
Oselorn smiles at Tivara, "In that case, my new tabaxi traveling companion, I think we'll get along swimmingly. We'll leave at first light!"
Oselorn calls to one of the innkeepers, securing himself a room for the night. He then turns to the old musician, already pulling out his orcarina. "What say you, friend? One more ballad before my head hits the pillow? Perhaps a traveling song. Something to fill a hero's heart before a perilous journey..."

"Blingdenstone, the fabled city of the svirfneblin, of course I have, I'm an educated man even though I sometimes spend my time hunting in the mist." Grégoire replies with a friendly smile. "Admittedly it is the only deep gnome settlement I've heard of." He adds with a chuckle.
"Yes, you go ahead and use me as bait, sly one." Grégoire says with a smile and a wink to Tanyi before she disappears into the shadows. "Now let's see what scared off the chauves-souris." He adds as he starts making his way to the southwest, his torch held up and his pitch-black blade drawn.

As Grégoire makes his way southwest the fog moves closer to him and as he goes further into it, it starts to wrap itself around him. If he was to stay there long he will start to feel as though he is being chocked by some unseen force even though it's actually the fog.
The old musician gives him a small nod as he grabs his viol again. "Sure, one more ballad for the night sounds good. I wish you and your travel companion a safe trip by the way... even if the journey will truly be a perilous one." He says as he begins to play again.
Grégoire continues with grim determination, doing his best to fight off the paralyzing fear that would be his doom. There had to be an end to this fog.
"Thank you sir. A song and lively spirits before some hardwork. That is something I can get behind." After this Tivara just enjoys the music that the duo play a bit of a smile but ready for the next step. Seems they will be traveling in the morning. She will have to take note of who's coming and who's going.
{Apologies for the delay, I thought I'd responded but I must have forgotten to hit post reply before closing the tab.}
As he continues forwards into the fog he notices a shadowy figure approaching him. As the figure got closer to him he sees a skeletal warhorse and rider, both clad in ruined chainmail. The skeletal rider is holding a rusted lantern that sheds no light whatsoever, and the pair don't seem to notice him. It appears that they are searching for something that they cannot find.
The musician gives her a faint smile as himself and Oselorn continue to play. Once the song is finished he takes a bow before packing up his viol and preparing to head out for the night. "Good evening everyone. I wish you two luck on your quest and hopefully we'll cross paths again someday." He says with a small chuckle before making his way towards the door with a soft hum. As he left a middle aged man had left alongside him. After that a few of the other patrons began to leave.
Oselorn pays for a room and goes straight to bed. He's grown quite comfortable here. It feels like he's been in this tavern for weeks. However, he's eager to get on the road to see what adventures lie ahead...
