It's about a two day walk or one day ride. There is also a ferry that goes down the river.

"Looks like about a two days walk or a day riding" Delia states "Or, we can take the ferry that goes down the river" she adds "I personally don't have a stead so I'll need to walk or take the ferry, which would be my preference" she tells the others.

“The ferry sounds convenient,” agrees Cork. “How much is it?”

Joiner attempts to go to the local library before we embark but gets distracted by two old men talking about local politics. 

In response to Delia, "I believe the ferry would be quote delightful this time of year!" 

Yeah, don't get anything from the seven. The ferry would be 3 silver.

"We best gather all our equipment before heading out" Delia suggests "Let's meet back here in one hour so that we can catch the ferry"

Once they were all back together and at the ferry docks "Three silver seems like a fair price to me" Delia states as she pulls the coins and pays the fare before boarding the ferry.

(Does Mycroft's Government Senior Discount card works with the ferry??)

Mycroft comes back 40ish minutes later with a small briefcase. "Fortunately I don't have much to pack. I am ready to have a little bit of fun. Ladies and Gentlemen."

Cork had all prepared quite quickly  and waited at the dock until they all arrived and boarded the ferry. “3 SP, here you go,” he says when entering the ferry and paying his due.

Joiner carries a bag as big as him and says to his Owl," Mr. Peepers, pay the fine seamen." Though with this large bag, Joiner seems to be moving with relative ease. Then you see one other smaller bag floating behind him carried by a translucent orange hand, all full of books and scrolls.

Why the Gold?

I don't have any silver so I paid with what I had. 

Cool, The dock worker, a dwarven female hands you back 7 silver.

Joiner thanks the Dwarf and gives back an extra 2 silver. 

"Much appreciated" the dwarf says with a wide smile.

Joiner ruffles through one of the bags and pulls a small weathered book with a title in dwarvish. Handing it to the woman Joiner says, "I am not sure what it says but an older Dwarven woman told me it is a well-loved story from her childhood. You should take it." 

Mycroft pays his fare as well, he will be the last one to go on board. (Removed another 3 silver). He tips his round top hat as he gets on board.

Delia has a seat on the ferry and crosses her legs "How long of a trip did you say this would be?" she asks
